Monday morning meter not displaying 

I did try to phone OVo and it’s a terrible service trying to get help! 
Think I’ve got to give up

Hi @Coldascold - welcome to this customer forum. Which meter is blank exactly? The display in the house or the meter itself?

Their offices don’t open until later.


Morning, it’s the house display. It’s just flickering all the time, I’m unable to know if anyone’s tampering or using my electric 

Then the meter outside keeps asking for a password 🙃I have not set one up( 

Ive called OVO several times and can’t get nowhere with them :(

 


If the IHD is flickering, that’s more likely a fault with it. Can you explain further?

As for the password, what kind of password does the meter want? If it’s an engineer password, please do not attempt to guess it as you will likely trigger tamper alarms.

If it’s a Privacy PIN, the SMETS Command Disable Privacy PIN can be used to remove and reset it. OVO needs to send that to the meter for you.
