My OVO energy

tried tobregister new ovo card on gas meter, came up with CALL HELP….I did this at 11.35am only to be told I had to wait till my credit went down to 99p, rang again at 2pm they said an engineer would be out in 4 hours, now 9.15pm no engineer or call, no heating can't make hot food, breathing is suffering,  no priority number to call, have emailed complaining to them, no doubt like today will be fobbed off, think its disgusting you can't get a human on a Sunday night

paid twice because it ssid error try again so i did.its tookbto payments how do i get a refund on one

We are new to solar panels and have received only 2 payments so far, very disappointing does anyone else have a problem with how much they are generating and who should I contact!

Gas top up card stopped working at the paypoint, phones customer support, they gave me a code, wait 2 hours and get new card,.. Nearest place with any cards was 45mins walk,  off I go, gets there code wouldn't work,  fones back, gets new code,.. Goes back to shop that one didn't work.Fones back up they said they had booked an engineer for between 8pm - 11pm,... Its now 1.10am and guess what? Engineer hasn't turned up.Im Cold, ( no Heating), I'm tired, I've no hot water, it's a gas cooker,..and a gas fire, I'm not impressed.. going to be fun trying to get the kids ready for school in morning.Will I be charged for this engineer, even though he didn't turn up?? 

Hi All,I've recently swapped to OVO due to having an electric car. Everything been running fine until I saw my gas bill (which isn't great normally). I jumped from an average of about 70-80kw a day to 200kw randomly and about 1800kwh total for a 9day period.When I first swapped I was told I didn't have a smart gas meter (which I do) -then told it wasn't communicating correctly....and then told it was .I checked the app and for the period 28th jan- 6th Feb my readings were : 670 and 728 respectively which equates to 58units. I've calculated this to about approximately 660kwh for this period. I believe when ovo are calculating they are using imperial units as this would make sense why my total is 1800kw for this period. It appears the first smart reading they took was on the 28th when the issue began.I've spoken to customer service who genuinely didn't understand what I was talking about and refused to calculate. HiIf you need a smart meter to replace an RTS meter you need to pick a tariff. Does anyone know how easy is it to change to a different tariff afterwards if you decide the one you chose is not for you?  What is involved in making a change?Asking for a relative who we need to sort the new meter out for. They have storage heaters on at night. We booked an appointment and picked Economy 10 but I am not sure the night hours are long enough for the storage heaters so think we may need to do more research. I don’t know if Economy 7 still exists as an option for storage heaters.Also, I know the leaflet says RTS is being switched off at the end of June (I think) but would it really affect electricity access after that date if you haven’t sorted it? I am sure that warning must have worried a great many people and surely the energy companies must have known about all this for a long while. What happens to the people they haven’t sorted by then as they seem to have hundred

Re the meter balance figure, is this a weekly/monthly figure?  Is there VAT on top of this?Meter replaced 5th Feb.I think we might be using more electric than the THTC tariff, still trying to work things out and compare to what we were using last year this time.  

Do I repay a gas debt and standing charge whilst running on emergency credit 

When does Ovo start charging £1.50 for paper bills as I can’t see it being added on my January bill? Thanks  Sue

Hello. I have recently switched to OVO from octopus to take advantage of the heat pump tariff add on. But I can't see anywhere that the add on is active. Perhaps it is running in the back ground but I have no way of knowing. Has anybody got any experience of this? 

Dear Ovo Team,  We started our contract with OVO on 23-11-2022 and the initial reading sent was 69108 taken on 25-11-2022.  However, the last reading updated on your system shows 63871. We moved into this apartment on 28-10-2022 and the reading was 68719, again confirmed by our lending agent. (At the time we were with SSE). There is a discrepancy of around 5000 units for which we are not liable and but we were charged with November bill which became as £1936.09. I have contacted Ovo several time during december and january, they never takes action, just give me promises.  After many calls and emails, they told me they are opening the meter reading dispute. I waited for a long time but didn't get any response. Then I again sent an email, and I got a call back from them, saying they will open a meter reading dispute and this time I got confirmation through email. Even though 12 weeks hav

Hi All, I recently moved into a new house at the beginning of March and have received a bill fromOVO asking me to pay £700 from October to March, despite not living here. I have provided copies of my completion statement, my old tenancy contract, my old electric bills and a copy of moving company booking to prove this, however this has not been corrected and I am still being asked to pay this. I have contacted customer support numerous times, have been told that a case has been opened however whilst there is an open balance on my account with no direct debit, my details will be passed to credit reference agencies and third parties to seek collection. Has anyone got any advice on what I can do to resolve this. 

I’m an old SSE customer that was migrated to OVO earlier in the year. Our smart meter has been working fine and according to the website and app, it is sending readings over, but the reading has been the same each day for the last 9 days, despite the heating and water being used.When I check the reading on the meter itself, it shows the same as the reading that is being sent.  Looking back, there was also 7 days at the start of the month where this happened, and 3 days last month. The gas supply is working fine, so no problem there. I’m more than happy not to pay for it but something is definitely not right.This is the Smart Meter we have.

I am trying to switch to OVO from octopus as i am getting an EV and want to take advantage of the charge any time add on, I have SMETS2 metrers installed by octopus and currently have the Octopus GO tariff for off peak charging of my Hybrid.I consistantly get this message“Unfortunately, we can't give you a quote right now. We're currently unable to support your meter setup, but we're working on it and expect to offer quotes in 2025”It doesnt give me any other information about why i cant switch!!

I have had a none-functioning smart meter since November. OVO have booked three appointments to send an engineer and each time no one has shown up, despite assurances I was a priority and me having phoned a few days beforehand to check the appointment was still booked. How can I ensure one of these elusive creatures actually attends?

As per the title my IHD idles at the bottom of the green until I switch anything on in my flat even the kettle or toaster (both new) and then it goes to the top of the red. I’m only in a small 2 bed , 1 sitting room/kitchen flat and going through £300 a month in electric since moving in 2mths ago despite being out from 7.45-6 Mon-Fri and even when I’m in don’t have the TV on etc much . I don’t get why using anything is draining my electricity so much . I have underfloor heating but that’s on 2hrs a day as once I saw the bill the first month I adjusted it right down but no difference to my electricity bills 

My elderly mother, who is fast approaching 97, recently received a demand, from OVO, for immediate payment of her account or, she was liable to receive a visit from the bailiffs!As she does not have access to the internet, she signed up, with OVO, to receive paper bills.The previous bill was received in, or around, May 2023. She has received no communication since. Why is this?As I've stated, she's almost 97 & lives independently. She does not have a mobile phone, computer, or internet access. Even if she had the latter, she'd not have a clue how to use it!! Where have paper bills gone?Do OVO care or even give a jot about their elderly customers?   

I was given an RTI code for a £100 refund. I’ve had flu so not been able to go to shop to put on my key. Does the RTI code have an expiry date?

Hi, need help! I was taken to court by OVO without my knowledge as I had moved to a new address. I saw my credit report and realised I now have CCJ. I’m attempting to pay the balance in full to get it removed from my credit file, however I have no details of who to pay to, the account to pay into etc. I called OVO customer services but they weren’t able to help, and were giving me different amounts. I want to pay the ccj debt but don’t know who their legal team is. The ccj was filed on the 23rd of August, which means I have to pay by 23rd September to get it removed without waiting 6 years. Does anyone have the details of their legal team, who I can contact and confirm the judgment with? Thank you
