Hi Folks, I was reading the very helpful posts onEcodan FTC- Had a nightmare trying to balance the house temperature?as as i was getting to the end, I was sure I was going to get the answer I need but i didn't. I have a very similar issue to the OP, except my FTC is indoor so its saying the heat is currently much higher than the room stats which are Danfoss. I have UFH downstairs and Rads upstairs, so on 2 Zones. The compensation curve is giving enough heat downstairs but not upstairs, especially at night for the little ones, so I want to swap control the heat by the room stats. I have 2 stats down stairs and one upstairs. I don't have a wireless controller, but surely my system can run off the Danfoss stats? any help would be great. 

I’ve had Charge Anytime for a couple of months with my Audi Q4, and it was working fine. Recently it’s not been working well and missing charges and therefore no credit with the Charge Anytime App. I decide I’d remove the car from the app and try adding it again to see if that would improve things. However…….now I can’t even add my car to the app. I just get a message saying “the vendor is currently experiencing issues on their side, please try again later”. I’ve had this for over 24 hours now. The only reason I switched to OVO rather than Octopus, was for Charge Anytime. But, if I can’t add my car and get the good rate, what is the point!? Whilst I appreciate this may not be OVO/Kazula’s fault, they are still saying Charge Anytime can be used with an Audi Q4.  Anyone else having similar problems?

How do I get a 100 amp breaker switch  fitted to my supply to assist with the connection  of my solar / battery system?

Smart meter failed.  No display. Will not wake up, no warnings (Audiable) or on the smart meter in-house display  Spoke to Cadet they said the meter faulty.   Why do smart meters fail closed?  The fail appeared on Saturday afternoon, Central heating boiler detected no gas ignition.  Cadet said OVO are responsible for the meter and require it to be replaced.  Just seems mad to fail closed.  No heating/hot water for nearly 2 days.I assume as the fault is with the OVO there will be a compensation owed for inconvenience. Meter approx 10 years old.

We live in a new build home and have a 11.2 kw ecodan air source heat pump . Radiators warming up in zone 1 ( downstairs)  but not in zone 2 upstairs . All radiators have been bled . See pic . Zone 2 shows as on , can hear it working but no Heat to radiators ( can see difference between actual and target temp ) . This has only happened very recently after installers were here as some of the radiators in upstaters were not heating . They fixed saying that not all were ‘fully open’ . We had heat in all for a few days then it stopped . Can someone advise or guid please ? Mitsubishi have suggested it could be a valve issue that slits the flow between zone1 and 2 .  

Hello everyone. I just joined OVO. I want to add OVO Charge Anytime, as I have a Tesla and I charge it at home. I downloaded the app but I cannot log in using the OVO credentials (either account number or email address + password I use for the account). Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?Thanks for your help!

My IHD6 unit no longer functions. So far as I can tell it is physically undamaged. It is plugged in, with a full battery, and visually appears to be trying to work, but it resets/reboots every 1 minute 14 seconds, in a continual cycle. This started suddenly sometime in mid December 2023, perhaps 15th or thereabouts. Has anybody else had this problem? On the second email attempt, I got a response from OVO by email and the lady has said to me “what I did was request that your IHD's firmware be refreshed, which can hopefully get your IHD fully smart and operational. The firmware update should fix your IHD's display in the next 48 hours, in the meantime, please put the device as close to your electricity meter as possible. After 48 hours, can you please switch off your IHD and turn it back on again?”I have done this and I wait and see, but I am sceptical it will work because the IHD6 is not on long enough between resets for the connectio

Charge Anytime IssueMy electric car has a “pre conditioning” setting at first I thought this was just cabin temperature but I have later discovered that if the vehicle is plugged in it also pre conditions the battery which is a very good thing now the nights are so much colder. Using ChargeAnytime connected to the vehicle it see this “pre conditioning” as charging and prevents it as it is not a cheap time. Suggested ResolutionsRead the pre conditioning times from the car via API and allow the use of electricity during the period (even if at full rate) and/or have a button in the app to enable/disable this feature.This maybe too time consuming/resource intensive to configure the api for each manufacturer. Enable a feature in the app to allow for manual “always on” schedule, meaning during this period the car will charge if not up to configure charge

HiI have a MG5 EV and was hoping to use Charge Anytime.  The Charge Anytime works with my Pod Point and Audi A3 etron. Does anyone have news of when MG might be included. Many thanksDave

Hi - Currently have a Enyaq which works well on anytime. I’m looking to change to Peugeot e-3008 or e-5008 next year. Does anyone know if Peugeot are going to be added to charge anytime list of compatible cars? (My charger is non compatible). Thanks

There are green and one red light flashing on my smart meter  my IHD is not working is this the cause

We are changing our car and therefore will be removing our Ovo V2G charger. Who do we contact at Ova (I’ve not had a response from the smarthome email address) and do we have to give notice before removing? Do you know do you know if the original Ovo installer submitted a G99 application to the Distribution Network Operator (DNO) prior to installation?

Switched to an E7 Smart meter in mid-August (electric only, no gas), readings started being recorded almost immediately, no upto 6 week wait for me I thought however billing ignored them!I assumed this was  because final readings from the previous meter had not been posted for some reason.Eventually after a few contacts with Customer Support and raising a complaint, I got this fixed in mid-October (8+ weeks after install) in under 2 hours when the right person got on the case, so I was happy.Relaxed too soon as within a few days my meter went dark - all the correct lights were on, blinking at the correct rate and the home monitor was working fine but readings were not reaching the OVO billing systems.Found the link on the Forum to the OVO web page to report this issue, filled in the details and got a response that I would be contacted in upto 45 days !Meanwhile started giving manual readings so as not to get any crazy estimates on usage.D

We are getting an EV charger via Motability and have been advised by OHME that we need an isolation switch fitted. Having looked at similar post on this forum regarding the charges for this, does anyone know if this charge would be covered by Motability or is there a different route to getting this installed due to being through Motability.

Does anyone know if a BMW iX1 M Sport 30 is compatible with Charging Anytime? The website says iX1 30 is compatible so to me sounds like it is, but when I called up OVO to check they could not give me any clarification, because as a model, there is no iX1 30, only variants like xLine 30 or Sport 30 or M Sport 30. The charger I am getting is not compatible so I need to be sure my car will be.

I had a SMETS2 meter installed a couple of years ago. It worked fine for well over a year and then suddenly stopped working at the start of the year. Trying to arrange a replacement has been an absolute nightmare with failed appointments, etc but an engineer finally turned up today. I’m in a block of six flats with a meter cupboard for all the different properties in the entrance lobby. Adjacent to that is a cupboard, presumably where the mains supply enters the building and also contains all the mains fuses for each property. Unfortunately the fuses aren’t labelled and so he was unable to disconnect my supply to install the replacement meter. I fully understand why he can’t just turn the supply off to every property. He did advise that there was a piece of kit which can establish which incoming supply / fuse leads to which meter but that he didn’t carry one with him. He advised me that it was my responsibility to establish which fuse belongs to my property so that someone can come

I have THTC two meters one for normal and one for THTC . All the timing functions of the THTC meter are operating correctly but the meter is not clocking up the usage . Contacted OVO customer services a few times basically Smart meter THTC not available till first Quarter 2024 and SMS highland Div unable to carry out repairs or replace the meter at present. You views would be appreciated thanks. 

My car has not charged at home since overnight last 3 days, anytime charge has worked fine for months and I just charge overnight. I have not done anything other than plug it in as normal the previous evening, expecting it to be charged by 07.30 next morning and it’s not charged.  It shows on main dashboard on Ovo charge anytime phone app ‘car unplugged, plug in at home to smart charge’ but it is plugged in, It also does not allow me to charge immediately and when i try it just says pause. many one have similar issues?  Thanks in advance .   

Recent installation of ecodan system and struggling to set up timed temperature changes for heating.Schedule for heating has been set at 16 overnight, 18 from 5.30 am and down to 16 again at 8pm.Schedule timer set as on for the whole 24 hours.Tried this two mornings so far and on neither morning has heating turned up to 18 at 5.30 am. I think I've tried both the timer symbol from f4 heating house symbol and the on symbol.  I would be very grateful if someone could tell me exactly what symbols should be showing on the screen for the heating button at bedtime, so I can wake up to heat. There are a few pieces of feedback elsewhere from battery users (Merged into this thread)One thing to bear in mind is that you never have enough battery storage so whatever you think you need , double it!We have had battery storage now for 2 years and it has helped our solar PV efficiency tremendously. One thing to think about is the maximum kw draw on your system. This is usually when multiple things get switched on together. In our case it would be an electric shower, kitchen appliances (oven, air fryer etc) and other general equipment such as hair dryers, washing machines and tumble dryers. Even with solar active (less so in the winter), the capacity of your inverter to supply the whole household power is significant so it is useful to understand and plan for a system expansion. We have already doubled our battery capacity and are planning to increase this again very soon. I am puzzled that my smart meter sometimes shows power being exported to the grid after dark.Can anyone explain please?

Good afternoon,My first post/question.  I have aded solar panels and battery storage unit.  Does anyone experience other solar panel users that grid power is used, not much but say overnight with full battery I use 50watts. Not much but want to know other opinions.  Thanks. Jonathan

has anyone found a solution to the ‘long standing problem’ of getting their ecodan to re-connct to the internet through wi-fi, using the WPS button on a BT Router? also; has anyone modified their ecodan controler, by adding an ethernet connection?

We have unresolved smart meter issues (another story).  Recently we have been reporting gas and electricity meter readings to OVO by telephone.  Today (1st September) I checked the electricity meter (an EDMI ES-10A) to find that the reading was unchanged from the one I reported on the 31st July  and instead of “IMPRT” above the number on the meter screen there was just a capital A.   I don’t know what is going on, could someone please enlighten me?
