My house has a 2-phase supply, with dual-rates (night and day). I’m guessing that no-one will make a Smart Meter for 2-phase supplies. Does anyone know if a 3-phase Smart Meter (when available) will be able to be fitted (and hence cope with one phase never being used)? 

I am puzzled that my smart meter sometimes shows power being exported to the grid after dark.Can anyone explain please?

Good afternoon,My first post/question.  I have aded solar panels and battery storage unit.  Does anyone experience other solar panel users that grid power is used, not much but say overnight with full battery I use 50watts. Not much but want to know other opinions.  Thanks. Jonathan 

If I stick to 3p per hr within the 4 - 7pm daily time range will I be under the 13.5% or less of my total daily electricity during these peak hrs.  It would be helpful to know what in pence terms we need to keep under to not go over this goal?

I have just had a new meter fitted and an in home smart meter but no manuals were supplied.Should manuals be supplied  

I’m currently paying monthly and have been for years. I want more control over my monthly bills and to now pay my energy bills quarterly. Is this straightforward with OVO and are there any additional charges? I am on the standard variable tariff with a smart meter.Thanks

I easily hit my targets each day and get the £15 credit.  Mainly because I live alone and chnage my lifestyle to match the target.  But what happens if I achieve the target each day excoet one.  EG someone comes for tea and I use the kettle, microwave, etc so my usage 4-7 is much higher than normal.  Do OVO stick rigidly to daily targets being achieved or is it avergae use over the week or month,  Thanks

Today 15:46 I got an email notification from OVO that there are finally Energy Experts in my area, and to book now for £25 instead of £100.By 16:20 I'd booked for Thursday, only 2 days away and with most slots untaken. Yet my confirmation email tells me "after your visit... we’ll send you a link to make your payment of £100.00 online".How is it the full amount? The email invite says £25. Is it an error in the system?  Yes I know the original announcement said 31 August but today's email didn't. 

Do i have to claim compensation for loss of power i.e. No Electricity or are you looked after automatically.

Hi hope you can help I joined ovo since feb and all going well, I’ve been sending my meter readings in monthly but this month I have been doing it weekly to make sure I’m on track, and I like the way my balance is updated straight away. This morning I gave my meter readings and although it is logged in readings my balance has not changed or updated the weeks usage in billing, is this normal? Been checking every hour but still no change , thanks

I have power of attorney for my mother. My father passed away in July 2022 and since August 2022 I have been trying to get the account transferred into my mothers name. I have completed all the forms and emailed them (at least 4 times). I have raised a complaint, which was opened and closed without anything happening, I then escalated it, and actually got a response and was told that it had all gone through and all I needed to do was put the meter readings in, in December.December 2023 - I have just tried to put the meter readings in, only to be told that is was still in progress and I am unable to put the meter readings in, so I have raised another complaint, in which they have 8 weeks to decide to do something about and too late to put readings in, so will have to wait another 3 months!We have had no payment since June 2022!This service is an absolute disgrace and I am not sure what else I can do

Hi All, I changed from PAYG to DD last week after moving in. I had been topping up and was £27 in credit. I was told that everything would be sorted, but today, the electricity was off and the meter was saying -£3.52. I’ve been on a web chat for over an hour and have got nowhere as they (it) kept transferring me. Does anybody know what’s happening to me?

Despite the fact I have put £165 on my "smart" meter in the last 10 days it is registering less than £4!  My electric is forever shutting off, two weeks ago it shut down and when I called AGAIN they were sending someone out to check the meter.  I'm still waiting for them to arrive.  Today I phoned AGAIN and have been informed NONE of my payments have gone through!  Not only that there is more than £100 discrepancy between the payments I've made and what they register.  It would stand to reason that as my energy supplier I would of made more than 5 payments, which they should know, how can their system only go back two weeks?!  Now I have to prove I have made more than 5 payments, even though the money has been taken and to add insult to injury they are about to take another payment!  Plus apparently when I spoke to customer services they took money from my account that day that I knew nothing about!  All of this is making me ill now, I can't afford to be paying £300 plus a month and no

SHOULD I DECIDE TO JOIN OVO, CAN I ONLY PAY FOR THE AMOUNT OF ENERGY I HAVE USED EACH MONTH? OR DO I HAVE TO PAY A LARGE AMOUNT EACH MONTH BY DIRECT DEBIT. IF THE LATTER THEN I WILL STAY WITH MY PRESENT SUPPLIER. THANK YOU

Hi all,recently and regrettably had a smart pay as you go top up meter installed. The engineer that installed it really didn’t give me much information at all. I have the OVO top up app on my phone with my meter registered however, the account balance has been up and down (to date I haven’t managed to top up) so I don’t understand how this actually works. My balance is currently at £5.05 and I’m trying to top up through the app but when I enter my bank details, the “top up now”icon to select to make the payment go through doesn’t register the touch so nothing happens. Alternatively, I tried to add my bank card and the “add card” icon also doesn’t register touch either. So just wondering how else I can top up? I got the smart meter in part so I wouldn’t have to look for shops to top up in and save that hassle. Thanksa concerned almost out of power reluctant OVO customer

has anyone found a solution to the ‘long standing problem’ of getting their ecodan to re-connct to the internet through wi-fi, using the WPS button on a BT Router? also; has anyone modified their ecodan controler, by adding an ethernet connection?

We have unresolved smart meter issues (another story).  Recently we have been reporting gas and electricity meter readings to OVO by telephone.  Today (1st September) I checked the electricity meter (an EDMI ES-10A) to find that the reading was unchanged from the one I reported on the 31st July  and instead of “IMPRT” above the number on the meter screen there was just a capital A.   I don’t know what is going on, could someone please enlighten me? 

I bought a £20 electricity top up from PayPoint shop to my Key and received receipt. I tried to add the credit to my meter by putting in the key but no credit has been added. I waited three hours and it still was not added. I have kept receipt. My electricity was only on 1p left by this time so I went down and bought another £20 top up. This one worked. How do I go about getting the initial £20 credited? 

Smart meter isn’t working but because I have electricity the engineers aren’t showing up to appointments. Wasting my time. I’ve had to take unpaid leave to wait in for THIRD appointment and still a no show. When I contacted OVO all they said was sorry and that I could rebook. What’s the point in rebooking??? Useless!

My daughter in law has had her storage heaters removed and replaced with gas central heating. The economy 7 tariff has been disabled by her supplier, is it possible to have the supply switched on permanently to the storage heater dis board so that some of these circuits can be used.The dis board is fed from a Secure Liberty 100 smart meter via a Proteus 100A Heating contactor.

We have a ford kuga 2022 phev, we have signed up for the charge anytime, however when we try to charge the car it doesn't ever charge properly and causes the vehicle to not power up fully in the morning until left for a while, we have tried to uninstall and reinstall the charge anytime but it still doesn't charge properly.Car charges fine without the charge anytime app. We have a pod point charger and smart meter. Does anyone have any ideas please? 

Hi everyone I am trying to connect my VW ID3 to the Charge Anytime app.It passes all the various sections right up until I have to hit the “complete“ button. After that, it says “cannot find your car” “try again or sign out”. When I click, try again, the app freezes and I have to start all over again.Any help. Much appreciated

How do I view electricity usage - the app  appears just to show gas? If I’m missing something a detailed guide would be helpful.

Can someone please help me my in home monitor on the gas is showing loads more gas than am actually using if phoned up everyday but no one seems to be helping me if done all the tests they’ve asked and still the gas is showing £20 when if fact it’s only between £3 to 4 

I'm having trouble understanding my usage chart on the app. As you can see from the 2 pics below my usage spikes on October 28th and maintains that all the way through November. I wasn't even at the location between 25th-29th October so nothing new plugged in etc. I don't understand the reason for the sudden maintained increase? I see a smart reader reading was taken on 28th Oct and 28th Nov and wondered if it then just averages it back and displays like that over the relevent period but if that was the case then why is there still slight variations day by day? To be clear, I am not saying I am being overcharged. From mid November heating on and I am sure the bill amount is correct, I'm just trying to understand the usage table as i can't understand the spike around 28th Oct. Help please!
