My OVO energy

Hi Everyone,  3 times this morning I have been onto the payment plan website and have put my account number and email address and it said I would be sent a link - 2 hours later and still waiting for a link ?Can anyone help

We have been complaining to OVO for months about how much we have been charged for our utilities - £292 month and the amount they say we were using crazy.  We went to give a reading and it was even higher.  So they advised us to wait until our new SMART meter is fitted.  After 3 weeks our usage is at £71 and they have said the readings have been accurate and being sent through fine, but we obviously have to wait another 3 weeks.This is disgusting, there are only 3 people in the property and we are out all day 5/6 days a week, but they argued that the readings were right.  At one point they charged us £700 for a months’ gas usage.  We just want a refund with interest as soon as possible, they have put the account on hold but how long is this going to take as if they don’t sort this out asap we will be reporting it to OFGEM and gain legal advice.

These air to air heat pumps, I’ve heard they’re noisy. Is that right?

Since the price increases on 1st April my app & online account don't update as quickly as they did before. I know it always does take a few days to catch up after a  change in tariff prices so I ignored it for a week but it still takes until the evening to update the day befores usage & readings a month on. That includes the meter reading which is taken at midnight. Is this just me or did this change on 1st April & meant to be like this going forward?

Hi folks, I am trying to have a redundant THTC meter removed from my house and OVO seem to be refusing to do this. Can anyone help explain what I should do? Some background info below: We moved to a property in March last year in the west of Scotland. The property has two meters with a THTC setup running storage heaters. We are getting the storage heaters removed in February and an air source heat pump installed.  Once this work has been carried out there will be nothing running from the RadioTelemeter (THTC) meter. I have contacted OVO by phone yesterday to request that this meter be removed once it is no longer in use. The person I spoke with said that OVO would not do this because doing so would stop the other (ordinary) meter working. They weren’t able to explain why this would be the case. HiWe switched to OVO at the beginning of April but the switch still hasn't completed. We can't use the app to submit meter readings and the website keeps saying 'you're direct debit will be confirmed on..'Any suggestions?Thank you

Can anyone help answer why my bills keep changing and why I have a huge balance adjustment on my account suddenly? I’ve been paying £75 direct debit for my two bed flat but received an email recently telling me it was going up to £452 a month.  Shocked, I logged into my account to find all my bills from February were £300+ even though I could swear it was only recently I was in credit.  I’ve checked back on my emails and as recently as May I was £95.62 in credit.  I logged on to check my bills again today and now they’ve all changed again, dropping to around £150 a month but I’m still in a similar amount of debt because there’s a new Balance Adjustment for £975.58.  There’s no details about what this balance adjustment is or a breakdown at all and no explanation for why all my bills are now different again.  I phoned the support team who said it’s something to do with SSE but they couldn’t give a bre

Just very curious as to how I managed to get into a £450 debt transferring to OVO when I have been using PAYG - literally Pay As You Go - top up meter for years??  Any ideas?  I do not have any other meters, accounts or residences, and I live in a studio flat alone!

Hi everyone, I’ve just discovered that I’ve been paying OVO energy bills under the wrong address/account for the past year. My actual flat is Apartment 13, but the account I’ve been paying for is Apartment 14. I always found my bills unusually high—even when I was away from the flat for a whole month with everything switched off. Today I noticed there are two account numbers linked to Apartment 14 in my OVO app, and none for Apartment 13, which confirmed my suspicions. Has anyone experienced something similar? What should I expect from OVO in terms of resolving this and possibly getting a refund? Any advice would be really appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I seem to have started receiving paper statements all of a sudden, which I really don’t want. Please can you let me know how to switch these off?

Hi hope, some one  can put  some light on this matter went to the local spare shop and put £200 on my top up key got the receipts put the key in the meter  says token accepted  but the £200 didn't  show up ?So went to the post office  and they say that they don't take ovo top up keys  no more can someone  tell me why thanks  

Has anyone got any idea what is going on! Was with SSE PAYG and received an OVO card. Put £20 gas on worked fine. Said I had £8, £8 emergency credit and the rest owed. This came out of the £20. Used the gas then went to use the emergency and the meter said I owed £28. Put £40 on today, I have now put my card in again to use my gas and it's now saying I'm another £38 in debt!!! I don't understand what is going on. I'm a single mum with a 2 year and had no gas now for a month. I have to wait until I have the money to top it up and all they are doing is taking my money and I still have no gas. Any advice would be helpful. I will contact them in the morning. I'm so angry I have to wait another week for my wages to put more money on! 

Hi, I currently have only £4 left of emergency electric credit from £20. Do I have to top up to get out of emergency credit? I only have £15 which only takes it to £19., any advice welcome 

My elderly parents have a 2-phase system with 2 economy 7 meters fitted. Phase 1 bills both day & night units and phase 2 bills night units only. I cannot get OVO to understand that the day units on phase 2 will always read 1 because this is a night only meter. When I provide meter readings they are rejected because the system is expecting a value greater than 1 on the day reading. OVO sent a meter reader earlier in the year and he did not understand that the reading was only 1. I have tried without success to get OVO to understand and act upon this difficulty and so I am hoping that members of this forum may be able to give me some advice.

Hi, I am looking to sign up to the £7 a month boiler servicing scheme. 2 questions. Is it a good scheme ?How long after signing up can you get your boiler serviced ? TIA 

I've been told OVO have opened up their 'customer care package' scheme for free electric blankets, is the criteria really strict or are is it not true? I'm on low income (benefits) with 2 children (10&2) have physical and mental illnesses and all i get offered is financial advice.Is it because I'm pay as you go so don't have any debt with them?

could someone tell me what are the Regulations that OVO requires all its representatives to comply with in the Code of Conduct please. 

I could not locate my gas meter as I have just moved in and wasn't sure where it was, but I had to provide opening meter readings, so I estimated the gas reading based on the reading on the final bill from the last tenants. I have now located my gas meter however, and my estimate was too high. Can I correct the opening gas reading I gave to you?

Having installed our solar panels, we applied to receive the OVO Smart energy guarantee payments and sent the requested initial export meter reading on the 12th July, which will be seven weeks ago tomorrow. We were told that we would receive the welcome email within four weeks from receiving this initial meter reading.Is it normal to have to wait this long? I cannot speak to the SEG team by phone and any email sent just gets a standard reply that a response will be within 15 days.Getting frustrated now Malcolm
