How can I find out which public chargers are compatible with Ovo's charging card? I can use Zapmap to find chargers but might not get the saving by using the card.I want to find a compatible chademo charger near Gatwick airport and there's currently no way of doing so.

Hi i have just had a volvo ex30 , is this car compatible with ovo's charge anytime? 

I’m hoping somebody can help me as I feel like I’ve tried everything! I recently moved into a house with a Mitsubishi Ecodan Heatpump and heatmiser neostat thermostats. Downstairs there is underfloor heating which is working perfectly with the thermostats. However, there are radiators upstairs which are also supposed to be controlled by a single neostat, but this seems to have lost connection to the Ecodan. Does anybody know how I go about re-pairing the neostat to the ecodan so that it can control the radiators? It looks like there is 2 zones on the ecodan system - one for upstairs and one for downstairs. Any help would be very much appreciated!

I recently switched to a cheaper nighttime tariff and want to set my hot water to come on mainly during the night, with a short boost in the early evening. I've set the DHW schedule for the right times but for some reason it still comes on outside of the schedule before the maximum temp drop should kick in. The tank temp is set to 50° with a reheat drop of 15° and this morning is was heating when the tank temp was at 44°. It also wasn't anything to do with the legionaries setting as this had only been run a few days ago.I have the MELCloud app setup with a schedule for the heating and have tried switching this off to only rely on the control unit schedule and this doesn't seem to help either.I've attached a screen shot of my last 24hrs temp history which shows yesterday evenings temp boost and since then it hasn't dropped below the 35° that should start the reheat cycle, so as far as I can tell it shouldn't have been coming on this morning.Does anyone know why t

In recent weeks there has been an issue with charging my car. The car gets stuck in a state of initializing. At the moment I plug it in and it's charging up to 25% but then for some reason it's not coming back on later. There are no other settings either on my SyncEV charging unit or in the Porsche that should be impacting this. And I have made no changes from when it was previously working. Given that is getting to 25% I am definitely thinking this as an issue with the OVO charge anytime process. I think the Indra integration is setting the future departure time in the Porsche app (currently scheduled for Wed 15th Oct, today is Saturday 11th October), which I am told is standard.  However the car now doesnt charge fully either during the day or overnight. 

Hi!I have just bought a new electric Mercedes CLA and on Wednesday OVO are scheduled to install a smart meter. I was planning to get an Ohme Pro charger installed, but I now see that there are problems with OVO and Ohme Pro not talking to each other properly.  What should I do?John

Recently seen my monthly debit of £400 for winter so I’m purchasing the All in one r4000 power station and adding 400w solar panels to power my home during the 350w usage without heating . also purchasing the Eco flex wave 3 - heating and air conditioning unit which is portable and run time is 8 hrsthinking 1.2kw of solar charging qty of 2 power stations and qty of 2 eco flex wave 3 . For a semi detached 3 bed house . Total cost £4,500 will just have to install the panels myself and with some creative planning rewire to run appliances off grid . total output 8kw max with split appliances either lights tv fridge computer and washing machine . 2nd heating kettle and microwave . See how the output goes per hr we have a energy meter so will be happy when that drops to zero . Had to change a socket the other day in the kitchen so switched off the mains supply and yep 4watts nearly zero just house lights . Will just add

Hi,I have looked at this these threads in the past and always found them detailed and informative - but this is the first time i have put my head above the parapet to ask a question, so apologies in advance if this has been well covered previously. *I live in south of the UK in a rural location and my property has a split (2) phase electricity supply rated at 200A per phase and is currently metered by a Elster A1140 CT meter.  The meter is modern but operates in single tariff “dumb” mode so requires periodic manual meter readings to be taken.I am keen to access a wider range of modern electricity tariffs but getting a meter that can facilitate this seems a bit of a challenge.  I have been told that SMETS2 meters (even polyphase ones) seem to only go to 100A per phase so they aren’t an option.  Most Domestic Electricty supply companies I discuss this with are unable to offer any other options.  Some Business Electricity Suppliers have indicat

Hi AllI’m new to both EV’s and the OVO Forum so please be kind to this old bloke!So, an EV wasn't on my radar until some great deals recently hit the market and I reckon I’ll take the plunge.  My electricity supply deal with OVO has recently come to an end and I now need to think about a new deal.  I have had a survey done by a local EV Charger installer who has fitted lots in the area and has good reviews.  I have estimates for a Hypervolt Home 3 Pro 7.4kW and a Zappi 7kW.  I am happy with the installer and prices but I don’t want to make any mistakes.I can get the charger installed before the car arrives as the car is a factory order.I suppose what I am asking;  is there anything I need to consider before I sign up to a new OVO Energy deal?  If I sign up to a new deal now are there any issues I need to think about when my new vehicle arrives or is it just ‘plug and play’.  Also does anyone have any experience with the chargers I have mentioned or

Some Information!  Little did I know that when we had a smart meter fitted (not WAN but HAN 4G we live on Isle of Skye no WAN SIGNAL) that the "in home display" could do so much! After storm Amey we lost power for 15 hours , when restored the smart meter had lost the link and we were asked for a manual reading which we got through the IHD. Whilst going through the menu we came upon the message's part , in it was a message to initialise the smart meter . I did this and within moments it was all working again !  None of this was explained to us , just that there was a menu on the IHD . Now we find that this will be the case every time we have a power loss and restart . Also the book left with the IHD only show what the buttons are and gives no information on the menu or programs!  I think this needs to be addressed! Luckily we are fairly computer literate and in truth the menu is good , but we struggled for a while.

Ovo have informed me that my gas meter needs replacing and that they can only replace it with a smart meter, they have also stated that it will be necessary to change the electric meter at the same time.I am extremely reluctant to have a smart meter, my main concerns being their accuracy and the ability of the energy company to charge higher prices at peak usage.  My fixed tariff is coming to an end soon and I feel that Ovo will use it as a condition of renewing with them. It seems I have very little choice.Also how do they know that my existing meter needs replacing?  

Im building a new house and need to purchase a ASHP, looking mainly at Vailant because of the OVO 15p per KW offer they have for their customers (which I'm one of) In order to receive this offer, do I need to buy the Vailant heat pump from OVO or can I get it from a certified MCS installer and still claim the new tariff? I will also be purchasing the Gateway add-on, is this the only requirements? If not, then maybe I will look at other ASHP rather than just the Vailant range Any help appreciated!

How do I read rate 1 & 2 on my E470 series 3 smet s2 electric meter as I can only find rate 1

I had a smart meter installed 2 weeks ago and since then my storage heaters and immersion element to heat up the water in a big cylinder tank are not working anymore. Both only run on off peak electricity. I have raised this with OVO, an emergency engineer, a commissioned engineer, came but couldn’t solve the problem. Since then I’m daily on the phone with OVO but nobody is able to help. I’ve raised a complaint, got a call from OVO and was told that my case is being looked into and I would get a call back. Nobody was ringing back. It’s very stressful to call daily, explain the same problem each time and not getting anywhere. I was even told by one operator that it’s my problem and not OVO’s.. It’s absolutely outrageous that an organisation like OVO is not able to rectify the problem. I wonder if someone had similar experience and can give advise how to handle the matter. Thank you

I had my electric meter replaced with a smart one today, and the IHD that was given is not the IHD 6 but the older IHD 3. Not only that, it appears to be an inferior version of the IHD 3 with no rechargeable batteries (IHD3-PPMID-AAA). This specific model was not listed on the OVO website. There is a battery compartment for a single AAA battery, however there is an issue where if you unplug it from the wall, and let the device switch to battery power, the buttons become unresponsive and they remain unresponsive when you plug it back in. To get the buttons working again you have to reboot it by unplugging it and taking out the battery. So I decided not to use the battery compartment. Are IHD 3 models still being handed out despite the IHD 6 being the newest model? And why are they handing out this inferior model?

Looking to see if anyone has converted their Indra smart pro from WiFi to Ethernet Mine is on WiFi but it’s not reliable so want to move it to Ethernet getting hold of Indra is difficult and all I have had so far is one response saying any loc electrician can do the work  but I am sure you would need to go into the settings on the installer app to tell the charger to use Ethernet instead of WiFi  so can anyone confirm if this can be done without being a registered Indra installer ? 

Does anyone have any information re economy 10 tariff that was supposed to be available before the end of this year?

Hi,I’ve been advised that I can join this trial.Problem is, this is my first winter using a heat pump so I have no comparable data to see if using this App/Company would make any difference to my costs.Also, I’m not sure I would be comfortable with a very fledging company (2024) taking over control of my heating/water system.With regard to hot water, it seems to function in reverse to what I use at the moment, i.e. my hot water is set to come on at 1pm, their system has the hot water ready at 1pm.  I’m not sure how they know when to start heating the water in order to have it ready by a certain time.Any comments?CBJ 

Hi. I am a bit concerned that, even though I have a smart meter, someone from Morrisons called to read my meter. I thought having a smart meter obviated having someone call to the house. Fortunately my daughter was at my house at the time as, if I had been on my own, it would have made me very uncomfortable.

I had a smart meter installed. Chose economy 7 tariff as have storage heaters and water heated by thermostat on off peak. Since meter installed off peak does not work. Ovo sent an engineer who changed the meter. Still no off peak. Ovo then said they’d fix the problem remotely. They said it was successful but still no off peak. Now they are saying it must be to do with my wiring or configuration and they can’t do anything more. Now what am I supposed to do? No heating or hot water since July 28th.
