How much is it to replace a single rate electricity meter with an Economy 7 one?

I have just joined OVO home plan.Have a plumbing issue.How do you get fixed.Emergency no only mon until fri

Hello.  I’ve heard people talk about off-peak electricity and so have been running the dishwasher and washing machine at night, but now I’m wondering if I just pay the same amount all the time.  I’m on a 2 Year Fixed Energy Plan - is that one price for electricity at any time of the day?  Is it just Economy 7 which costs less at night? Thanks.

Hi does anyone know that when you run out of emergency gas at night is it meant to stay connected until 9am? Mine has ran out and gone off 

Hi,  When a bill is paid using PayPoint, how long does it take to show against a customers account. We made the payment on 30.7.22, and were told it would take 3 working days to credit the account. The payment was made well inside the 14 days we have to make the payment, as stated on the bill. Now 5 working days later, a rep informs me, that they cannot provide a timescale for the payment being credited to the account and to ignore any letter OVO will send, chasing the payment. All I need is an answer for my pensioner dad, who is also suffering from I’ll health and all I’m getting is different answers and being told to ignore their letters?

Im wondering if I can turn my gas off as I can’t afford to use it and don’t want the standing charge either. Also  if I go onto PAYG and don’t top it up will they still take the standing charge. Thanks in advance for any assistance. 

Pardon my ignorance but is OVOs Simpler Energy (flexible, rolling contract) is this tariff under which OFGEM control the cost paid per unit etc which is called  The Default Tariff Cap?  

Back at the end of March I spotted that my smart meter swapped from the off peak cheap rate to peak rate just after 8am each morning, but did not disconnect my off-peak circuit until 30 minutes later.Every morning I have been charged the peak rate price for any power taken by my off-peak hot water storage tank to reheat after supplying hot water for my washing, showering, washing dishes, etc.Four months later, and OVO have still not sent the correct instructions to my smart meter.Am I the only person being consistently over-charged this way?

Hii have just moved into my first house and the previous occupier used OVO as their energy provider.I have tried to start as a new customer but the website says I can’t open an account and when I ring the options are for members only. what should I do? I’m just concerned of the electric and gas being cut off thanks

We have recently bought a house, and Cadent have connected a gas supply. We have a meter point reference number but no meter, and are choosing an energy supplier. I was told by your support team a couple of weeks ago that although you were able to switch customers who were already electricity and gas customers of other companies, you were unable to accept new gas-only customers who had no meter. Is that still the case, or have things improved?

I am not a OVO customer.  I strongly suspect an OVO customer who is stealing electricity. This person is an electrician, and is quite capable of doing this.  I can not reveal who this person is, but he is  NOT struggling to pay his bill.  This person in my definition is quite wealthy.  Recently I saw a poor mother on TV with a disabled child, struggling to pay her energy bill, and was in tears!   Does anyone know what procedure OVO takes to make an investigation, and is the police involved. Thanks

I'm trying to submit meter readings for May via the account management web app. Electric allowed me to submit as normal. However, the gas meter section suddenly thinks I have a smart meter installed, and won't let me submit readings via the browser (the iPhone app seems to let me submit, but then is overwriting any manual readings with fake smart meter readings). The previous manual meter reading history for gas has disappeared. I don't have a smart meter installed for either gas or electricity. An engineer did attend back in November, but had to abort the install on the day due to connectivity issues with the gas meter part. He reverted both gas and electric meters to the previous dumb units, and I've continued to take manual readings…. which has been working just fine up till now. Is there perhaps a general fault with the meter reading submission web service, currently…

why is it there isn't any where on the website to cancel  a switch to a 2 year rate by accident ? . i wanted to look at the tariff as i was on a variable rate and by accident i pressed the switch my tariff button . i have 14 days to cool off but the website doesn't facilitate that , why not ? A cynic would say that you do this on purpose .

Hello,I am a new customer to OVO.I moved to a flat on 9th of May 2022.I called 0330 303 5063 soon after I moved in and have had my account set up by the operator telling her my personal information like name, phone number, email address, date of birth, etc.I then set up OVO online account by myself, apparently with success,but when I log-in, the site shows  "A problem has occurred" screen, as I attached below, and I cannot do anything there.I can log in, but what I see after logging in is the attached "A problem has occurred" screen. I have also tried Android OVO app, but similarly, the app says:Sorry, there was a problem grabbing your account information.and cannot do anything on it. Then, one month later, in early June, I got the first bill by po

Hi.  I have COPD, and need to use an oxygen machine at home to be able to breath.  Unfortunately as I am on benefits I am really struggling to pay my bills.  Is there any help available for me: as I can’t reduce my energy use-age any further.

I would like to upgrade my supply from single to three phase.  We are installing solar panels, an ASHP and car chargers and will need the increased supply.  I was in the process with SSEN and Bulb, but that was obviously stopped.  We then contacted another supplier and they said they would be able to install a three phase meter.  We moved to the new supplier, but they have now said they will not complete a meter exchange from single to three phase.  Before I move to OVO, please can you confirm that you are able to offer the meter exchange from single to three phase?  Many thanks.

Does anyone out there know if there is a smart IHD available that will link with Amazon Alexa so that I can ask Alexa by voice to read out my energy consumption information. I'm disabled and this would help.

I am a first time tenant who recently moved into a home supplied by OVO but I am receiving bills under the previous tenants account. I am non-verbal and have tried emailing and using the online chat service both of which haven't worked. Is there anyway I can resolve this without calling? The property mangers have already tried to resolve this by calling and explaining all this but the advice has still been to call. I also already looked into switching to a more accommodating service but unfortunately still need to set up an account on OVO before I could do so. PS- I live alone and quite far from any family so getting someone to help would be quite difficult. I also would prefer to not have to rely on such methods.

How do I add another account to my account 

I have my FIT set up with OVO but my energy supplier is now E’on Next. E’on requires me to have a smart meter.  Will this cause any issues for the FIT process for OVO and/or myself?

Hi I have an offer on my ovo account for a Tado smart meter for £120 which can be paid up front or in interest free instalments. However, when I go to pay it doesn't give the option for instalments. Has anyone managed to take up this offer and paid in instalments? I have emailed ovo a couple of weeks ago and had no reply.Thanks in advance :)Natasha 

Hello, I moved in April into a property with electricity supplied by OVO. I registered, but there was a mistake - my start date was listed 1 month late (14th of may instead of 14th of april, which is when I actually moved in).I immediately phoned OVO when I saw the wrong start date on the contract. The person I talked to was very nice, but said he could not do anything, but would forward the information to the relevant people, who would be able to fix this issue. It has been almost two months, and I have had no news...I have also sent in an e-mail a couple of weeks ago, but I have not received any reply either. Is there some contact number for the contracts team, or some other way to contact and fix this?
