My smart meter requires a pin code. What is it? What is a VEND code?

What's the current status with OVO?Obviously I basically want to know:- If I sign up now do I get offered a free smart meter installation- If so, will it be SMETS2?- If not, is there a scheduled date for when this is likely to be available?Many thanks,Rich

I had avoided installation of 1st gen smart meters for compatibility issues. Now OVO offering installation of 2nd generation meters which also acts as an export meter for my FIT for solar panels, I decided to have the smart meter installed in September. All seemed well, but after nearly 4 months, there is no benefit to be seen. OVO are NOT able to get the smart readings for Electricity from the very first day. The Gas readings seem to be working. The display unit in the house only showed GAS data. After much chasing, OVO sent an engineer to investigate on 20th Dec. The smart meter was replaced with a new one. After 3 days there is still no data for electricity and I suspect the smart readings are not being read. Now, the GAS data is corrupt as my display unit inside suggests that I am consuming £80-£90 worth of gas EVERY DAY !!! We are only 2 person household. I have no idea what kinds of smart readings are being fed but it is an alarming situation. The

We announced some exciting news yesterday after our bid for Spark Energy's customers was successful (after Spark announced that they stopped trading last week). See Ofgem's statement here What does this mean? Well in short, Spark and OVO customers won't see a huge amount change. we are having a new kitchen fitted with lots of high tec appliances.I have been told by my electrician that because the new hob draws power of 48 amps we need to have our service head upgraded and the tails also need upgrading.He told me to contact my energy supplier to arrange this but I’m having trouble getting through.Who do I contact to sort this service head out for me if I can't speak to OVo?Appreciate any adviceLori

Hello, Please suggest how to go about reading when meter reading go beyond 99999. for example my pervous month reading was (11 Dec): 99944 this month 3rd Jan: 00276. In this case while updating the meter reading how should take this ahead. Please suggest. thanks & regards, Praful

I was like a lot of people with 100's of questions such as "What is the range like? How long does it take to charge?" But from spending £150 a month on fuel for my Fiesta I thought to myself I will risk it for a biscuit on the range so fast forward to April 2017 I purchased my first EV which was a 2014 Nissan Leaf Acenta. After owning the vehicle for a few months with people saying it was the worst mistake I could have made. I have just had an email asking for meter readings but I've just had a smart meter installed, do I still need to give the meter reading or will it automatically send one in?

I can get the number of units consumed but not have not yet been able to find a meter reading for the day units and the nights units? Also what is the time that the low rate units start and stop?

Hi, I moved away from ovo to Scottish power last year and had a major issue around meter readings. SP said ovo use first gen meters which don’t match to other suppliers so the usual ovo reading didn’t match anything with SP. I’m now returning to ovo and I’m concerned that the same thing will happen only in reverse. Can someone please tell me which readings I need from the meters please. Also please don’t send me to the usual link on the ovo website as it doesn’t tell me anything about specific readings. For info, for gas, SP want the volume cubic meters reading. I’m sure ovo prefer the imp kWh reading. Is this correct. Many thanks.

I've always been a little suspicious of my meter readings and changing to a smart meter has not altered that. There are just two of us living in a four bed house. We cook with electric and use gas for water/central heating. We also have solar for water which reduces the bill substantially through the summer. However, our DD has always been between £150 and £178 per month, whereas most of our friends are paying sub £100. We've recently compared bills, usage and costs per kWh with friends who houses and lifestyles are comparable to ours and their DDs range from £60 - £80 pm. How can we be so far adrift? I would like my meters checked to ensure that they are measuring correctly. Can this be arranged?
