So….I clearly should have spent time reading this forum instead assuming the OVO offers wouldn’t be so restrictive. I am having an Ohme Pod installed next week and recently changed from a Tesla to a Genesis GV60. I’ve just gone to complete the form to take advantage of the Charge Anytime offer in the app and have now discovered (after arriving here and reading a couple of posts) that I have possibly the most completely incompatible charger and vehicle combo! I chose Ohme as I have to have a specific brand as it will be linked to an Allstar account.Unless I am being really dumb, can anyone kindly confirm that there is no way I’m going to be able to access the discounted rate? My charger is also being installed on the 15th, which seems to be the cutoff date also??

for nearly 2 years, I had an Inda Pro charger, and used their legacy Web app for charging.  I had ZERO issues since being forced to switch to the new app, and let OVO ANYTIME schedule charging, i have had constant issues the latest one, the OVO app, says my Car is not connected.  Yet both the charger app, and the Carr App show it is.if I leave it, the car will start charging under the anytime schedule, but my app says its not connected What a junk piece of software this is, please Ovo sort out the interface between APPS!!!!!!

According to the online dashboard, the usage for yesterday is triple to what it was according to the smart meter. The online dashboard suggests we have used 31kWh yesterday, but the IHD says 11kWh.Any idea what is going on?The online portal also suggests we should increase the direct by almost 3 times, but this is not reflected in the actual usage.

Well after some deliberation I've left OVO for Octopus.Reasons are:Inability to run Charge Anytime and Battery Boost simultaneously (...soon)Rebate system for 'add ons', making it difficult to reconcile usage and cost.  Compare with Octopus' overnight flat rate of 7p per kWh.The Ohme saga.Givenergy EV charger incompatibility with Charge Anytime. (...soon!)Limited customer support (has anyone at OVO called Octopus customer helpline?)Handing over control of charging the battery to OVO/Kaluza rather than controlling it myself. With respect to the final point, even though I left OVO a week ago, OVO/Kaluza still control my battery! This results in any programmed setting (the obvious one is to charge up overnight) is immediately overwritten and deleted by OVO/Kaluza.Those of you using Battery Boost and choose to jump ship please note.At what point do we enter complaint/ compensation territory?

Hi,I’ve been trying to setup Charge Anytime to connect with my BMW X5 50e.I don’t have a compatible charger but the car is listed as compatible.Ive downloaded the Charge Anytime App and successfully logged in. It all works up until the point where I need to log into my BMW acccount to give permission. The App appears to direct me towards the BMW USA site (I’m in the UK). I’ve setup an account for the USA site to see if this helps but now just get an error.Ive logged into my BMW UK account outside of the app to see if I can give permissions but can’t find anything.Ive emailed the Charge Anytime team but the only response was to contact BMW. BMW customer services have no idea what I’m talking about. I emailed OVO back and explained that and I think the issue is probably to do with Kaluza or Enode and where the app is directing me.Any help would be appreciated.

Hello all,I have a new smart meter installed to replace two very old meters recently. After the installation, I realised that the hot water tank (again old style) couldn’t be turn on as it was during the peak time. Also the engineer at site said this would’ve always been the case which I didn’t understand. Because with the two old meters (one peak and one off-peak), I was able to turn on and off the hot water anytime I wanted manually. Now I feel like that I lose my control over the hot water, and it messed up with my lifestyle. I thought to have the economy 9 plan it would be cheaper to turn on the hot water at off-peak hours but didn’t know I won’t be able to turn on when outside the hours. So this is really not the plan for me.I’ve contacted OVO a few times already regarding this issue, as before the new meter it was completely fine, so clearly the new meter stops the hot water to be on when it’s peak time.OVO responses vary, some said to change economy 9 to flat-rate (single-rate)

Just updated app to 2.2.0. Was working yesterday without problem. Today the app says I am charging away from home (I’m not) and does not show anything on the dial (it did yesterday). Anyone else having problems? - That said it has just charged to maximum.

Is the mercedes EQA compatible with the charge anytime  program yet?

I currently have boiler cover with ovo. I’m looking at the new tarrifs and it seems cheaper to take a new tarriff with boiler cover combined. It seems if you already have boiler cover you cannot have this tarriff. Why?

I am trying to get a smart meter installed but was told when they attended that there was a problem with the earth wire so couldn't install it. I rent so reported what was said to my landlord & they sent an electrician but I was told that uk power network would contact me but I never heard from them. I really have no idea and don't want to book another insulation just for the same thing to happen again. Anyone able to tell me what the problem it please. .

I have an OHME charger for my EV. OVO emailed me and told me that they were stopping use of the OHME app and I needed to install the OVO charge anytime app. I followed their instructions to the letter.3 days running I have tried to charge my car and the OVO app tells me it will be ready by 0700 - scheduled to ensure I get the 7p/kwh. 3 days running my EV has not charged.I have emailed OVO several times but they have not bothered to contact me (quite how they are number 1 for customer service I do not know) even though I have to,d them that I am disabled and they will incarcerate me in my own home as I rely on my car to get out and about.can any one help please? Has anyone else had problems switching apps?

Hi all,my car is not charging for the last 4 days. our electricity providers are ova. anyone else face the same problemThanks

Smart meter might be doing an update, the IHD has changed from, showing some stuff, to saying waiting, is that due to an update of some type being in process ? Power also went off for a few seconds at the same time as this new message appeared, coincidence, or expected behaviour ?Smart meter was recently installed, so assume it might be doing some kind of update after a few weeks.

Up until the recent update of the Charge Anytime (CA) app (Jun 25 v 2.1.16) I've always been able to day charge my ev using solar energy from my panels and CA displays solar charging. Now it seems that CA won't recognise solar charging only and insists on adding/topping up with Boost function from the grid, delivered at the full day rate. The only thing that has changed is the app update for CA - any suggestions?

I am owed money by OVO after closing my account when moving..I have sent pictures by email to them of final meter readings as asked for by call centre now I have an email asking me to call the call centre to give my final meter readings who have asked me to email pictures of my final meter reading.Any one able to help with next step please as it is nearly £400 owed to me when they took over SSE whom i was with before this shower came along..

I’ve just had a call from a 3rd party (I didn’t catch there name) asking if they could arrange to come look at my pay as you go meter as OVO had requested this. I asked why and they said an issue had flagged that they wanted looking at. I explained that it was working fine and asked what issue had flagged. She said she did not have this information and asked if I would agree to a visit. She said the planning team would ring me with possible dates. Is this a legit call? I’m not sure why it would be a scam but shouldn’t OVO have told me if there is an issue? Has anyone else had this call?

Hello,My partner has resided at their address for numerous years and has always paid their utility bills via their own bank account. Despite this, the account was set up under my partner’s ex’s name, and my partner was supposed to be listed as a ‘joint holder’. My partner’s ex moved out years ago and was domestically abusive to my partner, meaning there is no contact. We still receive e-mails and letters in their name. My partner has tried to contact OVO to have this corrected but was refused. We are worried about this as his account is usually in credit, and we may be moving house soon in the future. If OVO are refusing to change this, what can we do? Thank you,Nini

Anytime App wouldn't find my EV tonight but did yesterday. The Ohme and OVO instruction emails say slightly different things.Does the ovo Anytime App need the ohme app and account to find my ev?

I have now completed, as per the email, to move from the Ohme set up to OVO charge anytime.I have two compatible EV’s, both Audi.I have linked both up to the app okay.I have charged both cars this weekend, but only one is showing on the savings tab and only one has updated.I reconnected the EV that the savings weren’t showing by removing the EV then adding it. I then got a different account number?I am sure that EV will be showing in the savings tab when I charge that one but the other one won’tHow can I be sure both EVs are charging at the 7p??

I have an OVO online account and I would like to set one up for my Mum who is with OVO as well
