Please can someone tell me what the new Export Tariff is from 1st April 2026. My advice email tells me the new FIT tariff but not the the new Export Tariff. What is the RPI increase date that OVO use? Any help please.

My son had a similar question as he recently moved to a house with solar panels, and is with OVO. We asked ChatGPT and got the following answer:

From 1 April 2026, OVO's Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) tariffs are:

Tariff Export rate Who qualifies
Standard SEG 4p/kWh Anyone with an eligible renewable installation and smart meter, regardless of electricity supplier.
SEG Beyond Exclusive
12p/kWh
Customers who import their electricity from OVO (with an eligible installation up to 30 kWp).
SEG Install Exclusive
20p/kWh
Customers who purchased their solar and battery system through OVO (or 15p/kWh if OVO installed only the solar system).

If you're asking because you're already an OVO customer with existing solar panels (rather than buying a new OVO-installed system), the rate you'll most likely be eligible for is:

  • 4p/kWh if you don't import electricity from OVO.
  • 12p/kWh if you do import your electricity from OVO under the Beyond Exclusive eligibility.

Thank you. My old Export Tariff was 7.39p so there must be something wrong here. Does anyone know the RPI increase that was applied on 1st April and the date that this figure relates to. Any help please.

Hey @Judesman,

I can confirm the information shared from @HangNail999 above is accurate and can be found at the following link smart export guarantee. If you’ve been on a feed in tariff then your rates would look different and you’ll find more information on the OFGEM website : Feed-in Tariff (FIT): Tariff Table 1 April 2026

I hope this helps!

Thank you. None of this makes any sense at all as I am already receiving 7.39p. The OFGEM website does not help so I will email OVO.
