I am currently on THTC but with a single tariff for both meters as I don't have storage heaters or any other timed appliances.  I am due to have a smart meter installed on Tuesday which I am very pleased about but concerned that the installation will not go ahead because of the 2 consumer units.  Do the the installation engineers carry the necessary parts to connect both of these into the meter?

why should car charging cost less than me heating my house?

Just lately our charge anytime is still charging after the set “ Ready by” time.We’ve set 6am as a ready by time yet the car is still charging at 06:51 after not charging at all between 18:00 and 06:00.No changes have been made to the app.

...and it’s driving us mad.  Every day at 03:15am it beeps five times, then pauses a while...then beeps five times again.  Anyone got any idea why?!

Further to a previous post of mine (that seems to have been removed).…Ten days after having faulty S1 meters exchanged for all singing all dancing S2 meters I am still without any smart data, and getting nowhere getting it looked into.They sent data for three days, and the IHD was showing data, then both the readings and the IHD information just ceased simultaneously after those three days. I'm just being told to wait the six weeks - despite them working fine for three days - and now even the HAN signal strength on the meter has disappeared. I'm starting to lose the will to go on with these things. Even the complaints department just effectively said "wait six weeks now go away".

I received three government vouchers for the £400 Energy Support Scheme as follows:. loaded £75 on 29/12/200, £58 on 29/12/2022 and £67 on 14/01/2023.I have called SSE/Ovo (I was transferred to Ovo, I didn’t ask for it) several times and they are  always giving me the run around.Today, after they dropped the call on me four times, they finally inform me that they can’t do anything about it as the scheme had expired and that I should channel all my inquiries to a government department they have refused to name.I need advice on how to proceed.

  One of the rooms we are struggling to heat is our master bedroom. It has a dressing room as part of the space and has 2 Climavent radiators. It also has 2 external walls. From day one with OVO I have been able to see annual data and comparisons, rather than daily useage.It would appear that this functionality has been removed in preference for daily data returned by smart metres. I for one am not intending to micro-manage my energy consumption and am happy to check long term deviations and so spot increasing annual costs so I can budget accordingly.When questioned I am told this is probably due to issues at my end - wrong browser, clogged cache, and so on. Nonsense. You tell me that by clicking on usage that the options to see year on year comparisons should appear - they do not. When I go to the help centre and ask for my annual statement there is a check your yearly energy use box, which when clicked on re-routes me back to my monthly energy use in and endless loop. So broken links?Update issues?Is this something other folk are hav

Can normal electricians help me with my OVO smart meter or does it have to be an OVO employee? Just wondering as I don’t think it is working properly.

Unbelievable. So I moved out and my daughter set up an account with OVO at my former address - new name and new bank details. Sounds simple, no, they opened an account with her details and have now closed the account.She has now received a letter to the house addressed to The Occupier, quoting a variable tariff when she specifically asked for a fixed rate tariff. Am not holding my breath for the response.  

I have an EV charger but also solar panels so Charge Anytime is not available to me.  I think I have to wait until OVO have worked out how to estimate the amount taken from the grid to charge my EV.  Is this understanding correct?  Is there no tariff that as an EV driver which is beneficial for me?

This is very unusual, but if I log into the OVO website using Firefox, I do not get the same offers within the Offers page than if I do when I log in using Chrome or Edge.I have cleared the OVO cookies and cache from Firefox, closed the browser and reopened it, make it makes no difference.Anyone else had this issue?

In the Offers section, I have the option to add Charge Anytime, but my charger will not be installed until the 7th August.Does it make any difference if I add Charge Anytime now, or should I wait until after the charger is installed?

Hi all,Just had an EV charger installed at my MiL’s for me & my wife’s cars and would like to switch my MiLs plan to OVO from Scottish Power as I don’t believe they offer cheap rate EV charging.She hasn’t got a smart meter yet, my question is- can we request a Smart Meter fitting as part of the switch process, or do we switch then get a Smart Meter, or get one fitted then switch?I know what we need to do, just not sure in what order!thanks in advance

To permit a lower DD than OVO systems currently allow for V2G active customers (to reflect what the house really uses) is to  utilise  a simple “V2G flag” to allow half (or any sensible fraction) of the computed DD to be set. This will go a long way to help set an affordable payment, especially helping the vulnerable who struggle to raise extra funds to pay this forced inflated amount.

Hi all. Sorry, I'm only able to ask questions here atm. I made a phone call and the line at the other end (after a considerable wait but at least able to hear the wait music) was far too poor to be able to hear anything. I think she was trying to suggest chat, hard to tell with the line so very bad, but despite now trying 3 times it keeps telling me there's no one to talk to me, so phone in. Round in circles. Frustrating to say the least. Anyway...…Our current fix ends in sept, 7 days before the new price cap will be due. There are some fixes which for various reasons we are thinking about, but as you can guess they are eye watering! However, I have some queries about them so I'm hoping there are some OVO employed bods around here somewhere. The drive tariff is ridiculous quite frankly, but I'd think about it if we can find out if the Anytime add on is still available, and how much would the price be on that when smart charging. My SMETS1 Secure Pipit In Home Display (IHD) has a persistent problem in which it is unable to display gas usage statistics.On power up the IHD display unit powers up as normal and connects to the HAN. After 2-3 minutes it downloads data from the external gas & electricity smart meters and then successfully displays current energy usage and yesterday’s consumption stats for both gas and electricity. Everything behaves as expected apart from the “History” display section. The “History” display for electricity usage is 100% fine. This shows up-to-date electricity usage stats. All is as expected.The “History” display for gas consumption however is out of date and faulty. This doesn’t show any hour-by-hour gas consumption figures for today (only the cumulative total). The history figures shown are those for a 12-month period which ended many months ago and the display has remained “stuck” in this incorrec

Hello, I've just joined OVO from British Gas as of today and I've been asked to provide a meter reading. I'm not sure whether I need to do this, as I have a smart meter, but if I do, how do i do it? I thought I'd managed it, but the readings are not being accepted 

I am asking this on behalf of a relative who is in her 70’s and partially sighted.She replaced her night storage heaters over a year ago to Rointe kyros heaters.She unfortunately did not speak to SSE /OVO about this change so has been on the Standard SuperDeal tarriff all winter and so has been paying 44.55p per KWh to use the heaters during the day.   Her bills have are not affordable.   I only found out about this when I called her on the phone the other week and she said she was feeling rather depressed, because she has just been asked to increase her monthly direct debit.  Having looked at her bills, I suggested she should be on the simpler energy tariff at 30p per KWh.    As I am not the account holder I asked her to call customer services to help with this.They said she could not move to this tariff.   After an hour on the phone, she was very confused by the whole situation.My question is; can she move to the simpler energy tariff or does she

I have MELCloud linked to my Mitubishi Ecodan air source heat pump.Recently I lost the internet connection and cannot establish a reconnection.My connection is via Access mode as my router does not have a WPS button.I am able to complete the process for reconnection correctly but it does not connect.I have previously been successful and there are no changes to my home network settings.I am wondering if;the MELCoud server is down?or if I have a non standard password to my home wifi network - it includes a ’ and has a space in it?Any help with reconnecting to the internet would be useful.

We all know the price of energy is gas and oil is increasing and for some reason the price of renewable electricity is being hiked up too but why is my Standing charge going to increase from 22p to 37p when my current plan expires?  This seems like extortionate opportunism by OVO and i would like them to justify it .  The online option to contact them has been removed so I am trying this forum for an answer.
