My Sept-Dec 2023 usage was close to £1500 for a well insulated 3-bed detached all electric bungalow on the Moray Coast kept at between 18-20C by Dimplex Quantum storage and Monteray panel heaters all set to 'Home All Day' on their automatic timers.  So much for the OFGEM National Average consumption figures, am I alone in struggling to afford paying for the Green Revolution? 

Apparently, you have to be invited to join PMP but then have to opt in to each event.  Not sure why Ovo need three separate schemes (inc. Shift and Save) with three separate sign ups, forum groups etc.. Can't you make life a bit simpler for us please with just one sign up, auto-enrol for each event with the option to opt out and just one forum group! 

Live in Aberdeenshire and can not get smart meter to connect tried several times. If I put a CTi whip multiband antenna in would this work and where best to install in attic or on roof. I get no help from OVO when phone to ask this as you just get to speak to customer service and if it’s not on their script …..

My first bill from OVO.Really simple :  Zero starting balance, + Some electricity, - One paper free discount, + VAT.  These numbers don’t add up.Statement shows two ‘paper discounts’ totalling £9.52, but the calculation only uses one.The ‘Total Charges’ don’t match the ‘New Balance’, even though the starting balance was zero.I know the errors are not significant, just a few pence, but they are wrong !.It is possible that a human working with a calculator could make a simple error, but I don’t think OVO have rooms full of girls with calculators doing our bills.It’s probably some kind of computer error, which is worrying. HELP!! I paid and booked to have an isolation switch installed to charge an electric car back inMarch 2023 , 4 times they have been booked and not turned up.every time I get £30 credited to my account for wasted a morning of annual leave. This is truly disgraceful no one can help all the staff at ova do is book another appointment. no contact to or from SMSL Every time they don't turn up they credit my account and this is all well and good but who is paying for this? ultimately it is us the customers … Its the most awful service from a company who have rocketing prices and bonuses. 

Hi so I finally got a smart meter installed this morning, but the info isn't coming through on my display? The engineer said it takes about 10 minutes for it to update but its been a few hours now, my display is in my hallway right by my front door so I've left the door open for a bit to try and get signal but with no luck, I've left multiple doors open for a few minutes to see if anything happens but nothing is coming throughI've tried contacting ovo and using the help bot but I'm not getting anywhere and according to my account on the app I haven't got a smart meter installed so I'm not sure how long that takes to update either

Will OVO introduce variable DDs where a smart meter is installed?

Last Thursday our household joined into an attempt to meet a less than 1kW target between 18:00 and 19:00. The email stated that if we signed up and achieved the target we would be credited with £6.00 to our account. So, game on! 17:45, made two hot drinks, filled a bath, turned everything off, lite the candles in the bathroom and settled down with the bubbles and a good book for one hour and five minutes of relaxation. We were drawing less than 0.25kW for the hour - credit from OVO, £2.56. Isn't inflation tough, in the space of a couple of days our £6.00 had devalued by nearly 60%!!! Thanks OVO team for your marketing farmyard. On the upside - the bath, bubbles, tea book and company were great; I can't wait for the next invitation 😜😁

 Hello All,  Firstly, sorry, if this in the wrong place.  I’m now 4 weeks into a new electric smart meter but I find the live status and changes in the online account portal, very stressful. I keep topping up with extra payments but I don’t think I should as the credit amount covers the upcoming month’s bills.  From 8 weeks, the portal should show recommendations for my Direct Debit and/or credit amounts.  I’d appreciate any advice.  Many Thanks, youngeru2

Hey! New member here 👋 - I hope everyone is okay! This isn’t my first Community rodeo 😆  I’ve just moved into a new property supplied by OVO (never had them as my supplier before!) so I’ve just got a few questions…  Have I missed the WHD cut off? Just wondering if I’ll be eligible at my new property. I know that it’s done automatically this year, but wondered if I need to submit something as I’m joining the party late.  We have SMETS1 meters at the property - my account hasn’t been set up properly in your guy’s side yet so I’m not too sure if it’s functioning. But we don’t have an IHD - just wondering if we would be able to get one? / if we will have the meters upgraded to SMETS2.  Do I have the option to pay via a variable DD rather than fixed? We’ve just signed up to the loyalty fix and it’s saying £153 a month!!!!!! And we by no means can afford that! So I think variable DD with as little usage as possible will be b

This morning our electricity supply was cut off. We are on PAYG. Checking into the account , both on website and app, we seen that we still have £10 credit. Checking the meter it shows that we need emergency credit. We toped up with £50, which is showing in the app but not in the meter which is still running on emergency credit. We talk here on chat with someone, we got cut off, we called and after almost 1 hour of talks without nobody knowing what is happening or to fix the problem we cut of as well. We didn't get any email confirmation for the last 3 payments , a total of £150. We simply had enough.

Who are these power move plus “plan zero heroes”and why do they have all the best answers? 

My house has a 2-phase supply, with dual-rates (night and day). I’m guessing that no-one will make a Smart Meter for 2-phase supplies. Does anyone know if a 3-phase Smart Meter (when available) will be able to be fitted (and hence cope with one phase never being used)? 

I’ve just had my email about the January increase, and don’t understand where the government / regulators are coming from.Yet again, the off-peak rate is going up by more than the peak rate.  I’m on Economy 7. I thought the focus was about shifting the demand from the daytime when usage is highest to night time when it is lowest.  But there is increasingly less value to doing this. I even got batteries fitted to move my winter usage to the night time, but then price caps hit and the off-peak rate has grown much faster.  It feels like Ofgem is spitting in my face.Peak +2%; off-peak +12%. Gas +8%.  How can this be LESS than the off-peak electricity increase? I note that in the last 20 years, my unit prices have gone up disproportionately. Peak was 2.4 times as expensive, now it is only 1.46 times.Electric: Peak +490%; Off-peak +808%; Standing charge +609%.Gas: +492%, standing charge only +258%.

If I stick to 3p per hr within the 4 - 7pm daily time range will I be under the 13.5% or less of my total daily electricity during these peak hrs.  It would be helpful to know what in pence terms we need to keep under to not go over this goal?

Octopus have announced a saving session this evening from 5pm to 6pm. Is OVO doing one then too ?

I have power of attorney for my mother. My father passed away in July 2022 and since August 2022 I have been trying to get the account transferred into my mothers name. I have completed all the forms and emailed them (at least 4 times). I have raised a complaint, which was opened and closed without anything happening, I then escalated it, and actually got a response and was told that it had all gone through and all I needed to do was put the meter readings in, in December.December 2023 - I have just tried to put the meter readings in, only to be told that is was still in progress and I am unable to put the meter readings in, so I have raised another complaint, in which they have 8 weeks to decide to do something about and too late to put readings in, so will have to wait another 3 months!We have had no payment since June 2022!This service is an absolute disgrace and I am not sure what else I can do

Smart meter isn’t working but because I have electricity the engineers aren’t showing up to appointments. Wasting my time. I’ve had to take unpaid leave to wait in for THIRD appointment and still a no show. When I contacted OVO all they said was sorry and that I could rebook. What’s the point in rebooking??? Useless!

We have a ford kuga 2022 phev, we have signed up for the charge anytime, however when we try to charge the car it doesn't ever charge properly and causes the vehicle to not power up fully in the morning until left for a while, we have tried to uninstall and reinstall the charge anytime but it still doesn't charge properly.Car charges fine without the charge anytime app. We have a pod point charger and smart meter. Does anyone have any ideas please? 

Hi I migrated to ovo in August £72 in credit. Immediately  got a bill for£903. They had estimated wrong meter reading. That reading has been amended but 4 months later this phooney bill is now £1300. In contact a dozen times, demands keep coming, but I'm £300 in credit no can do anything and told just ignore demands and £10 non payment charges.  The big problem I have now is that when I pay anything its not credited to my account its added to this phoney bill so the imagined debt keeps increasing. Any suggestions? At wits end

Our display is saying that we are in pre-payment, after being on pay monthly. We are using emergency credit. Is this a display or connection fault? Unable to phone or chat with customer service. Thanks.
