Hi guys,Im pretty new to the EV world, a week to be precise! I used a charger outside my house via OVO bonnet that required a £30 holding deposit, i have used the charger on the 24th, 25th and 29th of may and have yet to see any of my deposits returned. Could anyone possibly point me in the right direction please.

Is Ovo boiler cover any good?

Has anyone else had trouble with charge anytime limiting charging to the car. A couple of times recently I've set my car to charge overnight, with plenty of time to get to 100%, but when I check at 7am it's not fully charged. When I look in my charger log it's only been charging at 3.5kwh and not the full 7kwh, hence it's not fully charged. Is there a fix for this? I have an Audi Q4. 

Logged on to MyOvo on laptop this morning to find the following...Home page - under "Your meter readings" shows "We couldn't get a reading from your smart meter. Mind sending one manually?" Last reading was 21st May i.e. the reading used for the final reading of my latest billClick on Meter readings from left hand menu on home page and get "Your electricity smart meter is sending us readings automatically, so you don't need to do anything."So I have a mismatch on the information being shown by the website Latest bill was 21st April - 20th May 2024 so readings lost after bill production - odd???The usage for May shows estimates for 21-24 May inclusive Meter shows green for SW, WAN & HAN so pretty sure my meter is reachable and functioning, internal display working fine.Not had any issues with readings being sent since a similar issue was fixed after about 6-8 weeks dela

My head is spinning – Help please!My current setup is a ‘dumb’ charger feeding a Renault Zoe (a ‘compatible’ car) controlled through the Charge Anytime app.I’ve ordered a ‘compatible’ Ohme ePod charger because I plan to replace the Renault with a BYD Dolphin (‘non-compatible’).Currently on my phone are the Charge Anytime and Renault apps. At the moment everything works beautifully.When the ePod charger, which of course comes with an app, is installed I would like to continue to benefit from the Charge Anytime discount when charging the Zoe and then, when later the Zoe is replaced by the BYD, charge that.To charge the Zoe from the ePod should I uninstall and reinstall the Charge Anytime app, install the ePod app, and set it all up again (and later go through some ‘change car’ process) or can I simply reconfigure the Charge Anytime app to link to the ePod instead of the car?What should I link to what and in what sequence?Help!

ISSUE 1I charge a BMW iX at home (managed from my BMW App)I charge using Eazee-One (using Eazee-One App to lock able at night and authorise the charge so that no unauthorised person can charge while I am away)I HAVE to use OVO Charge anytime App to set the scheduleDo I really need to use 3 Apps just to charge my car???  What happened to “easy charging with OVO”, especially when one should be able to charge “Anytime”??ISSUE 2REGULARLY, I set all 3 APPs up at night to charge to 100% when I have a long journey next morning…. and REGULARLY, I wake up to find that despite having set:Charging limits on My BMW App (and to check all is ready) Enabled Eazee-One charger (and check all is ready)  Set accurate settings (Times and Max charging limits) on OVO charge Anytime APP, (even getting the message that “charing will start at 22:00”

My FIT (Feed in Tariff) account was with SSE. I tried to submit my FIT readings in September 2023 but was told my account had been transferred to OVO.  I tried to submit my readings to OVO but they said they have no record of my account.They gave me an email to send my numbers  to fits-read@ovoenergy.com. I sent my numbers and got no reply. I rang OVO again. They said they had no record of my email submission and someone would be in touch with me. No-ones been in touch with me. My energy account isn’t with OVO so I can’t log into their website.I need my FIT payment to. balance my budget Help please. If you have successfully contacted OVO with a similar problem tell me what you did. Or OVO if you’re reading this let me know what to do 

I arranged for smart meters to be installed. great. engineer really good and helpful. Couldn't fit electric due to meter being too old - asbestos fuses. was told that Scottish Power would contact me in order to change meter. Still waiting , no correspondence, no contact by phone, how do I find out what is happening

Please could someone post a photo of an export meter.I’m about to get a battery installed but I won’t be getting solar at the same time. The export meter seems to be associated with the solar, so that’s not coming yet. I could however charge the battery at off peak import rates and export at high peak rates, not with OVO unfortunately but Octopus do offer this... 

My new smart meter is not sending data to the DCC. It was installed in Feb 24 and has sent data from 1st April (but not prior) and then stopped on 9th May. The WAN light still flashes every 5 seconds so I cannot understand why it isn’t communicating. The HAN light also flashes every 5 seconds and I can see live data from meter. I am on Octopus and they want to remove me from their EV tariff. Can anyone explain why this would not be communicating data and what I can do about it?  Grateful for any help. 

Really disappointed with OVO as I can't get to work because the ev charge schedule was adjusted by Ovo to start at 7 AM.I ALWAYS check in the Ohme app that charge will come on through night allowing me to have enough charge to get to work. BUT, some time after 23.30, the schedule was adjusted to start at 7 am.Ovo need to guarantee a level of service otherwise I'll need to find another tariffI'm with Charge Anytime and have set Ohme up to add 70% every week day by 7.00 am.Suspect I'm not the only one with this issue. 

Why is the smart meter showing we are importing from grid overnight when the solar battery is exporting enough to run the bungalow? Surely it should be zero like during day. Also why does it import an amount at 6am most mornings, again when the battery is exporting enough.  We are wondering if OVO might be 'pinging' us to see if we are still here.

Hi. I’ve had solar panels ( no battery) and electric storage heaters fitted with a government grant. Which electricity tariff should I get? Solar or economy 7?or is there a combination thanksSimone

I am writing to urgently address an ongoing issue with the heating and hot water in my recently moved apartment.Upon moving in, I discovered that both the storage heaters and the immersion element to heat up the water in the cylinder tank were not functioning. After consulting with my electrician, it was determined that the problem likely stemmed from a malfunctioning off-peak timer switch.In response to this issue, OVO sent an engineer to replace the entire meter box last Friday evening (3rd May). While the engineer assured me that this replacement would resolve the problem, unfortunately, the heating and hot water systems are still not operational.Despite assurances of a follow-up visit by another engineer the next morning, no technician arrived to check on the situation or make any necessary adjustments. As a result, my family and I have been without heating or hot water for the past six days.

I have been using my Indra smart charger installed by ChargedEV for over a year and  Charge Anytime for some months with no problems. However, the charger went solid red and offline. Attempts to reset it have failed - soid purple meaning stuck at bootup. The boost button doesn't do anything, so having to use a granny charger for our two EVs. Awaiting a call back but they say could be 2 to 3 weeks for service. Meanwhile, I will be charged full price for electricity. I have solar so I can help manage that, but overall this is not very satisfactory. I see something here about an app from OVO for non smart chargers and Anytime, so it's it possible to use that while the charger gets fixed? 

Currently having issues with Charge Anytime not updating Charge % and range.  It is picking up if car is away from home or if it is not plugged in.  Seems like some of the Renault metadata is being read and some not.  Anyone else seeing this?   First noticed on Wednesday Iast week and reported it by email on Thursday.  Was briefly working on Thursday but now stuck at 100% and 16 miles since Friday.  Anyone else seen anything similar?  

I am unsure what I information I need to supply when required to give generation meter readings. Below is a photograph of what I believe is my generation meter. Do I just supply the 5 digits to the left of the decimal point? Do I ignore the digits after the decimal point?Also OVO have told me I need to supply an EXP reading. My photograph has an arrow next to IMP - is this right? - do I need to change it to point to EXP? If so I cannot see how to do this - there are no buttons on the unit.TIA 

Hi,We asked Ovo for an IHD well over a year ago and were advised one would be sent when Ovo had a suitable model back in stock, unfortunately nothing has ever arrived.However we have been given an unwanted Scottish Power Chameleon IHD3-PPMID-V3 (from a different address/account), can this be paired with our SMETS1 meters (Landis Gyr E470/G470, Trilliant SEAP-2001-V)?Thanks

With Southern Electric I was paid an amount for Generated electric on my generation meter which was around 60p per unit and then paid for exported electric which was about 5p, is this the same with OVO and if so what are the rates, I only ever give the generation metre numbers, the export is on a different smart meter, and I have spoken to the 'FiT team' they just keep repeating the same phrase and are unable to answer any of my questions, for example why has my income dropped from 180 pounds with SE to barely 15 pounds with OVO. I hope someone can help.

I would like to enquire whether anyone has had very expensive bills from OVO with an ASHP.  My bills each month are between £500 and £600.  I have read on their website that you can get a reduction for some part of the bill if you have an ASHP, but finding it hard to received information on how to go about this and what information OVO need to prove the installation.  Does anyone have any knowledge please?

I moved to OVO on the 17th April. I was previously with British Gas and I have a SMETS1 Smart Meter. How long do I need to wait until I can get a SMETS2 meter installed?

My Mitsubishi ASHP was installed last year, to run the existing radiator CH system.  An extension with UFH was about to be built and the installers left me with a separate pumped connection for the UFH.  That has duly been completed and connected and been running by connecting the UFH pump in parallel with the existing CH pump - ie I have one zone.I now want to separate the CH and UFH into separate zones.  I have the contacts from the UFH wiring centre connected to IN6 (Room Thermostat 2 input) and the UFH Pump to OUT3 (Zone 2 space heating).I have turned on DIP switches SW2-6 and SW2-7 but keep getting an L5 error (Indoor FTC temperature thermistor reading incorrect value, thermistor disconnected or wired into the wrong connection on the board, incorrect dip switch setting on the FTC board).  The manual tells me I don’t need an indoor thermistor if I’m using the remote wireless controller.  I have also tried changing SW3-1 and SW4-1 but still get an error cod

I’ve downloaded the new Ovo Charge app (that allows you to see charge points on any of the affiliated networks and potentially pay for cheaper PAYG rates). but when I log in with my Ovo details it doesn’t recognise that I have charge anytime connected to my account.Has anyone else encountered this or have anyidea how to overcome? The app has no support function at least not until i can log in!
