can you connect a 2nd charger to charge anytime and use them both at the same time?

Hi all I have a Liberty 100 electric & EGV4v gas meter. I am attempting to connect a second hand Pipit 500 IHD to them but the IHD is asking for a PIN number to un-pair the previously paired meter before I can attempt to connect the unit to my meters. I have tried the pin 1793 which does not work (number was obtained from the manual and various internet posts, this number does work with the units advanced settings but not for un-pairing), I have also tried generic pin’s like 0000, 1234 etc but they don’t work either.Please can someone provide the correct pin or details on how to factory reset the Pipit. Thank youChas242

I have had Charge Anytime for a few weeks now, and other than an issue with Ovo displaying incorrect monthly £/kWh totals, it has been working great, until now!Plugged in yesterday evening around 6pm, unplugged this morning to find it had not charged at all. Looking in the Ohme app it shows it was plugged in for the duration, but zero charging took place - which has caused a bit of an issue travelling today 😠The schedule on the Ohme is set to smart charge to 100% by 7am, and has worked perfectly until now. Why did it not charge? Did Kaluza determine that there was no ‘green’ time to do it, so just did nothing? This is very concerning and raises serious questions about the smart charging concept going forward.   

Hi, I had my RTS meter replaced with a smart meter in December. I wasn’t aware it would cause my fuse box to trip for as long as I’ve been told (6 weeks as per the time given for information to be updated), I was under the impression this would last only about 48 hours. A week or two after it was fitted I asked OVO support about the fuse box tripping, and was told I’d have to wait the 6 weeks. It flips 10-20+ times a day, but the issue is that my heating system takes so long to heat up that my house is sitting at about 13-14C, and I’m a disabled person. This is causing me a lot of pain on top of the expected annoyance at the inconvenience. I’ve also had my computer shut down while writing, losing anything I’ve been working on that hasn’t been saved- which is more of an inconvenience but I’m afraid it’ll mess up my computer eventually as the flips are quite unpredictable. I turned on Urgent mode yesterday, just to test.I now cannot get the app to turn it off again. I have followed the FAQ guidance which says to unplug the charger for at least 30 minutes. It has been unplugged for a good deal longer, and still is not resetting. Why does the app not have a button to turn off Urgent mode? Please can you advise how I can get the app to switch back to the Schedule? UPDATE: Wouldn’t you know it, I just checked the app now and Urgent mode has turned off.HOWEVER: There really REALLY needs to be a button to turn it off. I realise this is probably a problem with Kaluza, but needs to happen. 

We have just moved into our rented property and are worried that the usage stated on the app is not correct.there is a smart meter in the property but not one that we have assigned to our account! Or asked for,  Is the smart reader for the property? so therefore reading our electricity correctly and the online account is wrong?  the daily standing charge on the smart meter is also different to what it says on our tariff account online. we are now worried as it says we are using over £10 per day!!!!!  PLEASE HELP AS IF THIS IS CORRECT WE WILL HAVE TO DO SOME CUTTING DOWN DRASTICALLY

I’m writing this on behalf of my 85+ year old mother. Apologies for the long post but it does explain pretty much perfectly the issue.  Shes with OVO and has been for many years, this year her very old manual thermostat started playing up and heating was coming on in the middle of summer and was a nightmare.  I saw the Tado V3+ (Wireless Thermostat, Internet bridge and wireless receiver) deal OVO were offering earlier in the year and she bought it.   Eventually an electrician installed this around June, it's been working perfectly since then with her Baxi EcoBlue boiler. As she is on approaching 90 and is quite frail, shes like to have the heat on so its been working from around October/November time, she likes it at an indicated 23degs. I dont think it is quite that high but feels better than the 14degs  on her old thermostat!!  We have a schedule setup so from 10pm-7am daily she has it set at 14 degs C, 7am-10pm 23degsC. 

What do people find is the most effective hysteresis setting (for heating) for their ASHPs during a prolonged cold spell like we’re having currently (UK)? I have a Grant ASHP (radiators) and it’s currently 0.2 but I’m thinking I could remove it completely whilst so cold. Interested to hear what others do.Thanks in advance.A

I am an OVO customer for my electricity but with British Gas currently for my gas. Forgive my cheek for posting on the OVO forum but I can’t find another route to find answers.  I had an electric Smart meter installed by OVO in October 2022 and since then it has been working perfectly.   L+G E470 with Toshiba SKU1 communication hub. On 17th October 2023 I had a Smart gas meter installed by British Gas (L+G G470 SMETS2). When the engineer installed the meter he was in a rush and said he had to leave before the meter was fully commissioned but said another engineer would come out to complete the installation. This never happened and I was left with a piece of yellow tape on the meter saying “No commission”. I have contacted BG via Chat and phone about every 2 months but just keep getting the same answer - an engineer doesn’t need to be sent and to just wait and it would be  resolved.  Nothing is yet resolved after over a y

The standing charge and kWh rate on my Chameleon IHD are higher than my account tariffs . My Account tariffs are correct, any way to correct the IHD display? Thanks.

My father is arranging for his old meter to be swapped out for a smart meter and been offered Economy 7, 9 and 10. He worried about picking the most appropriate plan.Can plans be swapped if required. I’ve seen a post highlighting concerns for one user in Scotland about the quality of the local WAN that could make this difficult. My father lives in the South of England Area 20 and there are masts very close by.In theory does OVO offer this service of swapping between Economy plans. Many ThanksMike

I have an old smart meter, I have had no gas to any appliances since Friday evening and the meter is displaying open valve fail. It sounds like a battery fail. How can i get an emergency repair? Can't get through to OVO helpline until Monday??

Hi all.I have an Audi Q8 etron and an Ohme Smart Pro charger which is compatible with OVO Charge Anytime. Can anyone tell me how I charge a second EV? Can I just plug in the charger, or do I need to change the vehicle on the Ohme app every time?Thanks.

I am finally getting some joy with OVO and have an appointment to replace my THTC complex meter with a smart meter.  Old meter is PAYG and new will also be PAYG as I have been told I cannot go to direct debit account until new meter is in.  I live in Perthshire and have old style night storage heaters (rented property so can't change them) and immersion for hot water.  When arranging my appointment I was told I had to choose a tariff pre install and, being utterly bamboozled and frustrated at the time, I chose economy 9.   I now believe economy 10 may suit me better but have been told this would need me to change the appointment date, I don't understand why that would be the case. I was also told that I could change tariff at any time after the install which made sense to me but puts further questions in my head as to why a different appointment date would be needed to install economy 10 rather than 9 as currently arranged?

My home is in an area where smart meters do not communicate with the WAN. All the EV tariffs I can find state you must have a smart meter to be able to get the tariff. However, my husband read somewhere that it is possible to use an OVO compatible smart charger to access OVO Charge Anytime because the charger can send charging data directly to the owner's OVO online account. Can anyone confirm this is true? We really need to access an EV Tariff without having a working smart meter.

Hi there, I appreciate this has probably been asked and answered many times, but I've just topped up my Ovo card, inserted into my meter and the gas valve hasn't opened. There's £58 on the meter, the meter says ON B3, but I've got no supply. This hasn't happened before, it usually opens after a few seconds. I was directed by the Chat Bot to call 0800 111999 and they hung up on me. I'm working a late shift tomorrow and I'm not going to be able to get anything done now until after Christmas.  It's quite an old meter. I've attached a photo of it. Is there a procedure to get the gas valve to open? Thanks.  Chris

My smart meter appears to have stopped sending data/readings to Octopus as of 10 days ago.  It was installed 5 years ago and always worked fine.  The WAN light still flashes every 5 seconds so I cannot understand why it isn’t communicating. Octopus have suggested an engineer attend to conduct a “power cycle” but this won’t be for another month. Can anyone explain why this would not be communicating data and if there is anything I can do about it?  And if there is anyway to ensure meter readings data is captured to prevent me being charged a flat rate instead of the Octopus smart rate (I’m on Intelligent Go).  Thank you

Hello! I own a Mitsubishi Ecodan 14kW and the display shows ‘INVALID’ when selecting Delivered Energy. It runs ok, it records Consumed Energy. I remember that in the past the section showed some calculated values. Please see the right column, the second icon with battery with value 4321kWh. I have all the sensors, including external boiler (that did never needed to start)Can anyone advise there to look ?A picture from the book, just as an example is below. Thank you in advance for any suggestion
