No results for 3pm-4pm power up on 17th August

Hi all,

I recieved an email for a power up 3pm-4pm on Sunday 17th August. I opted in and took part. However last weeks results email didn't show my result, despite the email saying results 11th-17th august. I have just recieved this weeks email and it only shows 18th-24th.

So where is the missing result?

Did anyone else opt in to this session and find their result missing from the weekly results email ?

Hey @DuncanL,

The Power Move team reviewed the data and encountered a communication issue that caused some people's emails not to display the data from August 17th, even though they had opted in to receive it. We have checked the system, and I can confirm that this data has been included in the crediting; only the email notifications were affected.

We can't go back and reissue the email with the up-to-date information, but we can confirm for you specifically that you earned £0.15p for that event.

Now that you've highlighted the issue, the teams have taken the steps needed to mitigate it, and it shouldn't happen again. Apologies for any inconvenience caused and thanks for highlighting it to us.

I got the results for the week ending 17th August but interestingly noted nothing was showing for this date only 16th and before. It may be of course I did not opt in or earn anything from this power move event.

@DavidWSR

if you hadn’t been unsuccessful or hadn’t opted in your results would say so.

@ShiftingSaver

Doesn’t look as if anyone from OVO is going to answer.

Hiya!

This has been sent to the Power Move team. The lack of response so far is primarily because this thread was created out-of-hours so there weren’t any Forum Moderators around.

Please wait for an update.

Response from the Power Move team:

The summary for the 17th August should have gone out on the 20th. Please can you check if you definitely did/didn’t receive it?

I definitely received a results summary on the 20th August that said it for the period 11th-17th but on the table of results the 17th was missing.

Hey @ShiftingSaver

Thanks for sharing that screenshot. I’ve popped this over to the team to take a look at, myself or one of the other moderators will pop back here as soon as they come back to us with more on this.

My results were similar to @ShiftingSaver .  The results were said to be for the week 11 to 17 August but contained no result for the PMF event on the 17th.

Just to be contrary, my 20 August results email covered five events, the last of which was a Power Up session on 17 August:

@Firedog

Out of curiosity - was your event also for 3pm to 4pm ?  If not, it might be the specific event that is the problem.

Yep:

That puts an end to that theory but here’s another one.

Since the PMF summer trial began, I have never been invited to take part in a PMF event on any day on which I have had Beyond Reward Free Hours - with the exception of 17 August.  Perhaps some like myself and @ShiftingSaver were invited to take part in that event in error.

I am sure @Firedog will now knock that theory on the head by saying that he also had Free Hours and a PMF on 17th and his results are OK !!

@DuncanL you might be on the something there. I did have my Ovo Beyond free hours that day because i spent a while working out what jobs to do in which time slot earlier that morning to maximise my rewards. I thought it was unusual because

1. It was on a sunday, when I'd never had one on a sunday before.

2. I had my free Beyond hours too the same day and never had a double event before either.

But I opted in as per usual, so I should still be entitled to my reward.

@ShiftingSaver , I definitely opted in on the 17th but whether I successfully shifted any usage, I can’t say.  But even if I didn’t, I should have got a note of my result.

Hey all,

The team are going to look into this this week, I’m sorry for the issues you’re having & will report back as soon as I’ve heard from then.

Thank you for your patience.

I have just received monthly results for August and the total credit earned and percentage of successful events must include data from 17 August.

I've kept all my weekly round up emails and totted them up and adding in 1st-2nd August as well and it totals the same as my monthly round up. So 17th is still missing from my total.

@ShiftingSaver

I have checked again and monthly results definitely only balance with weekly results if I earned the princely sum of 15p on the 17th August.  Same goes for success percentage, it only tallys if I had a successful shift on 17th.  Going by weekly results, I was successful 15 out of 20 events = 75%.  Monthly summary says 76%.  If I include an event on 17th, it becomes 16 out of 21=76%.

Instead of being cleared up, it only seems to be getting odder.

Hey @ShiftingSaver & @DuncanL,

I asked the team again this morning for an update. They confirmed that the data was included in your weekly update on the 20th, so it should be available to you.

If what you're seeing is different from that, please let me know, and I can ask them to investigate further.

@Chris_OVO

The results for 17 August was definitely not included in the 20th August weekly update.  If, after looking into this for a week, there only response is to simply disbelieve people then I don’t see the point in their investigating further.

@Chris_OVO

Hi, as in the photo I included in an above post to data was definitely missing in the table for the 20th weekly email. However after reading your post I have checked the email and tallied up the amounts against the total and you are correct an additional amount is included in the total for that week. I don't know why I've never double checked the figures add up before.

Thanks for looking in to it for me and providing some clarity.

@Chris_OVO

As you can see from my post yesterday, I had already worked out the15p.  The point I was making was that 17 August did not appear on the weekly results table and nobody seemed to know why.  As the PMF team have now said there was a communisation error which has been fixed, that is hopefully end of story.

Hey @ShiftingSaver,

I should’ve also tagged you so that you got the update as well! I’m glad it all tallies up for you and we’ve now fixed the issue so it won’t happen again. We really appreciate the feedback 😃
