Is the excess charged for free service or just for repairs needed on the boiler cover plan?

THE fixed rate 1yr including boiler service essentials plan offers a boiler service. The plan has an £60 excess per claim for an engineer sent out. Is this thr case for the free service - so I would pay £60 for this or is it really free. Thank you

If memory serves, the free inclusive annual boiler service carries a £0 excess and a £0 call-out fee. It’s only the repairs that carry the £60 fee.

    Thank you it was the one thing that was stopping me doing the switch and getting the £15 a month cover , with the excess on top for a service it's quite a lot each year. Cheers for getting back to me.
