Time is running out…EBSS Prepayment Voucher funding from the Government will terminate on the 30th June 2023. There's lots of talk about electricity prices coming down at the beginning of July 2023.  We're stuck with THTC, despite asking repeatedly for an economy 7 meter, and have had no information about a reduction in the prices. Has anyone heard anything from OVO?? I have a horrible feeling their charges are not going to come down....

We fixed a Drive tariff in Sept 2022 for 12 months (when Boris was saying we all just had to ”suck up” the energy prices).  Under that tariff we were paying 63.49 pence per kWh for electricity and 18.72 pence per kWh for gas..  A few days and 300 prime ministers later  the EPG was announced and so our tariff for electricity has been capped at 31.44 pence per kWh for electricity and 9.74 pence per kWh for gas since 1 October 2022.  (Our plan name on the system is  “Drive 20220309 EPG“ )  On 1 July 2023 I would like to know from Ovo what our tariff is going to be please?  We’ve had no communication from Ovo regarding this.  Will it revert to the  63.49 pence per kWh for electricity or not?  If not, what will it be and what are our options? Good Evening, I am looking for some support and this seems like somewhere that will be able to help - the information already consumed has been enligtening but I do have a specific issue which I am hoping I can get some support on. I have been with British Gas since buying my property in Dec 2018 (in Scotland - that will come to life later in my story). I’ve always been on one of their tariffs which had a end time on it until the whole energy crisis put me onto the standard tarfiff which was seen to be the best for everyone - everything worked fine, I could sign into my account, I could use my in home display and all was well with the world. In Dec 2022 British Gas informed me they were moving me to their ‘new system’ - I didn’t think much of it at the time but I thought hey ‘new system’ it’s gotta be better right? This doesn’t affect customers currently onboarded with Ohme and Charge anytime. If you have an Ohme charger and a compatible EV, you’ll be able to sign up to Charge Anytime via your vehicle instead.To sign up to Charge Anytime you must be an OVO customer and have an eligible car or charger. I’m moving into an electric only rental supplied by OVO in a weeks time, it’s currently on a prepayment meter and I have no idea how these work but they sound terrible, if I sign up with OVO can I move to direct debit from day 1?

Does charge anytime work with Porsche Taycan 4s cross turismo 22.?I have an Andersen charger.

OVO sends me a text on the 7th February telling me it's time to submit our meter readings, and that this is best done on the 13th for accuracy and to avoid estimated readings.So I hang around until the 13th then, on precisely that date I submit our readings.Just checked our account today and am dumbfounded to see OVO has added one extra day's estimated reading to those I submitted on the 13th, now telling me that the best day to......etc, is the 14th.What's THAT all about?? It's a blimmin' joke isn't it. Tells me to do one thing, does something else. All I want is an accurate bill NOT an estimated one. Seems OVO are not technically equipped to carry out this simplest of tasks. Maybe just one of the reasons why they are no longer 'top of the class' in Customer's experiences (see "Which" Review). I have a PodPoint charger which doesn’t have many bells and whistles, not very smart and isn’t compatible with Charge Anytime…. However the app now has a great new lookup function which gives the CO2 forecast for Today and Tomorrow for my region. Previously I’ve only found apps that give a figure for (I assume) the whole country or just a snapshot of the regions. 

Why does OVO, where possible, not request a photograph of the existing meters in advance of the Engineer’s visit. This would surely prevent disappointment to customers being told on the day, that an  existing meter cannot be changed for whatever reason.?

So OVO Energy are my supplier (not by choice) and I moved into my house on the 27th Feb 2023.  Setup my electric account and didn't have time to get the gas done in the same call. Later ended up with a second account (told they couldn't add gas to electric account).  Later checked and noticed meter wasn't sending readings so went to do a manual one.  Noticed that the serial number on the OVO energy account was wrong so reported it straight away. This was reported on the 7th March 2023.  A case was raised apparently for a historic change from SSE and I am told there is no time scale for this being resolved.   The issue is holding me from moving supplier and OVO are doing nothing to fix this.  OVO say SSE need to fix this but OVO are my gas supplier so surely they should rectify this if there's a deadlock or actually just do a meter exchange and sort the issue out! Why this has to be so complicated is insanity! They also have the meter as being SMET1 on XOS

Will the OVO IHD unit be able to display my Gas usage if my Gas supplier is BG rather than OVO?

I've just noticed that my meter hasn't been sending readings since 24th May. It was an OVO-fitted SMETS1 that had the upgrade to allow it to be "almost" fully SMART. Any ideas why there's no readings being sent, and other than swearing at it is there anything I can do? Kinda making the entire idea worthless if I've gotta keep sending readings again.Any issues on the network that I should be aware of that may be causing this?

I’ve just been moved from a higher Fixed rate to a lower Standard Variable rate under the Gov’s EPG scheme. However when I checked my latest payments OVO have charged me two £30 Exit Fees. I got in contact with the Help Centre online and they replied that ‘this is an error we are aware of, all we need to do is raise a case to billing, as you account is under account management 27’.  I’m still waiting on billing to contact me.I’ve put this on the Forum in case others are affected. Check your latest payment carefully! 

Hi Guy’s,  My OVO contract i was on was coming to a end, i was offered a v38, when i phoned which took a hour and 12 minutes to get someone.  I spoke to a very nice person who was very hard to understand and was from abroad, i really struggled to make her out, anyway she put me on a v39, i asked why and was told that was all there was.  I asked if there was much difference n the prices, was told there was not much.  Now i wanted to know if it was a year contract, and if i could just wait till the 1st July 23 to see if Ovo will drop the price, but she kept disappearing to speak to someone, and i was speaking to her for 25 minutes it was soul destroying, and i had to leave for my hospital appointment, all i wanted was off, so i am none the wiser.  Can any of you guy’s tell me if the v39 is more expensive than the v38, also if it is a year only contract and can i leave now within the cooling period and wait to see if the July price is lower. Hello, Are there regional / location / DD Aligned PAYG OVO 1/7/23 unit rates published yet? (Only generic Ofgem National rates speculation, observed)Unit rates and standing charges can vary greatly.   

Having received very useful advice on here previously in relation to this issue I just wondered if anyone can advise on the best electricity suppliers to install a new meter to separate out communal streetlights from apartment communal supply. With free meter installation and reasonable standing charge and usage costs.  National Grid have advised that the existing landlord supply has three available cables so an entirely new supply won't be necessary. We will be able to leave the current landlord meter for streetlights serving all 17 properties on the estate. With the new meter set up for the six apartment communal costs only. Both estate and apartment companies are going to be separate freehold companies for the estate and apartments respectively and due to disagreements on apportionment for the apartments we are keen to get the meter installed ASAP. Thanks in advance for your help and advice. 

I don't know what to think. My second most expensive appliance according to the app's graph is "heating". Well, my 2 radiators have been switched off, as in literally switched off from the wall switch for the last 2 months, so how is it still showing that they're being used?Are we being charged wrongly or is it that the appliance breakdown is bogus??This is this week and last. It says last week we used over 4 quid in heating but it was 100% off! Disconnected!! How can that be then??It also says the heating readings are calculated based upon the gas we use but we don't have any gas supply at home and the app profile has that info.Is this appliance breakdown just a gimmick?Thanks

This is going out to anyone who has contacted customer services lately.. Nothing gets resolved.. It seems like the customer is doing the chasing and no one calls you back and when they do you sound like a broken record repeating the same thing over and over again.. When I first join it was a very good company.. But now it's one of the worst.. I'm still waiting for my complaint to be resolved and it's been over initially 2 months and ovo excuse is we can't put a time frame on it.. How ridiculous is that.. Can someone please explain??
