April 2022 I moved in to my current property. Boost was currently there so I called them and set up the account. Endless of top up problems since; topping up someone else’s account because I was told I was given wrong top up numbers. This was supposedly corrected a few times but then someone else was topping up my account.

I found out a few months ago that they actually have me registered for TWO addresses

the first time I moved in they essentially registered me at the wrong house number  when they supposedly fixed it, instead of changing the address they set up a second account.

Contacted CEO who then got the exec team to contact me, who again supposedly fixed it, which they didn’t.

Now, 15 months later, after winning an Ombudsman case, Boost is meant to have resolved this by 29th June 2023, and compensation to be provided.

They still haven’t.

I am so very close now to going to a solicitor and take you to court for having me responsible for SOMEONE ELSES property.

It’s getting beyond a joke now so I have found a no win no fee solicitor willing to take this case on and he is very confident we would win and huge compensation pay out.

However, I want an easy life so please can someone get in touch with me and sort this out. If not then I will have no other choice.

Thanks

Hi @Pinkhaze000 your post sounds quite a pain although this being a public forum, no one here will have access to your account and it’s mainly other customers trying to offer advice. I’m not sure there’s anything to suggest to help.

I’m desperately hoping they might see it, I’ve tried everything else :(

I suppose I better just get the ball rolling in that case. Thank you for letting me know.

the address I’m registered to are unemployed council tenants and if they clock up debt in my name (which is likely) I am buggered :(

Be careful. No Win No Fee lawyers make their money by taking a huge slice out of any payouts - significantly more than other types (and will charge YOU if you back out early). If you have a home insurance policy that includes some kind of family legal protection, that’s the cheaper way to use such a service. The law firm I use gets paid by my insurance provider, avoiding that issue completely.

We will let the forum moderators know about this thread. However, as it’s Boost related they might not be able to do as much as they could if it was OVO related.

Thank you for your advice, that's much appreciated.

The case would be more to get the address issue resolved as opposed to me wanting a financial gain to be honest, I don't want money I just want it rectified :(
As a last resort but I will look into the insurance side of things and see where I stand.

Thank you for your responses and help/advice,, I'm very grateful.

Hi @Pinkhaze000

I’m sorry to hear about all of this, it sounds like quite the annoyance.

Blastoise186 was correct in thinking that we don’t have access to Boost systems unfortunately , and therefore can’t access your accounts here, as the Boost brand is separate under the OVO brand. I know it sounds like you’ve exhausted the Boost support but I have linked to the help page anyway, just in case: https://www.boostpower.co.uk/help/.

I really hope that they get this resolved for you soon!
