HiI am using the ovo charge anytime app to charge my EV. However, the past few nights the app is starting the charge well before the schedule time. Currently my car is around 60% and I have scheduled it to be fully charged for 7am tomorrow and the app is starting the charge at 8pm. This is unusual as it doesn't take that long to charge 40%. It usually schedules it around 11pm. Is there an issue with the app/schedule?

Good Morning, I’ve recently added Charge Anytime to our account, however as our charger (Zappi v2) isn’t compatible, I’ve gone down the route of linking the Charge Anytime app directly with the car itself (BMW i4), which is where the problems have started. So to provide context, before we added Charge Anytime, I was using the My BMW app to control the charging, preconditioning and vehicle preferences. In my case I had a schedule set up, so the car would precondition the batteries and warm the cabin prior to departure, however since the Ovo app ‘took over’, the preconditioning functionality has gone haywire. It appears that the schedule I had in place (Mon-Fri 7am departure), keeps being replaced with bizarre times of the day and night (I had a random 3am departure scheduled the other night) and no matter how many times I go back to reset, it keeps happening. Somehow the Ovo app is clashing with the manufacturers app and essenti

Hi all. First post on here and I need some help if possible please?I’ve moved into an ‘A’ energy rating flat which comes with solar panels and a heat pump installed. I was told that bills are very low. The heat pump is by ModulAir.However, and especially in the last couple of weeks, some days have seen sky high prices.I live on my own and I don’t really use an excessive amount of electricity...I think anyway. TV is maybe on for 2 hours a day. I take one, 5 minute shower per day. I don’t use the dishwasher and will use the washing machine, on a one hour cycle, at most two times a week. I have two Amazon Alexas in the flat too. No EV charging either.When I first moved in the daily price was roughly £2.50 for the electricity. I went away for work for two weeks and turned everything off in the flat. But I was still charged about £2.50 a day. When I got back and started to turn things on my daily charge went up to about £5.50...and I had nothing different in t

I have noticed that over night the flow temp drops a lot and our upstairs temps fall quickly.Downstairs is very nice and warm.Could anyone help explain what might be happening here?My curve is 45@0 and 20@20. As you can see in the graph the flow temp was at its coldest when the temp outside was coldest. Graph is a 24 hour period. 

I live in a property with an economy 10 meter. We have tried to have a smart meter installed previously by OVO but it would not connect to the network due to our location.Are there any suggestions on how we could deal with this when the inevitable time to buy an electric car arrives?

Hi, we recently reported a noisy gas meter that was making a throb. OVO were fantastic and agreed that although not dangerous it would be very annoying and sent an engineer to fit a new one along with a new smart meter. For a few days we had blissful silence.... but then yesterday the throbbing returned. it is now even more regular (albeit not quite as noisy) and driving me insane! we have had work done and it is now secured to a stud wall and I’m wondering if this is not helping?! Please tell me this isn’t a normal sound on a meter and that something can be done.... I can’t tune out from the throb throb throbbing....... 😩 Thanks

After OVO installed a smart meter it kept tripping. I reported this and was informed to re set the trip. This has gone in now for a year, I turn off all electrical appliances at night and it still trips. Surely this is not right?

Can I share my power supply with another house and charge them for the power ? 

Hi everyone, hope your all well!  Just looking for a bit of advise if I may.  we have recently had an Ecodan ASHP installed, worked great for a few days but then noticed it kept giving L9 error every night from 10–11pm. The only think to happen at them times is that the UFH goes off at 10pm but I’m guessing by the time the actuators close etc it’s probably why it happens at random times.I have changed the UFH to go off at 11:00pm and now L9 happens 11:30ish. Once reset the ASHP is reset the system works lovely, but what’s weird is if I turn the stats down during the day everything works fine. Only seems to happen on a night!!  Our installer said Mitsubishi have said it’s a dodgy 2 port valve, which is maybe but he can’t get back for a little while as he’s away at the moment. But if I can get some help it means I pay and get someone else in to fix it but don’t want to throw money at the problem without knowing. thank y

I have just joined OVO anytime as I recently bought a hybrid car. The battery capacity is 25.9 kw but I noticed the savings on the app were being reflected to around 18kw and on days I charged the car the daily energy usage costs were significantly higher than days I did not charge.I called OVO and they had the wrong capacity stored on the system at 17.9kw. I supplied confirmation that my model had a 25.9kw gross battery capacity and 21.9kw net usable battery - they said the latter was the figure they should be using for calculating the discounted tariff.This is incorrect as the previous battery on older models of my car was 17.9kw gross and 14.1kw net usable. Maybe worth checking that OVO have the correct capacity stored for your vehicle so you are also not being over charged.Not a great first impression of this company and still awaiting them to sort out the issue 

Hi, I am a landlord trying my best to resolve an issue with a storage heater not working. I've had two electricians out and they both say that everything is fine back to the meter. And two meter engineers told me everything is fine at they're end too. During a call to ovo whilst I was there, the tenant told the phone agent that he isn't on an economy 7 tariff...could this have been the problem all along? Will it simply not turn on without an economy tariff??? It was working whilst I was doing the flat up, and at that time I had an economy 7 tariff. At the moment I the electrician has wired it up to the normal rate and it's working fine. Now he wants me to pay his extortionate electric bill...it's a bit of a headache. Please help.

I have a hypervolt charger fitted, and connected to OVO anytime app , but I am unclear how to use the app for charging. Are there any clear instructions I can access for charging my car?

HiThe app says my mercedes a250e is charging away from home on Monday-Wednesday and smart on Thursday-Sunday when the car is parked in the same place every time on the drive.It was OK at the start in November with an occasional away charge but now for the last 2 weeks it's been days on and days off.Any ideas 

Hi,Since moving to OVO from EDF on Jan 5th, the Geo Trio II IHD supplied by EDF will not connect to the SMETS2 smart meter also supplied by EDF.Even after resetting, it just sits there and say trying to connect. There appears to be a strong 5 bar WiFi signal and the IHD is less than 2 metres from the smart meter with no obstructions in between.When I look at the IHD the screen says      Meter Network Not Connected             Status 22-0      Not connected to meter network. If the problem persists, please contact your supplier.I have contacted OVO support and answered their initial questions but they also suggest seeking help here on the forum.Any ideas ?thanks and regards, Kevin  

Hi - we had a smart meter installed at our property in the north of the isle of mull last summer but the engineer was not able to pick up a suitable signal despite all the pre-tests showing that this was an area which did have sufficient signal.Our meter is in an outhouse held within a closed metal box and I wonder if this is likely to be shielding the signal.  If this is the case then is it possible for an engineer to fit an aerial to the meter and connect into the installed but inoperative meter.If this is the case what is the process to get this done - will OVO do this It has proved very difficult getting an engineer to come given the island location.ThanksCharles

I know I’m not the only person with incandescent light bulbs that are now collecting dust in a cupboard. My lights are now all using LED bulbs but I can’t bring myself to throw the old type ones away. What do other people do?

I had solar panels installed by Ovo in August 2024. The Shinephone app was installed on my new Samsung phone. It works but is slow to load and often needs two attempts to get it to work. With over 1m downloads, it is only rated at 2.6. I strongly suspect that it shows a figure for the power generated that is too low.Is there another app that can read the data and, ideally, the data from the smart meter as well in real time? 

The app was working fine for a few months, but today I received a notification that the car was not connected to the app and needed to be reconnected. I tried to reconnect, but I am not receiving an email from Mercedes with the verification code. I have not encountered this issue before. I have checked my Mercedes me login, email, and junk folder. Do you have any other suggestions?

I have just changed my Porsche Taycan 4SCT MY2023 for a new Taycan MY2025I have deleted the old car and added the new one. Charge Anytime is connected to My Porsche Account and the App can see the car and the SoC but gets stuck finishing the connection. On the Dashboard screen it says connecting to your Porsche with a wiring circle. The Last update time refreshes and has a green dot.I have charged the car but I get no credit.Is there an issue connecting to Gen 2 model year 2025 Taycans? 

Hello! We have recently installed a 12kw Zubadan air heat pump in nov2024. I am not happy with the usage as we used thermostats and it consumed too much - but this is another topic. The issue now is that in january the consumed hot water energy is bigger than the delivered hot water energy: consumed DHW - 186 delivered DHW - 141. How is this possible? I don’t know how the settings are done for hot water, but this not seems physically possible. We have the model with the 200l hydrotank inside.

Hi, 5 days ago my IHD began showing lost connection. It had been working perfectly since install in September. I’ve read on this forum that it could be to do with no mobile reception but we have that and can tell by the WAN red light flashing frequently on the elec meter. (Plus it worked perfectly before). Does the IHD need repairing with the smart meter? Thanks Will

Hi guys,I was wondering if anyone could shed light with my issue. It just started today and only had it installed June 8th. As I was plugging my car to charge instead of your usual indicator, it started flashing purple indicator 5 times. As well as in the web app it is not recognising the device.Please help.  

Hi All,Had a look through the forum and couldn't quite see a thtc query that covered my questions.Obviously I need to move to a smart meter but an OVO engineer came out but then said they couldn't change the meter because I had a thtc setup (even though this was why OVO sent him) he said he'd let them know and they'll be in touch to sort. I haven't had anything other than another email saying they'll be in the area and I need to book an appointment to change the meter.I haven't had any other info on what the plan is but surmise itll be E7 or E10, I even had to go to the ombudsman last year and ended up with a significant amount of compensation and confirmation they couldn't make the change as they had no way to decommision the second mpan and I'd still be charged or my system may not work (maybe this has changed now but that was less than 6 months ago).Anyway, my main question is about hot water as I no longer have the bigger storage heaters, I do

I notice the App has stopped updating my daily usage.  Does this mean that my smart meter has stopped sending data to OVO ?  IHD still works OK

I have done some reading on here and followed advice from other posters but I wanted to check to see if I have things setup right. Goals Be economical, not wasteful Keep temperature in the house at 22-23 degrees C Have hot water in the morning for showers and in the evening for bath for children Heating Setup I have it set to Compensation Curve, at 14 degrees external or below the temp is at 46 degrees for the rads (at least that’s how I understand it works) Thermostats are Heatmister Slimline, they are set at 23 degrees to knock off the rads if it gets too warm This setting is 24/7, I read that its better to keep the house at the same temp all the time. Plus we work from home all the time so don’t want it cooling during the day. Hot Water Setup I had it to warm the 200L tank up to 50 degrees between 2am and 4am, and to come on once the temp dropped 10 degrees b
