Can anyone explain why when I get emails to pick a two hour slot to receive a little help with my heating and I book slot get reminders yet when I receive my bill there is zero discount applied to my bill 

I will like to change my gas to ovo energe please can you help me  to doit please

When we have high demand in our house (like switching on a shower), the lights go dimmer. Recently our car charger has frequently stopped working saying there is a supply problem. I’ve just discovered that we can see the voltage on our smart meter, and it goes down as low as 190V.  The highest reading I’ve seen, with virtually nothing on, was 220V. We are in a very rural area. We have storage heating and when the meter was installed we were told it was a 3 phase supply. Does anyone know what’s going on? 

Hi, as the title suggests.I just moved to this one bed flat by myself.I actually lived in this flat for a total of 7 days in December, before leaving abroad for work and came back today (3 weeks later). I was checking the usage via the app and for the first few days after I left it was normal and as expected by an unoccupied flat. But then usage started going crazy, to the point that some days usage was more than when I was actually in the flat.Before leaving the flat I checked and everything was unplugged. Also the electric heating was off.The flat is supposed to be EPC C if that makes any difference.Any ideas what might have happened?thanks.

Can I change from Economy 10 to Economy 7 online?

So on the 9th May 6am nothing changed to our daily lives but my electricity usage increased by 12 times. It went from a constant 0.03kwh to 0.4kwh, nothing has changed and we are now spending a huge amount on electricity for no change of actual usage. Please can someone help asap as this is rinsing my money each day!

Hi,I have just moved into a newbuild apartment where the utilities have been handed over from the developer. The current meter reading is 03552 (shown by the photo), slightly above the confirmed reading I received off the developer on completion.I registered with OVO Energy this week and found out from them that my meter is apparently a smart meter. However, upon checking the readings it has sent to OVO (photo also attached)  they appear to be completely different and far lower than the reading I see on the meter.Is it possible this is fine and it sends different readings from the display I see when reporting as a smart meter, or is there something potentially wrong with my electric meter/out of sync and I need to call ASAP.

Since updating the charge time app my devices have been wiped off my account. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app. Logging out and back in but it lets me connect the car however it doesn't show as a device in my account settings and when I try and add the charger it gives error something has gone wrong please try laterthis has been happening for two days now. I have a monthly plan with 1000 units paid for on my account however as the car is not registering I am being charged at full price the two charges I have done this month have cost £40 so far, I have raised a ticket through the ovo service yesterday but not had anything back as yet.has anyone experienced this ? 

Hi there,I am an OVO customer and got very excited when Charge Anytime was launched.However, I’ve just discovered my Polestar 2 isn’t compatible. Quite staggering.How is this possible when the Volvo XC40 and XC60 are?Am I missing something?Thanks. 

The title pretty much says it all. I looked up the website on the Pipit documentation - www.securetogether.com - and they don't seem to exist any more. Do OVO have spare Pipits?

Looks like I have issues with my smart meter, it’s not sending data to Ovo.I have a smart meter health check booked for the end of the week,but in the meantime, what are the consequences.re: charging at home & receiving charge anytime credits & a little help with your heating credits ?Especially as my Ovo Charge app has missing data. Tom…

We're victims of the termination of heatpump plus too. I'm speechless and out of pocket after changing to OVO, getting the Internet connection for the heatpump and, after complaining, a smart meter fitted. Even now this tariff is still being advertised. OVO staff seem not to have been informed of this change, as we were told we could go straight onto the tariff as soon as we had the smart meter. Oh well, off to another energy supplier I suppose. Very disappointing, to say the least.

Here is an extract from the table showing my gas usage yesterday evening. As you can see, two values are recorded: 8.30pm and 9pm. If usage is recorded at 8.30pm, does this show what has been used between 8pm and 8.30pm or what has been used between 8.30pm and 9pm?

I had a replacement solar panel generation meter fitted on 5th November. I gather this needs to be registered by OVO before I give the next reading whiich I should do before 31st Deecember. How to I go about this please? Peter

Hi AllI’m new to both EV’s and the OVO Forum so please be kind to this old bloke!So, an EV wasn't on my radar until some great deals recently hit the market and I reckon I’ll take the plunge.  My electricity supply deal with OVO has recently come to an end and I now need to think about a new deal.  I have had a survey done by a local EV Charger installer who has fitted lots in the area and has good reviews.  I have estimates for a Hypervolt Home 3 Pro 7.4kW and a Zappi 7kW.  I am happy with the installer and prices but I don’t want to make any mistakes.I can get the charger installed before the car arrives as the car is a factory order.I suppose what I am asking;  is there anything I need to consider before I sign up to a new OVO Energy deal?  If I sign up to a new deal now are there any issues I need to think about when my new vehicle arrives or is it just ‘plug and play’.  Also does anyone have any experience with the chargers I have mentioned or

I have solar and battery installed through Ovo currently exporting on the SEG Install Exclusive tariff. I'll be getting a great pink soon and am looking at tariff options. How does the Heat Pump Plus tariff calculate the electricity used by a heat pump if some is generated by solar and not imported? Is it as simple as the 15p/kWh cost being applied to any electricity imported, up to the amount that the heat pump has used? Over what period is this calculated? I’d like to work out the most cost effective way to run the systems if I get paid 20p for export but only pay 15p for import!

Hello, So my plans when installing a 8kw solis hybrid inverter and 16kwh lifepo4 battery were not for export, just a protection for blackouts (the house now runs on UPS). It is also a first step to lower electricity expenses, as they will only grow when we get an ASHP. Eventually we may add some PV.  Our battery install is ready.  🙂Since our DNO uk power networks stated they would approve us to do 5kw export, taking the next step while it was all fresh seemed simpler.  I now have an export MPAN, actually with 8kw approved. Our smart meter is export-ready. But we do not have MCS nor flexorb (as I had no plan to export now, I saved the expense).  Is there an advantage to get MCS paperwork vs short-circuiting and setting up export to an utility operator that does not require it? Or is there anything to gain with MCS?  😉 

my Mitsubishi Ecodan Remote Control box went blank after I knocked it on the floor (yes, I’m old, stupid, and clumsy). I DO NOT LIKE the Ecodan User Interface so tried to get alternative - was told it could not be done, so ended up with quote for £675+vat for the sale & commissioning of a new Mitsubishi Ecodan Remote Control box. strikes me as a bit high. Comments?

I’ve recently received an email stating that my analogue Electricity Meter is out of its Certification Period and needs replacing. I suspect that replacing like for like will not be an option so I may have to have a Smart Meter.I don’t (and won’t) use WiFi. I’m sometimes told mockingly that I am a member of the “Tin Hat Club” – well each to their own.Instead I use AV2 MIMO Homeplugs (made by Solwise/AZTech) to route Ethernet traffic around my flat. Some people disparage this as “legacy” technology but my experience with it over many years has been excellent. It is extremely reliable and the actual achieved transfer rates are good – 350Mbits/second between two PCs some way apart in different rooms (measured using iperf3).I’ve seen several reports that Smart Electricity Meters introduce noise onto the mains which can disrupt AV2 Homeplug working. I had a email to say battery boost is coming to an end on Feb 1st next year and nothing is coming in its place to allow you to charge your batteries in cheap times! Do you think everyone will look elsewhere for a better service? 

Hi,Unlike many of the other posters, I’ve had the opposite problem of paying too much for a charge.The car reckons it received around 17kwh of energy last night (which seems about right, as it was at 70%), but both the Hypervolt app and the OVO Charge app reckon they only supplied 3kwh. I’m guessing physics hasn’t changed and more likely a computer glitch, but thought I’d raise it with the forum.  Colin 

Hi,I have recently had a Vaillant aroTherm Plus heat pump installed, which is eligible for the Heat Pump Plus add on.I have entered all details in the eligibility checker and got a message back saying that OVO will get in touch in the next 5-7 days. It has been more than 3 weeks and I haven't got any correspondence with OVO.I have sent an email to OVO, and also I have been redirected to Heat Pump department but the line just drops after a while.I have exhausted all communication channels to get to some one to no avail.Any recommendations as what to do now? Basically their tariff is the main reason I signed up with OVO but I cannot do a simple thing of adding their tariff.

Hi, I have 2 electric cars and hoping to use Charge Anytime for them,I can see a response from OVO on a similar question 8 months ago where they said a new app update would allow this and was imminent, it seems this has not happened yet.Does anyone have any realistic workaround before I give up and change suppliers, thanks in advance
