I am currently selling my metered export generation to Scottish Power and wish to move from them to another on the buyer’s list to get a better rate.    I am advised that Scottish Power need to inform the FIT register that my export is now “ negotiated” .

I have now been waiting some 3 months for Scottish Power to activate this change and in spite of several complaints have had no joy.

My new buyer has had all the relevant paper-work for the transfer which is all in order

Any suggestions as to how to expedite this transfer?

@jaybell I moved my FIT export (and at the same time moved from deemed to measured) approx 6 months ago - my FIT generation stayed.

If I remember correctly, I simply told my existing provider that my export was moving, provided them with a ‘last reading’ (with photos) and had my new provider ready to begin from the same point. I’m sure (although I can’t find it at present) that the Ofgem process says it should be just like that.

Hey @jaybell

Sorry to hear this.

Am I correct in understanding that you’d like to move your FIT from Scottish Power to a different company?

If you’ve already got a FIT account set up with Scottish Power it should be as simple as contacting the FIT team of the supplier you wish to switch to, many will have online applications.
