Does OVO still have an energy fund that can be applied to, to help with an existing energy debt? I have tried applying to British Gas for a grant for non-customers and they have said that they cannot help as OVO has its own energy fund.

No, that is the support package. The energy fund is able to help customers write off energy debts.
At the moment, that would be the customer support package as it’s a better option. The regular fund will likely return after that closes. Try the CSP for now though!
I have already applied for the CSP, not better as I have a debt of around £400 and the CSP has provided a free boiler service and electric throw but no monetary relief.
I see. In that case, try calling 0800 069 9831 as you might have more options there.

What is the OVO fund?
The OVO Fund is a fund to help people who’ve fallen behind with their energy payments to OVO, fallen into debt and who want to become more financially stable in future.
When is a customer eligible for this service?
- They have, or have had, an account with OVO Energy.
- They have run up a debt on your gas or electricity account of at least £150.
- Their annual household income is £16,190 or less.
