My Pay As You Go account

Issue with 0330 175 9669???I have been on hold for 50 minutes. Before that 25 minutes but the line was cut off. Is something big going on??? Really odd. Should I stay on line???

I’m the landlord of a property and my tenant has just moved out. I’ve now discovered that without my prior knowledge or permission, the tenant had the meters changed at the property to Pay As You Go meters.  I would never have agreed to this.How do I get them changed back? ( they did it for both the gas and electricity supply). Thanks in advance.

Hii was switched from to OVO.my gas meter is card top up type. I was sent a new card for topping up from Ovo.should I use remaining credit on meter before putting in new card to activate it then topping it up.if I don’t use existing credit before activating card will it be wiped off when card is inserted to activate it. 

I was switched over 6 weeks ago never recieved a card 5 engineer appointments have been missed in 3 days I'm now going into day 4 with no gas any idea what I can do? 6 weeks they keep telling me a card is being posted now engineer's aren't turning up spent hours upon hours on the phone and waiting for no one 😢

Right, I think my old supplier account has closed because I can't top up with the card online anymore and I've just spent hours on hold trying to top up/get a new card sent out with various teams all sending me to one another. I eventually get in touch with boost who come to the conclusion that I've got a traditional meter which makes sense because ovo sent through a traditional PAYG gad card/key that requires insertion when I've got a smart meter? Does anyone know how I can top up in the meantime and how I can get a smart card sent out because I've had no help from OVO/Boost. I have a gas account number from OVO but no smart card number to top up. Hope this makes sense. Cheers Eddie

I topped up my meter on the ova app this morning and my credit was £18 and pennies.  I came home at 5.30PM and it is saying I have a zero balance and need to activate my emergency credit.  HELP. I cannot afford to keep adding money to this 

Any reason I can’t top online or in the shop on a Sunday I’ve been trying to add money to the worlds worst energy supplier for two days now. I’m now with out electricity im cold lonely and fed up you have taken £40 from my bank I’ve also tried to do this in a shop but the systems are down please help. 

Hi could anyone tell me why on my smart meter my daily standing charge states 58.910p for electric. But every morning recently I have noticed the meter starting on 76p, when it used to show 58p.  I am on a PAYG tariff.

I moved into my house 4 weeks ago. Signed up with British gas as that was the original supplier. Got my top up cards etc. Started using them, no problems. A week ago received a letter from them stating sorry your leaving us, now top up cards don't work. Called British gas, your with ovo. I'm confused but call ovo, wrong spelling of name and wrong date of birth on account. I cant top up my payg meter. Been on the phone and just keep getting transferred from one department to another as they cant deal with it. Web chat are useless. Moved back to British gas which is gonna take a few days. The only this is I got a message on my home screen telling me that my meter is is credit mode, but the balance on my meter keeps going down like its still in payg mode. I'm scared it runs out as getting no where with customer service. 😕 

A few weeks ago I received a new prepayment card. The instructions said to use up any credit and then insert the card.Last night my credit ran out I popped in the new on and was met with FAIL in big letters.I contacted ovo this morning at 9am where the representative had issues understanding. She kept telling me to put credit on it took ages for me to get her to understand I can't it says fail. She opened up a job for me at 9am saying that someone would be round in 3-4 hours. Five hours have now gone by I have spoken to webchat they told me they don't deal with heritage meters despite the person on the phone telling me to use this if there was a issue.No one has called I gave them my phone number and I have been on hold with customer services for half a hour at this point. I had to take the day off work to get this fixed.

Hello, Is OVO Top Up website down today?  I tried the app it had no information on it so I cleared cache and data and it reappeared but site says insecure website.

I’m moving into an electric only rental supplied by OVO in a weeks time, it’s currently on a prepayment meter and I have no idea how these work but they sound terrible, if I sign up with OVO can I move to direct debit from day 1?

I must say how disapointed I am with this company. I’ve just moved into property with a smart meter. The landlord put credit on the meter while I decorated all the rooms in the flat, this was throughout January and February this year. I officially took over the tenancy in March of this year. The gas credit was fine but I was down to £3.80 or so just before the weekend for electric. This is when the problem started. I tried to contact Boost since the 2nd June. Webchat didn’t respond after waiting 2 hours, telephone call wasn’t much better. I’ve tied every day watching my credit run down. I finally manged to speak to someone today ,a woman in South Africa  who was helpfull but I’m now in a similar position. This time the gas is on emergency and I just cannot top up either on line or at a Paypoint shop. What really disappoints me is  the credit that was on the gas is now zero.  All credit has been wiped , so my £51.54 gas credit is gone. The woman quoted me 2 very long numbers , I did

Hi!I still have £4 credit on my meter but I’ve managed to activate my £20 emergency. I know it’s a silly question but when will it start showing that I am using the emergency? My In Home Display unit is GEO and for electric only. Thank you.

Help !! Been  without electricity since 5pm was near the end of emergency credit but I thought friendly credit would apply as it’s a bank holiday. I  put my last £10 on it and still supply is off . I have googled everything I can think of. 

Hi I moved into a new home in October last year. The previous owner had pre pay meters in the property with NPower I have already requested credit ones which I passed the credit checks but nearly 6 months on NPower have failed over and over to honour the change of meters and the prices on these meters are once again increasing! I have tried a few other suppliers but they are not interested in removing NPowers prepay meters and advised me to get them too which has been a waste of time can anyone give me some advice does OVO do this?

Hi, I have a PAYG - not smart meter. My screen is blank, even though I have tried pressing the blue button. I topped up my key card with £50 but I'm not sure if it was processed as my screen is blank. I'm really worried my electricity will run out as it's the Easter holiday weekend. I tried to call SSE/OVO earlier but they keep punting me to their website chat - who tell me to call them. I can't get any contact. Any ideas what I can do? There was a power failure earlier in the week but my electricity is still on. Thanks in advance 

Hello,I  am on a Pay as you Go Smart Meter.  I just received an email to say they wanted to switch me from monthly readings. It said to give me more accurate bills.  I don't get bills on payg. They had my name and account number.  There was a link to a form to fill in my preferences myself so I said I wanted daily/ half hourly readings.  I noticed an icon in the top right hand corner which said My Account.  When I pressed it it took me to a page which is for credit meter accounts.  I phoned and the lady said they might have sent it to wrong person.  She said she could change my readings to daily/ half hourly there while on the phone.  I am anxious that they are going to change my meter from PAYG to credit mode.  She said no it will still be PAYG as they still take meter readings.  Have I done the wrong thing filling in the form?  They had my correct account number. I want to stay on PAYG. I am worried I did the wrong thing with the form as I was half asleep.  I had something

hi all i am going potty my electric bill alone is costing £100 every 6 days and over night i am waking to have already using according to my smart meter between £7 and £8 when everyone in bed asleep  only time has gone down is when switched fuse box off at night for couple of hours but cannot keep doing this have been on to our supplier who dont seem in any rush to help but said will look into it mean while we have to keep topping up which is crippling us and getting into debt can anyone please help

I had a new meter fitted on 2/2/23 and £20 emergency put on it, which has nearly run out, I’m waiting on a new top up card, which hasn’t arrived yet. I also have £20 on my old card that I haven’t been able to use and need refunded.

Hi, recently my gas/electric has been swapped over to Boost/PAYG tarriff without any notification. Now whenever I try calling Ovo my call gets instantly forwarded to Boost, and my e-mails also get rejected (Your message wasn't delivered because the recipient's email provider rejected it.) So I’m unable to contact Ovo to sort this out. Feels like they’ve swapped me over and blocked me from being able to contact them. I don’t really know what I should do about this, I feel utterly helpless to resolve this, currently on the phone and are going to ask Boost to put me through to Ovo, but I’ve no idea if they’ll even do that. gonna be a nice couple 25 minute waits.

Hello, everyone. I have an issue with the electricity reader. There were several blackouts last week in our area. Yesterday I wanted to top up the electricity as I have prepayments and noticed that the reader shows NOTHING on its display. So I cannot top up it. I am afraid I will run out of the electricity soon. I tried to reach the support of the company, but after waiting for nearly 20 minutes they just cut the call off.  Any suggestions, please? And thank you for your time to reply.
