Say hello to the new and improved OVO Forum Rewards & Recognition feature

As of 2026 we’ve rolled out a brand new Rewards and Recognition programme for our members. We want to shout about the great work carried out by our community that makes this Forum such a helpful source of knowledge for OVO customers and beyond.

We’ve introduced new profile badges, a revamped ranking structure and even the chance for members to win some exciting prizes for their efforts.

We’ve got a dedicated Forum space that describes the new badges and how to earn them, and how to move up through the ranks. You can access the space here.

Each month we’ll update this article to display the Forum members who’ve won awards, badges, or have just been amazingly helpful. This month, we’ve chosen 2025’s Forum Member of the Year, as well as the Forum Member of the Month for December. We’ve also given some shout outs to some other members that have done a lot to help the community over 2025.

Our December spotlight winners

We’re proud to name our 2025 Forum member of the year and our December member of the month:

Forum Member of the Year (2025): @Firedog

Throughout 2025 Firedog’s worked tirelessly to answer a huge amount of questions on the Forum. As usual, his answers have been really helpful, and he’s given a number of ‘best answers’. The article below gives an example of how clear and detailed Firedog’s best answers can be. A massive thanks for being such an asset to the community and to OVO Firedog!

Here’s a perfect example of Firedog in action:

Forum Member of the Month (December 2025): @Bendog

We’re awarding Bendog member of the month for December for her amazing level of engagement since joining the community very recently. She’s provided some great information and given ‘best answers’ that are of a really high standard. We’ve included an example of one of these below, thanks Bendog!

You wouldn’t believe how many boxes of sweets and tubs of jelly beans have shown up at my place… They never last long! :D

Plus that jumper I “acquired” from the Bristol Office back in 2021... :P

Now I’m jealous!

February’s Community Highlights: Celebrating our top contributors

Hello everyone!

As we move into March, it’s time to look back at the incredible engagement that powered the OVO Community Forum through February.

This month, we’re doing things a little differently. We are awarding our top spots based on overall community engagement scores. An overall collection of every "Best Answer" provided, every helpful "Like" given, and every meaningful discussion started. It’s been a busy month, and the leaderboard has been a joy to watch!

🌟 Member of the Month: @Blastoise186

A massive congratulations to @Blastoise186 , who has taken the top spot for February 2026!

Their chart-topping score this month is a perfect example of what we call a "Super User." He didn't just win on one specific topic; he earned his points by being a consistent, helpful presence across the entire platform.

  • The Points Breakdown: Blastoise186 racked up points through a high frequency of meaningful replies and by receiving "Likes" from fellow members who valued his quick responses.

  • Versatility: From welcoming new members to jumping into various technical discussions, he’s been the "connective tissue" of the forum this February.

  • The Reward: The February 2026 Member of the Month badge is now officially live on his profile! 🏆

🥈 The Runner Up: @Peter E

Hot on the heels of the top spot is @Peter E .

Peter has had a stellar month, climbing the ranks with a high engagement score. His points were largely driven by his active participation in the OVO Beyond and Power Move sections. By sharing his own journey and "Liking" other members' helpful tips, he’s built up a great reputation score this February.

Why they stood out: Peter’s score reflects his status as a "Reliable Responder"—someone the community knows they can count on for a friendly and helpful interaction.

🎮 How did they do it? (And how can you?)

Our Rewards & Recognition system is designed to celebrate everyone who makes this forum a better place. You don’t need to be a technical genius to climb the leaderboard; you just need to be helpful!

Oh no! Not more jelly beans! XD

But yeah, we do have some surprises in store for those who stick around and help out - jelly beans and chocolate is just the start… And we promise they won’t be tins of 63p mixed veg! XD

Her indoors was very impresed by what was sent. She's decided not to sack me after all for time spent on the forum.

March’s Community Highlights: Celebrating our top contributors

Morning everybody, I hope everyone’s doing well and is looking forward to the Easter break.

It’s time for our monthly rewards and recognition shout-outs, and we’ve got some great stuff to tell you about. As usual the Forum members listed below will be posted prizes, and may also be rewarded with shiny new profile badges.

🌟 Member of the Month:@BPLightlog

As one of our Super Users, @BPLightlog has been an asset to our community for some time now. This month we wanted to recognise his amazing contributions by awarding him Member of the Month.

@BPLightlog has been incredibly active across the Forum in March, but we wanted to shout out two things in particular. Firstly he’s completed the final Diary of an ASHP install entry, which is fantastic. The diary gives great insight into life with an Air Source Heat Pump, and the fine details involved with installing and running one. We’ve awarded @BPLightlog the ‘Scholar’ profile badge as a thank you for making this blog. All entries to the diary have now been compiled into a series, which you can view here:

Secondly, @BPLightlog has been really helpful to other members in the Solar space, and also our new Tech Corner. Some of the replies he’s written this month have not only helped OPs get the answers they need, but will no doubt assist people who read these threads in future. For these contributions we’ve added the ‘Solar Savvy’ badge to @BPLightlog’s profile. Thanks as always for all the help you give to the community 🤝.

🥈 The Runners Up:@Ecodanwarrior, @BeePee and@divinemadness

  • @Ecodanwarrior is one of the most helpful Forum members when it comes to heat pump queries, and this is the second time now he’s received shout-outs for his contributions. In March, and not for the first time, we’ve called on him for help with another member’s query, and he’s jumped on straight away to assist them. Great stuff, and well deserving of the ‘Helpful Hero’ forum badge.

  • Next up, we’re shouting out @BeePee. They’ve written some really handy content over the years and, in March, they were quick to help another Forum member who had a carbon monoxide issue in their home. @BeePee gave the OP correct emergency advice that helped the member in question get their issue resolved. For this, we’ve awarded @BeePee the ‘Helpful Hero’ profile badge - fantastic work!

  • Last, but by no means least, we want to give thanks to @divinemadness for their great contributions into the Electric Vehicles space this month. They asked some great questions about Charge Anytime that created a really helpful thread, and have also shared some great insight as to the benefits of Charge Anytime in general. We’ve given @divinemadness the ‘EV Enthusiast’ badge to celebrate their hard work.
