Errors on Charge Anytime app with Volkswagen

Hi everyone

I am trying to connect my VW ID3 to the Charge Anytime app.

It passes all the various sections right up until I have to hit the “complete“ button. After that, it says “cannot find your car” “try again or sign out”. When I click, try again, the app freezes and I have to start all over again.

Any help. Much appreciated

We’ve seen this a few times and have some tips on how to solve it.

You’ll need to be logged in to a specific Volkswagen (VW) app on your phone, and register your vehicle correctly to the right VW login through the Charge Anytime app. Not sure which VW app to use? Check the following:

  • For ID vehicles, the correct app name is now "Volkswagen"
  • For non-ID vehicles the correct app is "We Connect". Please note: the "We Connect" app says you need an ID vehicle to be logged in, this is incorrect, and you can continue without one.
