When do the new tarriff’s kick in? My smart meter is still showing the tarriff’s from pre July 

Today is my first day with Ovo and I’m struggling!  I specifically joined Ovo to avail of Charge Anytime but I keep being told by the app that something went wrong when it tries to link the accounts.  I’ve tried uninstalling/reinstalling it and the Ovo app, can log on successfully online without any issues, but this issue persists.It’s just a little frustrating and I need this working before I start heavily using my car from Wednesday.Any suggestions?

We switched from EDF to OVO 5 days ago, and the OVO website wants me to submit an initial reading from our year-old smart meter. However, the OVO site then says:We're still waiting for some industry data for this meter, so you're not able to submit a reading right now.Is this common? Does it solve itself? I can’t go to any other part of my account on the website or phone, so it is a bit annoying.

I would like to know if we as pensioners will we qualify for a grant to wards loft insulation  our house is in Surrey and our Council tax band is “G” This I’m sure would help reduce our heating bills if we qualify.. 

I have recently signed a new contract for gas and electricity, the new figures are higher than the price cap figures. The new contract starts later this month. Will i be charged the higher new amount after the price cap starts in October or will they reduce the contract to the price cap?Plus on the app it says people with certain criteria will be able to apply for free electric throws, free boiler service, free smart thermostats. How do i find out if i qualify?

Time is running out…EBSS Prepayment Voucher funding from the Government will terminate on the 30th June 2023. There's lots of talk about electricity prices coming down at the beginning of July 2023.  We're stuck with THTC, despite asking repeatedly for an economy 7 meter, and have had no information about a reduction in the prices. Has anyone heard anything from OVO?? I have a horrible feeling their charges are not going to come down....

We fixed a Drive tariff in Sept 2022 for 12 months (when Boris was saying we all just had to ”suck up” the energy prices).  Under that tariff we were paying 63.49 pence per kWh for electricity and 18.72 pence per kWh for gas..  A few days and 300 prime ministers later  the EPG was announced and so our tariff for electricity has been capped at 31.44 pence per kWh for electricity and 9.74 pence per kWh for gas since 1 October 2022.  (Our plan name on the system is  “Drive 20220309 EPG“ )  On 1 July 2023 I would like to know from Ovo what our tariff is going to be please?  We’ve had no communication from Ovo regarding this.  Will it revert to the  63.49 pence per kWh for electricity or not?  If not, what will it be and what are our options? Does any one elses economy 7 meter register 1 unit per night even though it is switched off?  

Hi allJust wondering if anyone had any knowledge of how a smart meter gets set from PAYM to PAYG? I had new meters installed due to connectivity issues (SMETS 1 to SMETS2) and move to credit account at our request due to no end of issues on pre-pay (legacy from when we moved in).The initial set up (January 2023) saw switches of the new meters from credit mode to prepayment resulting in cut offs. I thought this was resolved until this weekend (24 June) when we experienced an entire weekend (and still) off gas supply.Question: how do the modes of the meters get changed? I have a vague understanding of telemetry systems, but can't fathom why switching from credit to prepayment would occur as a system setting in this instance. Can the modes only be changed by a person?Thanks

Good Evening, I am looking for some support and this seems like somewhere that will be able to help - the information already consumed has been enligtening but I do have a specific issue which I am hoping I can get some support on. I have been with British Gas since buying my property in Dec 2018 (in Scotland - that will come to life later in my story). I’ve always been on one of their tariffs which had a end time on it until the whole energy crisis put me onto the standard tarfiff which was seen to be the best for everyone - everything worked fine, I could sign into my account, I could use my in home display and all was well with the world. In Dec 2022 British Gas informed me they were moving me to their ‘new system’ - I didn’t think much of it at the time but I thought hey ‘new system’ it’s gotta be better right? This doesn’t affect customers currently onboarded with Ohme and Charge anytime. I’m moving into an electric only rental supplied by OVO in a weeks time, it’s currently on a prepayment meter and I have no idea how these work but they sound terrible, if I sign up with OVO can I move to direct debit from day 1?

Does charge anytime work with Porsche Taycan 4s cross turismo 22.?I have an Andersen charger.

Has anyone else with an Ivie Bud IHD had problems recently? At exactly 1am BST (midnight UTC) from Sunday 11th → Monday 12th mine stopped working. It just has a message scrolling across the bottom of the screen stating that the “Electricity Supply [has been] Disconnected” (Which it hasn’t).  Chameleon have said that it’s because there’s no tariff information on my actual smart meter and, last week, Ovo were kind enough to reset the connection a couple of times and I made them aware of the comments from Chameleon about the information. Unfortunately, even after a couple of restarts, the message remains and there is no information being retrieved from the smart meter (no readings, nothing).  The Bud had been working fine for months before this and I’d normally suspect a technical failure, but the timing is just too perfect and it feels like it’s a scheduled action of some sort that’s caused the issues (firmware update, potentially). OVO sends me a text on the 7th February telling me it's time to submit our meter readings, and that this is best done on the 13th for accuracy and to avoid estimated readings.So I hang around until the 13th then, on precisely that date I submit our readings.Just checked our account today and am dumbfounded to see OVO has added one extra day's estimated reading to those I submitted on the 13th, now telling me that the best day to......etc, is the 14th.What's THAT all about?? It's a blimmin' joke isn't it. Tells me to do one thing, does something else. All I want is an accurate bill NOT an estimated one. Seems OVO are not technically equipped to carry out this simplest of tasks. Maybe just one of the reasons why they are no longer 'top of the class' in Customer's experiences (see "Which" Review). I have a PodPoint charger which doesn’t have many bells and whistles, not very smart and isn’t compatible with Charge Anytime…. However the app now has a great new lookup function which gives the CO2 forecast for Today and Tomorrow for my region. Previously I’ve only found apps that give a figure for (I assume) the whole country or just a snapshot of the regions. 

Why does OVO, where possible, not request a photograph of the existing meters in advance of the Engineer’s visit. This would surely prevent disappointment to customers being told on the day, that an  existing meter cannot be changed for whatever reason.?

So OVO Energy are my supplier (not by choice) and I moved into my house on the 27th Feb 2023.  Setup my electric account and didn't have time to get the gas done in the same call. Later ended up with a second account (told they couldn't add gas to electric account).  Later checked and noticed meter wasn't sending readings so went to do a manual one.  Noticed that the serial number on the OVO energy account was wrong so reported it straight away. This was reported on the 7th March 2023.  A case was raised apparently for a historic change from SSE and I am told there is no time scale for this being resolved.   The issue is holding me from moving supplier and OVO are doing nothing to fix this.  OVO say SSE need to fix this but OVO are my gas supplier so surely they should rectify this if there's a deadlock or actually just do a meter exchange and sort the issue out! Why this has to be so complicated is insanity! They also have the meter as being SMET1 on XOS
