Unable to apply for job at Ovo, Apply button broken. Any suggestions?

Adding colour to a Forum replyTutorial

.Updated on 20/04/22 by Jess_OVO Astute Forum Members will have spotted that there are some new options at the top of the Reply window which allow us to add colour to our messages.I’ve been adding colour manually for the last two years in order to bring greater clarity to some of my more technical prose. However, the method I used for this was a bit clunky, and probably beyond the ability of many users.The new icons are shown here: To add a colour, first highlight the word(s) you wish to be in that colour by dragging the pointer across, click the foreground icon and choose a colour from the palette.If you’d like to select from a wider palette, click on More Colors which will open a separate window. The large box to the right marked Highlight depicts the colour under the pointer, and the rectangular box below it has the colour on which you last clicked.When you’re happy with your selection, click on the Add button, and the Selected Colour will be applied to the word(s) you’d highlighted

New Forum Feature! You can now unsubscribe from email alerts with one-click

Hey there!I’ve got some good news to share with everyone today, and we’re hoping that this helps to make the OVO Forum more useful for you. We’ve heard that some members would rather not get flooded with loads of emails from the forum and this is definitely something that Tim has wanted to improve upon. And I’m pleased to announce that it’s completed.Thanks to a recently released feature that the platform provider has just given us, it’s now possible to unsubscribe from email alerts sent by the OVO Forum with just a single click. This will make it so that all alerts of that same type are turned off all at once. This is on top of the existing settings you can already manage in your Profile. The new method won’t require a login and is designed to be completely one-click. Your request should be completed within 90 seconds and further emails of the same type should stop by the end of the day. What kind of OVO online community member are you?Blog

Updated on 19/04/24 by Shads_OVO I have just found this OVO Community (which I didn’t know even existed 8hrs ago!) I have been an OVOcustomer for quite a while now, am on the V2G trial and have applied for the heat trial.  As a type of person I am keen on Green, money saving and as an IT Director also keen on new tech (I have 19 Alexa devices in my house now) so have been an early adopter for years. I now have a long range Leaf and have been trialling how close I can get without range anxiety. I am keen on the environment and the possible and am a user of public charge points (hence the excellent EV Everywhere tariff)  I just wondered if I was typical of the community or was on the “geek” end...

Food we eat and waste we leave behind - discussion on lockdown learningsBlog

Updated on 19/04/24 by Shads_OVODuring the lockdown, we felt genuinely grateful to the essential workers who managed the essential home deliveries as we followed strict guidelines and avoided travel to the supermarkets.We have always been a conscientious family, driven by reduce, reuse and recycle  principles. However during the lockdown, our food waste reduced further significantly. Value on hard to get commodity is quickly felt and appreciated. As a kitchen gardener, I have huge respect for the farmers and food growers who til the land for the food, which leads to our plates. One thing I discovered during the lockdown was oddbox which delivers food which is in surplus, or not sold in the supermarket either due to size or shape. We have been delighted with the produce and many of our friends appreciated the introduction (plus a free £10 voucher for the first order, pm me for a new customer link if you're interested).  This made me wonder, what changes we are open to make to our lifest

Am I allowed to share my Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) charger with other EV owners in need of charge via Zap-map?

I would like to add my charger to the zap map, not for profit but for helping out others who are in need of a bit of juice. I wonder if we are allowed to do that? Andras

V2G Tariff, Smart Meters, and Solar Panel Export Payments - how does it all link up?

I am hoping someone from OVO will be able to help me with this.With your new (upcoming?) V2G tariff which pays for exported energy:1) Does this work with a smart meter (SMETS2?) which keep track of 'exported' energy kWh via a separate reading? Therefore it's counting both the EV car's exported energy and the solar panel's exported energy together?2) Would someone with solar panels therefore be paid by you on the basis that they're outside of the FiT scheme (opting-out or never registered for FiT export payments?)3) Does the solar panel energy have to first be 'fed into' the V2G car battery, and then exported out to the grid via the V2G connector, or e.g. when the car isn't connected to the charger and is out on the road, and there is excess solar energy being produced at home, would that energy be exported and counted by the smart meter directly and would this exported energy still be paid for by you regardless?4) Is it a REQUIREMENT that we have an EV car and/or purchase an EV charger

Hot off the press - We've got Spark Energy joining the OVO family!

See Ofgem's statement [url=https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/publications-and-updates/ofgem-appoints-ovo-energy-take-customers-spark-energy-supply-limited]here[/url] [b][i]What does this mean?[/i][/b] Well in short, Spark and OVO customers won't see a huge amount change. OVO Group will grow by 290,000 customers, but anyone supplied by Spark will still have all aspects of their account under the Spark brand. So for Spark Energy, it’s business as usual. My transition from a Petrol car to an Electric Vehicle (EV)

I was like a lot of people with 100's of questions such as "What is the range like? How long does it take to charge?" But from spending £150 a month on fuel for my Fiesta I thought to myself I will risk it for a biscuit on the range so fast forward to April 2017 I purchased my first EV which was a 2014 Nissan Leaf Acenta. After owning the vehicle for a few months with people saying it was the worst mistake I could have made. How was I meant to drive up to the West Midlands to see relatives if it could only realistically do 80 miles on a single charge. I wanted to prove my friends and family wrong by travelling 200 miles to the West Midlands. August 2017 at 3am I decided to travel to the midlands (I leave early to beat traffic) on this exciting journey (At this time, I was an Ecotricity customer who was still providing me free charging) Let's just say to save boring you with a long story, I made it to my destination with no issues with any of the charging stations and the car was fantas
