When you write a reply on a ‘Question’ thread it can be selected as ‘best answer’. A reply can be named the ‘best answer’ by the original poster (OP), a Super User, or a Community Manager (OVO staff).
A ‘best answer’ is exactly what it says on the tin. When a community member asks a question many people will generally reply on the thread, but only one reply will be selected as the ‘best answer’. This reply will clearly and accurately answer all questions asked by the OP and may also include links to other helpful Forum articles or websites that give relevant information.
Forum Community Managers regularly check all content on the Forum and make sure all ‘best answers’ are suitable and accurate. Community Managers will assign ‘best answers’ if there isn’t one already, and can also change best answers if necessary. If you’re assigned a ‘best answer’ you’ll be notified by email. The ‘best answer’ will be displayed beneath OP’s original question. The amount of ‘best answers’ you’ve provided will be shown on your profile as ‘Solved'.
