Anyone else noticed the app is slow at the moment?

Anyone else experiencing trouble with the app. It’s very slow to upload.  Checked signal and all fine.  🤷‍♀️.

I don't use my account very often and it took 30 seconds to load and another 20 to find all the data. It's roughly what it took the last time.

 

Closed it down and opened it again and it took the same amount of time.

 

Closed it down, cleared the cache and data, restarted and after logging in it took the same amount of time. It seems normal to me. A bit slow as apps go but seems normal.

I've had the problem for weeks, I log in and it gets to "loading one more thing" or similar, and then hangs for 20 seconds. It the may load properly but usually not.

Hmm… I can’t reproduce this…

I’d say reinstall the app and see if that helps. If it does NOT, please tell me what device you’re using and what version of Android/iOS you’re on.

I have reinstalled the app. I have also stopped it, cleared cache and restarted it. Android 13, Motorola G52 5g . Hope that helps

Since I first installed it (and then reinstalled it) I have been frustrated about how slow the Android app is to load.

“Just one more thing” for a minute or more - and when it does finally get there a red warning that not all data could be loaded.

My “go to” is the webpage; but “Beyond” stuff like Power Move is only in the app now.

I get the ‘Not all data could be loaded’ as well but it is for a flat that is no longer used so it is not using any electricity and I thought that was the reason I was getting the message.

My experience is exactly the same as Nukecad. It has always been slow to load, but never this slow and I never had the error message. This problem started around 1 to 2 months ago

@Nickjb That seems about right. I don't remember seeing the ‘Not all data ...’ message three months ago

As from yesterday all now seems well (miraculously). Still on the slow side but it always was

Thanks for flagging this! ​@Ben_OVO and I also noticed this when we were in Bristol. I've asked internally if this is something we're aware of or currently addressing. We'll provide an update when we know more.

As of the last few days the app has been working fine. In fact it's never been this quick to load since I installed years ago!! So my guess is OVO has done something to sort it?

Ok. I've just timed full loading at 20 seconds compared to 50. Pretty impressive but I have also just gone from 17Mbs to 150Mbs FTTP so maybe some of that is my change to fibre. Just thought you would like to know.
