CCJ by OVO- But who do I pay?

Hi, need help! I was taken to court by OVO without my knowledge as I had moved to a new address. I saw my credit report and realised I now have CCJ. I’m attempting to pay the balance in full to get it removed from my credit file, however I have no details of who to pay to, the account to pay into etc. I called OVO customer services but they weren’t able to help, and were giving me different amounts. I want to pay the ccj debt but don’t know who their legal team is. The ccj was filed on the 23rd of August, which means I have to pay by 23rd September to get it removed without waiting 6 years. Does anyone have the details of their legal team, who I can contact and confirm the judgment with? Thank you

Hi @asdff,

I’m sorry to hear this.

Have you managed to get in touch with the team to get this sorted?

I called the court this morning and was given the solicitor’s information. I called them up to pay and in the process I asked them to confirm my name will be taken off the ccj register, but the lady said she doesn’t know because i was given 28 days as stated in the letter. I told her I did not receive any letter hence why I didn’t respond to the letter before claim in the first place. I’m still on hold to speak to the court now to see if today will count being within a month, although outside of their 28 days policy. I’m so stressed right now.

Hi @asdff,

I’m really sorry to hear about all this. I hope you’re able to get this resolved asap.

It may be also worth giving our Collections team a call on 0800 069 9831 as advised above. They should hopefully be able to advise further.

I am in a similar position.  Ccj .no paperwork. Now a writ without my knowledge.  Customer services tell you to contact solicitors whim leave you on hold and do not respond . Or return emails for help ?
