My OVO energy

Been on  a Payg gas metre with SSE now OVO. Twice now since OVO took over had email saying I'm using gas and not paying. Last email saying I owe money, even though metre in credit.Now the funny part is, my gas isn't even on! I'm not living in the property, Gas boiler doesn't work and I have it switched off at the metre. So I only need to top it up on the card here and there to cover the standing charge. I phoned helpdesk both times and was told to ignore the email, but why is this even happening?It seems to me the system doesn't like the fact I'm not using gas, so assumes that I must be and just makes something up out of literally nothing. Please please 🙏 OVO can you sort yourselves out!! If it happens again, I'm seriously thinking about just permanent disconnect. And or switching to another company. Seems like I'm not the only one on PAYG that has these problems. 

Hi, last year I was automatically changed from SSE to OVO. I've never created a online account, I tried months ago but during the sign up process i got some kind of error message, my details didn't match. I've tried signing up with multiple account numbers, I share the flat with my brother and although both names are on the account (letters) i seems to have different account numbers on various letters, I have tried the account number that was on a old sse letter too . Anyhow, I'm moving out this upcoming Wednesday and I read as I have smart meters I can tell OVO online and it's a simple process. But I can't create a account to do this. I'm worried when I move out I will continue to be charged and stuff. I've got so much to do between now and Wednesday I can't afford to be waiting for ages on hold over the phone and if I was to ring I don't even know what account number is linked to my meters (account) it's probably made more confusing as me

Is there a facility to block users here?

We are currently on a 3-phase supply with OVO and use all three phases (Ground source heat pump on all three, house on L1 and outbuilding on L2). Ovo metering team cannot yet fit a polyphase smart meter in this area I’ve been told and we are on a Elster A1100 3-phase meter installed 4 years ago. We also have a small solar array on the house roof with a single phase inverter connected onto the house phase (L1). it is not a very large installation, producing just over 10kWh a day, and has no battery to store any unsed production - we currently give it away for free to the grid(!) QUESTION - Does anyone know if this type of polyphase meter performs a vector sum of all phases such that the net consumption is billed to me. (ie can I be producing a couple of kilowatts of solar on L1 and using the same or less on L2 and not see the meter reading increase? I don’t like the thought of giving away electricity for free, but the economics of addi

I was an SSE customer but with the take over my account has been migrated over to OVO.The first month i did’nt really check what was happening with my  OVO balance as im on a smart  meter.  at the start of august i checked my balance against my bill ,my ending balance was  £126 .a few weeks later i was checking my usage and saw that my balance had gone down to £116 check if i had been billed again ? no ! checked if there was any information as to why it had gone down , again no! so i called OVO and asked why my balance had gone down before my billing date and what the charge was for i was giving a number for SSE i was been charge by them and they where debiting my OVO balance , so i called and was told that had no idea about it and that my SSE account was closed and migrated over to OVO  i so  i asked for them to send me  an email stating so with closing balance ,they did so . called OVO back and asked again why my balance had gone down  before my billing date  this time i wa

Is it possible for OVO to cross reference there marketing emails.I receive mails highlighting the benefits of a smart meter all the time.I would like a smart meter but do not live in an area that can support them (no signal apparently) But OVO also tell me that I can't have a smart meter, So one system is sending out spam emails that don't need to be sent which another system knows are useless to me.… Anyway do you think it's possible they could make good use of the data?

Received my solar tariff cheque as usual but upon paying it in via mobile app it shoes up as a duplicate cheque. I paid it in straight after opening the envelope. Please advise 

I can't log into my ovo account as it us saying ip address barred 

First a bit of background:My original smart meters' communication effectively died last year, so OVO replaced them with new ones. Since then OVO have been getting my readings reliably now for about a year. However, third party apps like Ivie and Loop effectively lost connection to my data for months. Ivie finally came back a couple of months ago but has disappeared again, MIA for the last month. Loop has never regained connection to my meters' data.I've seen somewhere on here (?) that the connection to OVO doesn't rely only on the DCC connection. But if these things aren't talking to the DCC reliably I'm going to be kind of stuck if I ever wanted to move away - especially with the news about OVO's refinancing and possible full sale. Does anyone know the best number to call / department to speak to to get this looked into and maybe even have them replaced again if they're failing yet again? Obviously SOMETHING isn't right and to be honest it's getting a bit annoying now

Hello, we live in a big house that has been converted into 3 flats. We are electric only and just started to move in. I have noticed that there is a daily usage of exactly 1.9kwh. It is spread equally throughout the entire day and I have no idea what is causing this. I have tried to turn the main switch off in the fuse box but it makes no difference. Any advice would be very appreciated. Thank you.

Since switching to a fixed-rate tariff last week, my Power Move page no longer shows me as ‘Joined’. Attempts to Join spring challenge are met with this:I’m hoping this means that I’m still joined despite not having the little pink label, but I can’t get this confirmed. Any suggestions?

The Power Move Flex results emails were fine to the end of May, but from June the email states: “Your smart meter failed to send us readings ... so we couldn’t see the full picture of your electricity use.”. However when I check the readings on the website, I have a full history over the period.This has happened for 3 June to 9 June, 10 June to 16 June & 17 June to 23 June.Any thoughts on what could be going wrong would be most welcome.Thanks    

OVO have lost my payment. I sent proof of payment ie bank statement showing paymentIt has now been over 6 weeks and they have not replied nor credited me with my payment Operator online assured me payment would show on my account in 5 days.  That was two weeks ago£97.19 is a substantial amount to lose and I (who can) cannot afford to cover this Please help find this money. I went to check the details on the card left by the engineer when my new meter was installed a few months ago. This is what I found:    The card isn’t even card - it’s just paper, and it was originally attached to the backboard by the screw to the left of the meter. Small animals have clearly come foraging and (luckily) found nothing to their taste except for this card. Not a single character penned by the engineer is left. By contrast, the yellow warning sticker is pristine possibly eight years after it was applied. I wondered if anyone uses ‘Home Assistant’ (HA) to track and monitor your home (including power usage)?The reason for the question is that I have recently set up my own system and now have a full view of energy, temperatures, humidity, voltage, frequency etc and I notice that the HA system has an OVO feed. I can’t test this myself as I don’t currently have an OVO account but it would be useful to know what it provides 

I was originally with ovo but was moved to boost and now I've been moved back.Got the ovo appTried to register on website and it's saying I have to make a new password it takes me to the website which is being renewed. So how am I meant to sort that out? Also why isn't there a balance on the app?I'm a pay and go customer if my in home display was to fail I wouldn't be able to track balance, I would also like to point out this isn't good for people with disabilities who can't navigate websites etc or in home displays to not be able to see balances.

Can somebody help I just bought a property supplied by OSO I get keys a weeks time. Right problem is there is no electric meter or main isolator. I spoke to OSO today to try sort things before moving or get an idea of time scale. They said it’s a classed a new connection. 25 to 30 days for application then date after this time for installation. I also spoke to northern power they say it’s just re energise as power still there. Nether wants to take any responsibility for problem and won’t help. I cannot go to another supplier as they won’t except till meter goes in. At moment don’t know what I’m meant to do I have emailed OVO they not interested as email not registered to account of property they say. I can’t open account yet till I get into the house. Beyond a joke how stuff works. End of day it’s not my fault no meter in I didn’t take it out why didn’t they just take main fuse out. At least could have got northern power in to connect up. This subject has been covered before but slightly ambiguous outcomes.  I have had to install a new 3-phase supply at a domestic property, which was (over) rated by our electricians as needing a 3-phase 315A supply. The size of supply was based around having 3 electric car chargers and large heat pumps for the house and some large outbuildings.  I couldn’t find any supplier who would provide a domestic contract on a CT meter, so have got a business contract with Eon until November 24. This contract has painful capacity fees and standing charges and isn’t very competitive on KWh rates either.  I would like to revert to a domestic contract in November this year, so would love to clarify the following : Will Ovo take on this account and revert to a domestic contract with existing CT meter? Will I be able to export any excess energy generated by solar panels?If my existing meter is not supported, would Ov

I have been trying to get my new smart meter verified so that i can submit my FIT export readings for nearly 18 months.  For the whole of this year I have had emails and phone calls bounced back and forth with demands for the same information over and over again with no-one really caring or taking ownership, including the numerous people from the ‘complaints’ team.  Today on my second call of the day, i was fortunate to connect to Stephen from Squad A team  What an absolute gem.  He listened, understood what I was trying to achieve, explained the processes and jargon to me and talked me through the whole process and achieved what the numerous people I’ve dealt with before him were unable or unwilling to do.  I finally feel like this issue, which has caused me many sleepless nights and lots of stress is coming to a conclusion, all thanks to Stephen for actually caring.  Please, please could someone pass on my gratitude to him (I did thank him on the phone but felt so relieved i ended

I'm on PAYG so downloaded the app to both my phone and tablet (both android)   I can access my account through the tablet but the phone just gets the popup message OVO has stopped, does anyone know how to fix this?

How do I acquire historic statements specifically 2017-2021?

I need a detailed explanation of my bill as my gas meter has been out of action for three months and I am having a new account issued with an ‘actual’ electricity reading and an ‘estimated’ gas reading, the lady in the overseas call centre was pleasant but completely ineffectual, his don’t get to speak to someone in the U.K., do j gave to call at a certain time/date ?   

Hello, I moved to a new place on Oct 2023.I was getting my bills monthly with the title Flat # occupier and I used to pay it through Revolut.2 months ago I started getting my bill under my name.Unfortunately, OVO did not take into account the monthly bills I was paying for the flat # occupier and are telling me I’m 700 pounds in debt.I called the helpline whom told me to send an email including the flat # occupier account number and proof of my payments etc. And I did. But there was no response at all and my bill is just increasing.I then googled the email to contact for OvoEnergy and forwarded my initial email and yet their was no response.Its been more than 8 weeks and I have no response and I recently got an email stating they will send me to the debt collector.I have been paying 100 pounds per month now for that account, but I’m not willing to pay the 600+ pounds from earlier that I have already paid!I do not
