My OVO energy

I'm having trouble understanding my usage chart on the app. As you can see from the 2 pics below my usage spikes on October 28th and maintains that all the way through November. I wasn't even at the location between 25th-29th October so nothing new plugged in etc. I don't understand the reason for the sudden maintained increase? I see a smart reader reading was taken on 28th Oct and 28th Nov and wondered if it then just averages it back and displays like that over the relevent period but if that was the case then why is there still slight variations day by day? To be clear,

I tried repeatedly to set up an online account with ovo energy, I used to be with SSE and was changed over to ovo. I am a pay as you go customer, I have the old fashioned traditional metre that you top up with an electric key in the shop. I do not have a smart meter. Is it not possible to have an online account with the traditional pay as you go metre. 

Having major issues: I registered on the forums fine yet when I enter my customer ID and click on First Time Logging In or Reset Password, nothing is being sent to the email address I registered with..... I know that the Email is correct because OVO send me account updates to it...

Hi I've run out of gas and don't get paid again until 13th and I'm on benefits.is their any help I can get please 

Do i have to claim compensation for loss of power i.e. No Electricity or are you looked after automatically.

Hi, just a quick question that I hope someone can answer to ease my anxiety. My energy provider is Octopus and I’m on a fully electric Economy 7 tariff, with a manual meter. Typically I’d give them my night and day readings and later that week they’d deduct the amount used from my balance, but since the end of August they’ve taken no payments from me. I still provide regular readings and am building up credit in my account for when (I presume) they’ll take the backdated amount, but should I be worried? Does this happen from time to time? It may have something to do with them thinking I had a nonexistent second meter in my property for a while and then finally listening to me (I’d told them for months that it didn’t exist and I only had one meter, the one I provide regular readings for,) and having it removed from my account, but I wanted to know if anyone could reassure me that I’ve taken the right steps and that I hopefully don’t need to worry.

Hi hope you can help I joined ovo since feb and all going well, I’ve been sending my meter readings in monthly but this month I have been doing it weekly to make sure I’m on track, and I like the way my balance is updated straight away. This morning I gave my meter readings and although it is logged in readings my balance has not changed or updated the weeks usage in billing, is this normal? Been checking every hour but still no change , thanks

Hi All, I changed from PAYG to DD last week after moving in. I had been topping up and was £27 in credit. I was told that everything would be sorted, but today, the electricity was off and the meter was saying -£3.52. I’ve been on a web chat for over an hour and have got nowhere as they (it) kept transferring me. Does anybody know what’s happening to me?

Despite the fact I have put £165 on my "smart" meter in the last 10 days it is registering less than £4!  My electric is forever shutting off, two weeks ago it shut down and when I called AGAIN they were sending someone out to check the meter.  I'm still waiting for them to arrive.  Today I phoned AGAIN and have been informed NONE of my payments have gone through!  Not only that there is more than £100 discrepancy between the payments I've made and what they register.  It would stand to reason that as my energy supplier I would of made more than 5 payments, which they should know, how can their system only go back two weeks?!  Now I have to prove I have made more than 5 payments, even though the money has been taken and to add insult to injury they are about to take another payment!  Plus apparently when I spoke to customer services they took money from my account that day that I knew nothing about!  All of this i

Greetings, I trust you’re all well. Last year, with the changes to the Warm Home Discount (in Scotland) it was changed to a Core and Broader group. I was still with SSE at that point and put my application through them (as a broader group) before I was moved to OVO. I was successful in my application and the money was applied to my account. This year, however, I am  unable to make any progress using OVO’s form to apply. (See: https://api.warm-home-discount.ovotech.org.uk/form) my circumstances have not changed since last year (other than being moved from PIP to ADP) however I’m continually met with the error message “EXIT_NOT_ELIGIBLE” with no other information on the page. I’m guessing that code is suggesting that I am not eligible, but I cannot understand why as I do meet the criteria this year again as far as I am aware.

Power Move I’ve not met my target,  yet my consumption is low between 4pm and 7pm as I work from 4.30pm to 7.30pm. I cook to eat at 3pm because I don’t want to cook when I get home from work. So, I think this scheme is a bit of a con.

SHOULD I DECIDE TO JOIN OVO, CAN I ONLY PAY FOR THE AMOUNT OF ENERGY I HAVE USED EACH MONTH? OR DO I HAVE TO PAY A LARGE AMOUNT EACH MONTH BY DIRECT DEBIT. IF THE LATTER THEN I WILL STAY WITH MY PRESENT SUPPLIER. THANK YOU

Is the November Power Move credit now showing on my OVO account pages mentioning 1st - 31st December in error? The September credit just mentioned September.  I didn’t receive a credit in October, so can’t compare for that month. 

I am currently supplied with gas from BG. As we are significantly extending the property we were advised we required a larger volume gas supply to the property. Southern Gas Networks have installed the pipework to the meter point (Not yet connected to supply at road 05/07) They said that BG will supply a U16 meter. However BG do not supply a U16 meter. What should we do?

Do I need to regularly clean my solar panels? I always assumed not as there is no chance of any debris etc landing.

why do ovo even though ive never missed a payment and im £110 in credit continue to threaten to raise my payment by £ 80 a month ,we are in the middle of a pandemic people are dying or losing there jobs and we get these threats to nearly double monthly payments based on ovo and there crystal ball and what you may or may not use energy wise over the next 6 months

I got another email yesterday for the Power Plus Move and it's £1 every KWH but my question is why is Ovo only offering £1 while Octopus is £4 KHW

What dates over Christmas and New Year are exempt from Power Move plan

Hi, Recently moved into a new home and the previous owners had a payg meter with boost. I have asked them to swap to pay monthly with ovo and after a few weeks, I got confirmation yesterday. However, the house has no electric at all now. We still had a balance on the top up meter which they said will transfer over to the pay monthly and I have had the pay monthly contract sent. Can't call them as they don't work weekends.Any ideas

I switched from SSE earlier in the year, but had already had PAYG smart meters installed. When using their app, I had set up a recurring payment for the electric meter. When I was moved to OVO Energy, I was unable to access the recurring payment on either the SSE app, and it hasn't showed up on the OVO top up app.This has become a problem because I want to be able to cancel this payment and set up a new amount, however without being able to access it through the top up app, I'm unsure what else to do. I have spoken to advisors on the phone, through email, through WhatsApp, through online chat. Either they don't know what to do to help, or they suggest different things, but nothing had worked to cancel this payment.Has anyone had this problem and found a way to fix this?​​​​

Can someone please help me my in home monitor on the gas is showing loads more gas than am actually using if phoned up everyday but no one seems to be helping me if done all the tests they’ve asked and still the gas is showing £20 when if fact it’s only between £3 to 4
