We were required to do a software update by solis, all was going well until the inverter became unresponsive. The display is lit but all the digits are like black squares. No matter what buttons we press there is no change. It has just stopped working. We have been back in contact with solis and have been given various instructions, but they all require us to select menus on the inverter. They aren't grasping that the buttons don't do anything. So I'd thought I'd ask here if anyone has any ideas about how we get the inverter to wake up and start working.  

Kaifa M120 displays Rates 1 and 2 for Economy 7 Metering, OVO are invoicing the 2 rates separately but IHD3 only shows 1 rate? How can I see both rates on my IHD3 as I was told I would?  Can anyone help?

Car bz4xIndra Smart ProCharge anytime has worked well for several months. However, today the history page is showing the charger offline and charging is not recorded. The charger is charging and seems to be functioning normally. Kaluza can see(show) what I’m charging, it updates when I set a charge time and switches between Solar and normal charge showing all changes in the app.I have restarted the router and Indra charger which goes through its start up sequence and shows no errors. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I’m trying to arrange the SEG with OVO, but am caught in the middle between them and my solar panel installer.OVO requested confirmation of DNO approval. I sent them the DNO approval my installer had supplied. OVO says this is missing information, as there is no stamp on it saying approved. I went back to my installer who said the form is correct, it shows the agreed export amount (4.6KW) and DNO don’t stamp the forms any more.I sent that response to OVO who replied again saying the information is missing, and there needs to be a letter or email from DNO (UK Power Networks) saying the application is approved. Sent that response to my installer, who replied again, attaching the same DNO G99 application form, highlighting the agreed export amount, and saying that is the DNO approval.Which one is right?Thanks - Victoria M.

HelloWe’re buy our first EV, Volvo XC40 registered 9/2023. Have seen the Hypervolt Pro 3 or Ohme Home Pro. Like both but have questions about both: The Ohme is only 3/4G.. my only issue with this is that our house connectivity isn’t always as efficient as it should be and we have ‘black spots’ in the house where we can get intermittent connect. Can I assume this wouldn’t be the charger for me? The Hypervolt pro seems more suitable however my worry is the charger is on a trial. The trial terms states:2.2 You accept that this is a trial offering, and that the purpose of the trial is to assess the viability and effectiveness of providing the Charge Anytime add-on to owners of the newly unlocked vehicles.As such, you accept that the Charge Anytime add-on may not operate properly or be fully functional, for which neither we, nor our partners will be liable. (But if any of these arise, we'll try to minimise their impact on you).

Hi there, I had a smart meter installed about a month ago. In the last couple of weeks the lights in the apartment have started flickering, particularly when power-hungry devices (e.g. kettle, microwave) are used. Over the last week or so this has got worse, and now occurs even when no appliances are in use. An electrician came today and couldn’t find any potential causes, but isn’t allowed to look inside the smart meter because it’s property of OVO. I contacted OVO this afternoon and they’re not able to send anyone out to resolve this worsening issue for the next 3.5 weeks.  Is this issue common with smart meters? Are there any potential solutions to this in the short term?Many thanks!

Hi All,I recently had a 3 phase SMETS2 meter installed - a Kaifa MA329B.I have solar PV panels on the roof and previously found it useful and easy to look at my ancient meter with a wheel to determine how the PV was doing. i.e. The wheel would obviously be stationary when I wasn’t importing any electricity.With the new meter it seems not so easy to determine whether I’m importing or exporting at any given moment. I’ve noticed on the right of the LCD screen a “J” symbol with an arrow next to it. The arrow points in one of 8 directions, but I think when I’m steadily importing electricity, the arrow is pointing Right → and when exporting it points Left ← .Am I correct in the above ? Any idea what the other 6 arrow positions mean ?Thanks, Robbie.

Maybe looking towards an EV, but my smart meter is housed in a cellar behind a 2 foot stone wall, and hence no readings to ovo in the last 3 years.They have been out to replace the meters in the vain hope that this might fix the issue, but the signal can’t get through the thick walls.So as the meter can’t be read remotely, does this mean that most of the EV tariffs are not available due to this lack of communication ?

I have a 2nd user Smart Pro installed which Indra will not support so I can’t have contact with them or the Indra app (Nice people).My question is will I be able to access charge anytime and charge at the cheaper rate and at 7kw. The charger is only charging at 3kw at this moment. Thanks for any advice in advance.    

I received a couple of Tapo P110 smart switches when I joined, and used one in my garage to control the charging of my plug-in hybrid car. This worked fine when the power move range was 16:00 to 19:00, but repeated attempts to change the schedule for an “off” period of 18:00 to 21:00 have failed. I’ve even tried setting 16:00 to “on” and 19:00 to “off” to override the old settings, but to no avail.Needless to say, I’ve tried a factory reset. Michael

Please can you advise on the below?On the Smart Charge app, on the "savings" tab, the cost for the charge doesn't add up. For example on 3/10, I used 4.3 kWh, the cost should be £0.43 based on 10p per kwh. But the cost is showing £0.71.

I have been using Charge Anytime since mid April, in fact the day I switched to OVO. Everything is fine but I am sure that I read somewhere that I get 100 miles a month free when charging.I could not see anything on my first bill. Does it just appear?

I am having a fun time with charging. I have an OHME pod charger and use it to charge 3 cars. The issue is that the charger keeps going off line. As a result it does not report all data. The upshot of this is that I miss out on up to 25% of my charging electricity being used to give credit which means about £25 a month difference between what it should be and what I actually get. I have had many email conversations with OVO and OHME the result so far being a lot of sympathy but no solution. OVO have suggested I use the Charge anytime app but apart from the inconvenience of having yet another step only one of the cars is listed as compatible.it seems to me that there are too many organisations involved I.e. OVO, kazoo, OHME, and the network provider.OVO make it clear that they are not responsible for collecting the data, OHME I assume are reliant on having a consistent 4g signal but do not say which network provider they use I.e. EE,O2, Three, Vodafone. so I

Just read on another convo on here that OVO don't have a date for when the hypervolt charger will be ready for charge anytime.Why is it even on there as an offering at the moment? People are probably getting that charger based on OVO saying this will be working by early 2024, it's still not working and there is not date for when it will be.And having a compatible car doesn't save you either of it's a newer one, OVO seems to be quite slow with getting this sorted out. All quite poor from OVO 8 thought.

Hi all,I have an 11 year old Mitsubishi Ecodan that is showing a U4 error code on the control panel. I’ve looked up the error code:Open or close circuit Ecodan thermistors (TH3, TH32, TH33, TH6, TH7, TH8) – open or close circuit or disconnected from main board.Does this require a straight swap out of the main power baord?Thanks in advance.  

 I was subject to an erroneous transfer, last March 2023. It has taken this long to get a new account number etc. So they are offering me a Simpler Energy package??  I used to have THTC as my storage heaters and hot water took advantage of the cheap rate at night and certain times of the day. Is this Simpler Energy the best package to have????Any comments/recommendations are greatly appreciated! 

Hi, I was looking through my annual usage and saw my gas was 27,000kwh a year. I live in a three bed terraced house. 2 adults, 3 kids. The heating is on in the winter months but come spring/summer and most of autumn it's not used at all. The only thing we have gas in the house is the heating. Does this seem a high usage? Thanks 

Hi allWe have a podpoint but would like to install a charger that works with the anytime tariff. We also need wifi as the mobile signal is bad here.  We don't really need to charge two cars at once, but I'm wondering if it's best to take the podpoint out and install the Indra, or whether anyone has installed a second charger alongside an existing one. I'm assuming that load would need to be considered Thanks 

Does anyone know if the Hypervolt Home Pro 3 will work directly with Charge Anytime, anytime soon?  It says on this page ‘early 2024’ https://www.ovoenergy.com/electric-cars/smart-charger#choose, but we are into April now...The phone signal is very poor at my house,  so although my car is compatible with Charge Anytime, it often does not work as my car can’t connect to 3G or 4G.  The solution (I think) is a Indra or Hypervolt charger that can connect via wifi or ethernet.I am on my second quote for an Indra charger, but each one has thrown up a a different obstacle.  Coincidentally I have an electrician working at my house already on an extension.  He can buy the Hypervolt charger and install it himself.  But the Home Pro 3 doesn’t look to work directly with Charge Anytime, which is the whole point!

I currently have dhw set to heat max 50c and a max temp drop of 10c with a run time of 90 minutes and restricted mode of 30 minutes. Seems to work fine.Wondering about scheduled times though.If I set it to heat early in the morning and again Mid to late afternoon so as to take advantage of any solar power, would that be more economical? I like to know what takes precedence, say for instance the water temp dropped to about 44c just before the second scheduled time, would the water be heated again at that scheduled point or just skip it until the next scheduled time the next morning?Mitsubishi Ecodan with Solar PV
