Changes to this with the draw may have demotivated some of us. Initially we got significant credit awards. Since the new draw I have won £2 only on a few occasions and on three others got zero even with use of around 5%. Should I just pull out or not bother to try to limit use during the specified window?

I've only missed out on £2 once.
I don't limit my usage now as im a low user anyway.
So I stay with it and if I get £2 bonus and if I don't so be it.

It’s up to you what you think you should do it’s a bit hard for me to me as l work funny hours. l try to do things like washing at a later time if l can. and ironing different times as well.

Its worth staying with Power Move as there no chance to lose, just to gain if you are able to reduce energy during the allowcated time window. Over time of course the criterea has changed and become more tough to meet but its still worth if for any saving made. Hope you are able to achieve a few more bonuses!

I have managed to achieve the £10 credit for using less than 2% during peak periods up until this month. Now that has unfortunately finished and although I have also won £2 each month except for one it isn’t really a worthwhile incentive. Waiting to see how interesting the new power move flex will be.

For me it is about using energy at off peak times for ethical reasons. The financial gain is a bonus as much as an incentive. Often look at the app to see how if it is green time. If red I will think twice before using energy.

Fully agree with David, you are getting something for nothing. I have also only got £2 once in spite of being told I was in the top few percent. I must admit though that it has diminished my enthusiasm.

I don’t take part in Power Move so it’s not really my concern but if everyone pulled out they might change back to the old rewards 😁

I do find it difficult to get my peak time percentage low as I work a rarity these days, Monday to Friday till 5pm, unless I am going to wait until after 7pm to eat or for a hot drink. I batch cook to heat in the microwave and leave things like washing up and others things until after 7pm. It does encroach on my relaxation time though. Ironically I won £2 with 2 entries and nothing the following month with 7 (I was away part of that month so got off to a good start). Although I try not to let it demotivate me, I do wonder whether it is worth the sacrifices I make to my free time. I have also just started studying for a new qualification and find the hour after I get in from work to be my most productive. At the moment I am using it to learn Legislation and that sort of thing but will soon need to start writing reports and exam entries using the laptop at that time so it will be near impossible to make the percentage and study at my optimum times.

I have to say I’m not as enthusiastic as I was. I’ve managed to get £2 once. Last month I didn’t even manage to reach the draw as it said it didn’t have the appropriate info

The only reason I’m sticking with it is the chance to win a years supply of energy. I’ve signed up for the new power move flex, and I’ll see how that goes.

I want to give it a go again but the direct debit part of it is a big no. If they took what my bill was then fine but that’s not an option. And I asked how much cheaper the unit and standing charge prices were with direct debit and they’re no different.
When I wasn’t allowed to do it any more I also really enjoyed being free of the mental shackles of it all.

The current DD thing is really annoying me at the moment 🤬 my. DD has just gone up AGAIN to £167 and I'm over £500 in credit! We have an EV so use lots of electric but we're on charge anytime so get a large proportion of the bill back as a credit. But they seem to use your energy used figure to calculate the DD rather than the actual amount you pay each month. Only once in the past year has our monthly bill been more than the DD amount and that was due to our car, a tesla, getting disconnected from charge anytime. Our average bill is around £100-£120 so maybe £50 less than the DD amount every month!!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

I find it really difficult to use less electricity than I do currently as I need oxygen 24/7 so have an oxygen concentrator running all the time, unless I leave the house & as I am retired, that isn't that often!
However, I do my best & do things like batch cook so I can heat up in either the microwave or air fryer, use dishwasher & washing machine at night etc. I'll probably never be the 'top dog' but I've had a few £2 which is better than a poke in the eye with a burnt stick! 🙃😂 & hey! You've got to be in it to win it!

I've managed stay below 5% earning between 11 and 13 entries each month. I must be very lucky because I've won the £2 in every draw so far! I must admit though that it's all getting a bit tiresome. The feel good factor of using less energy at peak times has faded and become more of a chore now.

Although the potential rewards are not guaranteed i enjoy the challenge, it has now become almost a habit of ensuring low usage in the late afternoon/early evening. It is easier in the summer as I don’t need to turn the lights on. The challenge has improved my eating habits, so my overnight fast is longer - I cook and eat my dinner before the 1700 deadline ! Isn’t it all about changing your habits, so that automatically use less energy at peak times ?

I am a lower than average user, no matter how hard I try we don’t seem to be able to reduce what we use during high peak times. Disappointing not to feel rewarded, but is what it is. I’ve also noticed when be book free kWh hour slots looking at the info on the app I think the info from our meter is off.
Nxt week I may adjust my use to line up with what I believe the meter is sending and see if that works.
Can a meter Clock be incorrect or is there a time delay in information getting to OVO systems?
I will continue to try and meet these incentives if it’s helping the planet in some small way.
Try to do my bit, however small.

Hi, I would stick with it, yes I was very sad 😥 when OVO pulled the plug on the £12+ per month credit only to replace it with a pitifully £5.
I guess £5 is still free money, my youngest daughter who's a very low user won £50 credit on her second month,
so if you're not in it you can't win it 🤞

Reading through the comments, compared to my results I think you’re all doing well. Like LadyP I also have equipment I need to run a pump feed plus charge my powerchair so I rely on electricity to function but save on others It’s really all about saving the planet at end of day so lots of little saving hopefully help.
However selfishly like EssyC I also would like to win a years free electric Wow! 🤔what a free gift that is 🙏 fingers crossed 🤞 touch wood 🪵 and stars aligned. Who knows. Might be me! Ist that a great incentive- if only ☁️ Good Luck everyone

It expired in may unfortunately. Because I moved in May and they didn’t manage to switch my supply unti June. I missed out on March - May, 3 months of £10 credit.

I’m a little envious of those receiving regular rewards/prizes. Despite always achieving less than 5.5% usage and having 10 or 11 entries each month I have only had £2 twice. I carry on with adjusting our usage purely because it isn’t that challenging to achieve. However it is not much of an incentive like the previous reliable rewards.
