Hey forumengers, Past week or so Ive been having calls and have had two letters from SEEKA who just work on OVO’s behalf to get meter readings.I got a call on sunday, or at least some voicemails, so it seems I can read the number out over the phone. No?My account says the meter is working fine and last sent a message yesterday.My loop app is matching my IHD too… So why are they threatening me to force access for  a meter reading lmfao?My meter isnt in my home, they cant force entry either. Its a rental.Just wanting to hear other peoples experiences in this situation, I dont think its nefarious. They can put me back to PAYG remotely whenever they feel, Nothing I can do to stop that.

An advisory for those of you wanting to purchase an Indra Lux charger and will rely on a 4g dongle for internet connectivity. The Dongle needs to be purchased separately as part of the installation and will stop working after 3 years. I have asked Indra for clarity on this point but would seem bizarre to me that it would simply disconnect after 3 years particularly as it’s a £200 add on!

So for the first time last night I’ve had my car not charge due to a software update on the car.I’ve always plugged it in before an update, but its been a while I guess and since the new system stops charging the car after the car stops taking power, had a mere 0.3kw added to the car! Plugged in car, went to bed didn’t think anything of it, woke up with non charged car :( Just a heads up for anyone to do the update then plug in or schedule it for maybe a few hours before you need the car so it will get charged before any update!I really wish they let the car trickle charge like the old system did, had to boost for an hour or so to make sure I had enough this morning.This is more of a heads up I guess, its not something I really thought about before!

 Two engineers have visited my house so far to fit a smart gas meter but they dont have the correct  fitting, nor an adaptor, to connect to the gas tap. It doesnt seem there is anything we can do about it!The size of the short copper pipe coming out of the flange and going into the lead pipe is 0.795 inch / 20mm outside diameter. The house is 1962 but the gas meter is 1994. I’m suprised that it is so unusal. Anyone know about gas pipe sizes?Incoming gas pipe

This may be a bit off topic for this thread, but researching alternative low rate tariffs, if found my self thinking that it might (should?) be possible to replace traditional brick-filled storage heaters with batteries. After all if it works for cars and trains, why not houses?

I moved to a new flat and my meter is not working ok I think. It's not detecting my boiler when I set it up at night and for few days in a row have over 1.5 kwh when we are either asleep or out . Can't understand where is my boiler at night and what is causing the other usage- 1.5kwh per 30 min. Nothing in the flat is using that apart from the boiler, oven or dryer but I haven't used them at those hours at all. For reference I can say I moved from another flat in the same building so my boiler is the same so are my appliances. I checked the clock at the boiler timer and it's correct   the meter clock is also correct.  The boiler is having its light on at night when its set up for heating.  In the morning it shows 0 usage or very little and it's 3kw boiler

Hi, I recently moved in this flat. It comes with 2 storage heater which are made by creda. My electricity supplier is OVO and my plan is economy 7 and also have a smart meter. The problem is storage heater come on from 1 pm to 4:30 pm and also at midnight. But my off peak our is midnight to 7 am.There are no thermostat or time switch for the storage heater. Can you guide me with it? 

I check my usage every day - especially as my daughter has started to use the oil heater in her bedroom. However, I have had no usage statistics for Gas or Electric since 14/02. Does anyone know why this might be?

Hi, I have not had anyone round to check my smart meter readings for months and months. I’d like to check the meters match my bills? Is it possible to read them the old fashioned way to check?

I am on 30 min smart reads and have an ovo app. Can I  still set up "usage checker" on their apps/online? if so how??i cant find it or the questionnaire on main household appliances. thanks MrB

HelloThis seems obviously wrong but how do I solve it?It’s a Mitsubishi Ecodan system. The heating seems to be driven by the thermostat fixed on the side of the HWC, and not the roving thermostat.Fixed stat reports 19.5 actual / 18 requiredRoving reports 16.5 / 18How do I get it to use the roving thermometer?(yes, one solution is set the stat to 21 or something but that is not very helpful, thanks)The Melcloud app reflects the fixed readings.Thanks for any helpmelcloudfixedroving

We had a smart meter installed a few months ago. We haven’t yet been given an in-home monitor, so have to refer to the meter itself.  On checking our usage today, I noticed the meter had stopped sending daily readings since 6th of this month, which coincides with a bad storm and power outage. On checking the meter in order to send manual readings, I noticed that there were three LED status lights and, at first, the green light was showing. There were also two buttons to the left of the screen, one green and the other grey. We took a note of the reading being displayed, but since we have both peak and off-peak rates, we waited to see if it would show the other reading but it didn’t, so we pressed the green button and the display went blank. After randomly pressing both buttons, we eventually got back to the original screen, but the LED light which had been green had now changed to blue, and we’ve no idea what this means.I’ve included a photo of these lights (

Had my Indra Charger installed for a week now.Done several charges with no issues, OVO has 'seen' them fine.Until this morning that is.Latest charge has not shown in the OVO app and it's been saying there is an issue try again later.Got home and charger was flashing purple, which I understand is a comms error.Rebooted and now white again, but OVO don't seem to know I charged last night, as I guess there was a comms problem.Will this sort itself out or will I be charged at the full rate for this charge period because of a comms drop?And anyone with an Indra, how common is it for this to happen, bit worrying.

Many of those who are used to retrieving their usage data from third parties have noticed an interruption in the service recently. For me, it started on 13 June and has yet to be resolved.Third parties (called ‘other users’ by DCC) are supposed to be able, with the customer’s permission, to contact a smart meter and retrieve usage and tariff data stored in it, which they can then present in a friendly form and also make it possible to download the data. Hi Community,Hoping someone can help.  I have a new ID3 that is not being charged unless it is manually applied via the VW app when connected to my home Ohme charger.I understand the changes that have been made between Ovo and Ohme, so have deleted my Ohme account and app from my phone. after doing this I also deleted my car from the Charge Anytime app and re-created.Now, whenever I plug in, the car is seen as being connected in the CA app, and does start to charge for a few moments, but then stops. If I set it to be ready by, for example, 6am, nothing is then added.  This is now becoming a big issue!I will add that the one time that it has worked it still didn’t reach the 80% requested which is also big problem.Charging away from home is no problem. I have used a number of other charging points, so the issue is between the car, CA and Ohme.Any ideas are more than welcomed!!

Hi, i have a new Hypervolt Pro3, that is linked to my Ovo charge account, so Ovo decides when to charge.  My HV account says the charger is locked.  So, do I need to unlock that from the HV account or does Ovo do that when it starts chargjng? There seems to be contradictory information out there on this.If I "unlock" manually during the OVO scheduled session, will the cost of charging be the 7p per kwh or my standard rate? Thanks

I have noticed that the cheap rate time come on later that stated and finish earlier that stated are any other customers experiencing this?

Having checked my past 3 months, as I have not received any credits for my EV charging even though I had been receiving them from June 25. I contacted the Helpdesk and was informed that the App had lost my data for the past 3 months and I would not be receiving any credits even though it is obvious from my billing data when I charged my car. I find this incredibly unfair and want to inform other users to check. Without those credits has forced up my monthly credit from £90 to £136 per month. I was informed that OVO will not give me my credits as it was my fault that the App failed. I am extremely unhappy with this 

Is it possible to setup temporary charging with a slow 13A car charger using charge anytime? At home I have an Indra charger, it works fine with Charge Anytime, no problems.  At the moment I am having my driveway re-laid, and this means I can’t get my car on the drive near the charger.  I do have a 13A charger for the car, and have worked out it reaches the end ok.  But can I set that up to use charge anytime?  I can’t see how to add another charger in the app?Car is a Tesla Model 3 if that matters.

Hi, I have used the new OVO Charge app a few times before without any issues. Since early this week the OVO Charge app is not recognising that the car is plugged in. The car sticks on the initialising stage, and the blue light on the charger is flashing like the initialising stage, but no charge seems to be releasing as the app still states ‘plug in vehicle to begin charging’.I have never used the OVO anytime app as still fairly new to EV’s. I have a Jaguar Ipace and an Evec charger.I have also emailed the OVO charge email address and not had a response since Monday. I am now having to charge away from home costing a lot of extra money.I have also tried deleting both Evec and OVO charge app’s and reinstalling and still no joy.Any help would be great fully appreciated.

Recently renewed our contract for the 3rd year and just noticed that we are no longer receiving our charge anytime credit. Ive emailed support, just wanted to check if this has happened to anyone else and if they had any problems getting it sorted.

I have solar and battery installed through Ovo currently exporting on the SEG Install Exclusive tariff. I'll be getting a great pink soon and am looking at tariff options. How does the Heat Pump Plus tariff calculate the electricity used by a heat pump if some is generated by solar and not imported? Is it as simple as the 15p/kWh cost being applied to any electricity imported, up to the amount that the heat pump has used? Over what period is this calculated? I’d like to work out the most cost effective way to run the systems if I get paid 20p for export but only pay 15p for import!
