hi guyshope everyone is oki have a Dimplex storage heater qm050rf whch i have been using for the past 2 years. i switch it off when it is summer and switch it back on when in winter. it has been working for the past 2 years but now it seems to only blow out cold air.i have never changed any settings and the date and time is right. i am aware that it could take 2 to 3 days to heat up but it has been over a week now.the boost works. things i have tried:factory restoresetted the timer to what time i want.tried looking for the thermostat reset button but cannot see it.i am really stuck on this matter.hopefully someone can helpmany thanksp.s this is a dual installation heater.

So recently decided to use Ovo boiler service, instead of my regular person. They sent someone on 27th Sept who said the boiler was in PERFECT CONDITION! A week later, boiler is showing signs of pressure loss, and unable to fill back up. When I called them I am told I do not have service cover & they can’t do anything. The boiler has been working fine ALL YEAR, till they showed up. Now I have to write to complaints and it will take 14 days to respond. This is just the worst result from using a so called reputable company. 

I'm looking to get my meters upgraded to smart meters. I just wanted to double check if there will be a problem. Currently my gas meter is installed at 6ft internally in the garage.  The garage is in integral garage within the house.  Do I need to contact the gas network to have this lowered before requesting a smart meter installation?   

Every morning my smart-meter says I’ve used around £0.45P of energy. Have I or does this  include the standing charge? 

Ok so this seems to be a problem with Audis after doing some research. I have a project ev charger and after doing through all the options I can’t get the app to charge via the smart charge. So annoying. You connect it to the car, the app says it’s connected you tell it when you want it charged by and it does nothing all night. Even when you press for an urgent charge it doesn’t work. Contacted the support email, not much help to be honest. Anyone sorted this problem out? 

Hi,  I have been very happily using  Charge Anytime with my Tesla for the past 2 years.  My son is now also planning to get a Tesla but under a lease scheme. I believe he would have his Tesla account linked by the Lease company as a driver of the vehicle. The limitation on adding a second Tesla to your Charge Anytime account is you have to use the same Tesla account. Can this be achieved if the Tesla account I’m currently using is identified as  a driver of the leased Tesla?  I think added drivers get access to most features so I’m hoping this would work. Can anyone confirm this?  Unfortunately I only have an older  Hypervolt V2 charger so that’s not yet compatible with Charge Anytime.  Many ThanksRob

HiI have an appointment on Friday to change THTC meter to new Smart economy 10.I'm worried  it may not be the best option for me.I have a very old storage heater in lounge .I'm worried as I usually charge these at night for longer periods than the split economy 10 times.Is it likely they will ever be able to get warm enough to provide enough heat? I do intend to purchase a new storage heater at some point but can't  at the moment.I know economy 7 may be an option but we are normally in alot though the day so Ovo thought economy 10 suited me better.Any advice is appreciated as very confused in what to do.Thanks

My smart meter was installed yesterday at 7.40 this morning my electric usage was 42p & gas usage was 28p. Even taking into account fridge/freezer, broadband, TV’s on standby overnight 42p electric seems high. The gas at 28p is a bigger mystery as no gas was used overnight (heating is off at the moment). Does some of the cost include a daily standing charge? Can anyone shed any light on this please?

We left OVO at the end of last week but I now seem to be stuck with the OVO Anytime tarrff configured on my Ohme ePod charger.I’ve called Ohme, who say I need to speak to OVO, who say I need to speak to Ohme - it seems neither is sure how to remove the tariff, so I can go ahead and set up a new tariff with my new supplier.Has anyone here experienced this before, or know how to get this resolved?(Until its fixed I fear I’m either not going to be able to charge my EV at home at all, or wont be able to get the best rates from my new supplier)

We’re considering getting solar panels and battery from Ovo (we’re existing customers). Does anyone who’s already gone down this road have any thoughts - good or bad - on how it’s going for them? Thanks!

I've just switched to OVO and was told that we could have a smart meter installed, but since then I haven't heard anything further. I am concerned because our meter isn't in our flat, it is in a communal cupboard to which I don't have access. I'm worried I won't be able to read the meter regularly if we can't get a smart meter. Has anyone had experience of this?

Does anyone else have a Project EV charger and uneventfully using the Project EV app?For over a year that's what I did, got home plugged car in and the timer set in my car (Nissan Leaf e+) used the off peak electricity kindly provided to me by OVO.A few weeks back Project EV sent an email suggesting I migrate to Electric Miles, which I did. Setup wasn't straightforward,  but it was manageable, however  its reliability causes anxiety.Now when I plug in I don't know if I'll wake to a night without charge,  like this morning. I went to the Electric Miles app and it's asking me to add a charger (already done, more than once). To be fair, their Support does respond, but not always with a solution. Some replies have been to the effect of stating awareness of a problem and working on it.Is it just me?

Hi, i have a BMW I4, a company car, and i need to enter the actual kwh into my company app for business mile reimbursement.  I have been using 7p as this is the charge anytime rate but when i calculated the actual reimbursement i have had over the last 3 months it averages, each month, to 10p / kwh so less reimbursement than i was expecting.  I was expecting a reimbursement per charging session of 16.44p (23.44p - 7p) to take me to 7p actual.I don’t have the override feature enabled so i was surprised by this.Anyone else see this?thanks for any help!

I have my EV signed up to Ovo charge. I have the App, I have the card but how does on use it!I’ve had a very stressful day trying to use public charging and had to resort to first downloading those charger Apps but failing to get them to work and eventually just using my debit card with still some difficulty! In fact it was an octopus customer who rescued me by simply holding his octo card to the contactless and it going right through thank god. I’m now fully charged to journey home.  do I just hold it to the contact point? Like a debit card? I’m such a noob to this so clueless without instructions 

The Leaf isn’t on the list of vehicles that OVO says is compatible with their systems. Does anyone know why?  I’m asking as I have a smart meter, a smart charger (not one of the ones OVO recommends) and solar panels and was hoping to benefit from the V2G when is is fully up and running.. 

I am an OVO customer and have been running a heat pump for almost two years, so am really disappointed that existing account holders with heat pumps are not able to benefit from the heat pump plus tariff. Are OVO going to extend the tariff to existing heat pump users any time soon or is this yet another instance of existing OVO customers with heat pumps being disadvantaged for already doing what OVO wants householders to do  - install a heat  pump - but just not an OVO heat pump?

Hi all, So I’ve joined the Power Move Flex with Charge Anytime.  I’m looking for clarity on what constitutes a session. For every 3 hours is a session but if I plugged in for 6 hours does that count as 1 or 2 sessions?  Wondering if I would need to unplug and replug in day every few hours or at least every day or can I leave it constantly plugged in, if for example I didn’t use the car for a few days.  thank you  

Hi, hope that you can help.We had solar panels fitted yesterday with a battery.i downloaded and setup the solis cloud app. This shows when the battery is charging or discharging but does not show any love input from the panels or the grid. Though in the case of the grid it shows an overall input amount. Do I need to play with the settings? Or have the sensors not been correctly set up?TIA. 

Hi I've received an email stating I need to book to get my 2 meters removed, THTC, and move to single meter I'm assuming. Does anyone know what meter we're getting offered and if the prices will be hiked up?My understanding is that with THTC it is cheaper at night, will this still be the case?Any information would be appreciated.Thanks

We have had solar panels for nearly 15 years now, and they still work fine, generation levels have barely moved in that time. And we have had the same electrical installation throughout, import export meter and separate generation meter. And nearly all the time with SSE.Now of course with OVO, and I am now getting letters asking for a picture of the generation meter-read with the serial number visible. Except there has never been a serial number visible on the generation meter, as loads of SSE engineers have confirmed over the years.I’ve emailed OVO with pictures, written old style letters, and never get a response. And now they are threatening to stop payments.First question is: has anyone else experienced this?Second question: if the current generation meter is no longer compliant, for example if the government now wants proof of the generation with a specific meter serial number (which I can understand being a valid ask to prevent fraud), then I can al

Hi Folks,I’ll begin by saying the setup for EV charging hurts my brain!I have a Cord One charger, which is meant to be Ovo compatible and I’ve been using their recommended app from Monta to manage smart charging.I’m on Ovo Charge Anytime and also have the CA app installed on my phone. I’m not sure if that’s needed or not though. It seems like that and the Monta app fight for the right to schedule my EV charge times.To confuse myself further, I’ve just enrolled in the Power Move Flex option where I’m supposed to have the car plugged in as close to 24/7 as is practical.My dilemma is, if I set my Monta app to smart charge then the Charge Anytime app doesn’t see the car as being plugged in, so does that mess with the Power Move Flex sessions? However, if I set the Monta app to ‘Charge Now’, then the car is being charged at any time, day or night, and I don’t know if I’m then paying peak rate for the electric.Should I even have both apps installe

I have a situation which has not been resolved despite several phone calls and emails so was wondering if anyone is able to work out what is going on. I moved home in June 2024 and I was with Ovo at my previous property. This is what has happened so far:1) Ovo became the electricity supplier to my new home on 20/06/24 and asked me to submit an opening meter reading.2) I emailed the same day to explain this was not possible as there was only 1 section for 1 meter reading on Ovo's website. I have economy 7 which is only for the heater and there are 2 reading on my meter which is a Liberty 110. The opening readings were:R01: 5468.8R02: 1382.2.(shown in photos below)3) Ovo's website explains how to read my meter and it says R02 is the day reading.4) R02 has not changed and still reads 1382.2.5) R01 is changing daily so that is the day and night reading minus the heater (why does the website say R01 is the night reading?)6) Th
