After installing solar and a battery system I have changed supplier from Ovo to Octopus. However, my Ohme charger still thinks my tariff is Charge Anytime and will not allow me to change the tariff. Ohme say this is an issue that Ovo need to resolve by releasing my charger from their Kaluza platform. Two conversations with Ovo have resulted in two answers: First convo: “Since my energy supply account has been closed there is no reason why I should not be able to enter a new tariff.” Second convo: “We are awaiting an upgrade to the app. Until we get it you are stuck. Sorry, we can do no more.” Sadly, this situation with each blaming the other was predictable but that makes it no less frustrating! Is there any wisdom in this community that may shed light on the matter?

Can anyone explain what’s going on here? Opening balance was £335, we used around £90 worth of electric/gas combined (£66 government payment was taken off this, hence the £22 charge), I paid £150 so by my reckoning the balance should have gone up by around £125. It hasn’t though - they seem to have then deducted the £66 again. Does anyone know why? Do I need to contact them or will it right itself?

April 2022 I moved in to my current property. Boost was currently there so I called them and set up the account. Endless of top up problems since; topping up someone else’s account because I was told I was given wrong top up numbers. This was supposedly corrected a few times but then someone else was topping up my account. I found out a few months ago that they actually have me registered for TWO addresses the first time I moved in they essentially registered me at the wrong house number when they supposedly fixed it, instead of changing the address they set up a second account. Contacted CEO who then got the exec team to contact me, who again supposedly fixed it, which they didn’t. Now, 15 months later, after winning an Ombudsman case, Boost is meant to have resolved this by 29th June 2023, and compensation to be provided. They still haven’t. Hello, I am about to become an EV owner for the first time with a Tesla Y and looking for affordable EV home charger options. Looking at a VCHRGD Seven and wondered if this is ok? Tesla keep telling me go Tesla as better but is it actually? Also don't fully understand how Tesla / EV home charger apps integrate with each other so is that where I might get a more seamless service i.e. Tesla with Tesla or doesn't it make much difference in practice?

Today is my first day with Ovo and I’m struggling! I specifically joined Ovo to avail of Charge Anytime but I keep being told by the app that something went wrong when it tries to link the accounts. I’ve tried uninstalling/reinstalling it and the Ovo app, can log on successfully online without any issues, but this issue persists. It’s just a little frustrating and I need this working before I start heavily using my car from Wednesday. Any suggestions?

Monday morning meter not displaying I did try to phone OVo and it’s a terrible service trying to get help! Think I’ve got to give up

There's lots of talk about electricity prices coming down at the beginning of July 2023. We're stuck with THTC, despite asking repeatedly for an economy 7 meter, and have had no information about a reduction in the prices. Has anyone heard anything from OVO?? I have a horrible feeling their charges are not going to come down....

I have a PodPoint charger which doesn’t have many bells and whistles, not very smart and isn’t compatible with Charge Anytime…. However the app now has a great new lookup function which gives the CO2 forecast for Today and Tomorrow for my region. Previously I’ve only found apps that give a figure for (I assume) the whole country or just a snapshot of the regions.

Why does OVO, where possible, not request a photograph of the existing meters in advance of the Engineer’s visit. This would surely prevent disappointment to customers being told on the day, that an existing meter cannot be changed for whatever reason.?

So OVO Energy are my supplier (not by choice) and I moved into my house on the 27th Feb 2023. Setup my electric account and didn't have time to get the gas done in the same call. Later ended up with a second account (told they couldn't add gas to electric account). Later checked and noticed meter wasn't sending readings so went to do a manual one. Noticed that the serial number on the OVO energy account was wrong so reported it straight away. This was reported on the 7th March 2023. A case was raised apparently for a historic change from SSE and I am told there is no time scale for this being resolved. The issue is holding me from moving supplier and OVO are doing nothing to fix this. OVO say SSE need to fix this but OVO are my gas supplier so surely they should rectify this if there's a deadlock or actually just do a meter exchange and sort the issue out! Will the OVO IHD unit be able to display my Gas usage if my Gas supplier is BG rather than OVO?

I've just noticed that my meter hasn't been sending readings since 24th May. It was an OVO-fitted SMETS1 that had the upgrade to allow it to be "almost" fully SMART. Any ideas why there's no readings being sent, and other than swearing at it is there anything I can do? Kinda making the entire idea worthless if I've gotta keep sending readings again. Any issues on the network that I should be aware of that may be causing this?

I’ve just been moved from a higher Fixed rate to a lower Standard Variable rate under the Gov’s EPG scheme. However when I checked my latest payments OVO have charged me two £30 Exit Fees. I got in contact with the Help Centre online and they replied that ‘this is an error we are aware of, all we need to do is raise a case to billing, as you account is under account management 27’. I’m still waiting on billing to contact me. I’ve put this on the Forum in case others are affected. Check your latest payment carefully!

Hi Guy’s, My OVO contract i was on was coming to a end, i was offered a v38, when i phoned which took a hour and 12 minutes to get someone. I spoke to a very nice person who was very hard to understand and was from abroad, i really struggled to make her out, anyway she put me on a v39, i asked why and was told that was all there was. I asked if there was much difference n the prices, was told there was not much. Now i wanted to know if it was a year contract, and if i could just wait till the 1st July 23 to see if Ovo will drop the price, but she kept disappearing to speak to someone, and i was speaking to her for 25 minutes it was soul destroying, and i had to leave for my hospital appointment, all i wanted was off, so i am none the wiser. Can any of you guy’s tell me if the v39 is more expensive than the v38, also if it is a year only contract and can i leave now within the cooling period and wait to see if the July price is lower. Hello, Are there regional / location / DD Aligned PAYG OVO 1/7/23 unit rates published yet? (Only generic Ofgem National rates speculation, observed) Unit rates and standing charges can vary greatly.

I don't know what to think. My second most expensive appliance according to the app's graph is "heating". Well, my 2 radiators have been switched off, as in literally switched off from the wall switch for the last 2 months, so how is it still showing that they're being used? Are we being charged wrongly or is it that the appliance breakdown is bogus?? This is this week and last. It says last week we used over 4 quid in heating but it was 100% off! Disconnected!! How can that be then?? It also says the heating readings are calculated based upon the gas we use but we don't have any gas supply at home and the app profile has that info. Is this appliance breakdown just a gimmick? Thanks
