Hello, I hope someone can help with my situation because OVO chat is not helping.I was an SSE customer top-up and moved to OVO. I have in my house a storage heater and water, and they run during the night, so ask for a new meter (SSE put the wrong one for 3 years). Monday the engineer from SMS plc came and change a Smart meter Aclara SGM116B, and said that meter was ready for Economy7. Every time I need to contact customer service I mention that I have, even Monday I said to the engineer and I confirm to me that now I could use it during the night because that one is off-peak.Today I contact OVO . They send me the tariff that I’m in this moment Unit Rate (anytime): £0.2859 kWh (£0.2723 excl. VAT)Standing Charge: £0.6673 Daily (£0.6355 excl. VAT)

Please could somebody provide advice.We were recently informed that our smart meter was faulty and not sending any readings and so an engineer came and replaced it earlier this week (Tuesday). We are on a direct debit and pay every month and have been for 2 years since moving in. My IHD is showing a “prepay balance” tab and says “£5.34 in debt, non-disconnect in use”… we are not PAYG so why is this showing?  Also, about 2 hours after the engineer left on Tuesday, our electricity turned off. It came back on after we pressed one of the buttons on the meter but should I be concerned? I contacted OVO on Tuesday who said “the engineer who installed your new meter spoke to us earlier so it’s all fine”…. what does that even mean? thank you in advance 

I have a zappi charger at home. How can I set up both cars to charge at home using the charge anytime app? OVO told me they were working with zappi to allow this, however zappi told me they were only in discussion with Octopus.I only moved to OVO to be able to charge two cars on the low rate.

the electric rate per hour is almost real time. However the gas refresh rate is approx half hourly. Is it possible to get both refresh rates to near real time?

I'm fairly hands on and i want to change the settings in my flow temp controller for my Mitisbushi ecodan PUHZ-HW140VHA2 unit for my 3000 square foot reasonably energy efficient bungalow, it's all underfloor heating. It also has a stove back boiler which helps heats the 300l buffer tank for heating.installer company went bust years ago and im struggling to get anyone that knows what they are talking about. I'm trying to make it run more efficiently so. I had the ASHP installed in 2014. This july i changed a few settings and i think it has been running more efficiently. (my electricity usage would agree with me however it's hard to properly compare in 5 months.It recently it has been giving me a P8 error(See error table below.) i just reset the error and then it goes off about a week later. Maybe something to do with temperature of return water or something. See questions 1 and 2 below as they explain what settings i changed. 

Hello.I have a Mitsubishi heat pump and Ecodan control module. System configured with DHW tank and mixing tank for space heating. Second one is used for 2-zone setup: first zone is a radiators, second zone is a water warm floor. Each zone has own water circulation pump, controlled by Ecodan.Basic Ecodan heating logic is simple: - turn 2-way valve to DHW tank, heat water for domestic needs- turn 2-way valve to mixing tank, heat water for space heating (first and second zones)- go to DHW mode if needed- ...- and so onMain issue here is that when Ecodan switching mode to DHW, both water pumps for space heating at first and second zones are stopped.It turns out that at first a whole mixing tank of water is heated, and while it heats up, water is pumped through the space heating pipes for both zones. But as soon as the operating mode changes to DHW, the pumping of already hot water from mixing tank stops. This looks very ineffici

Hi all, I’m extending our 1960s bungalow with a two storey side extension where our existing garage is. The house has a single phase supply, terrible insulation and the gas meter will have to be moved. We are looking to perhaps install a heat pump, improve insulation and maybe even solar panels. We are an OVO customer and have cadent as our gas transporter. We want to be eligible for any grants available so any advice on what to sort first? Thinking 1. change to a 3 supply as most likely be needed ( or should I get electrician into advise/ quote) then 2. Get insulation upgraded in main house to facilitate grants for heat pump 3. Get heat pump installed then join in extension at later date 4. Move gas supply before extension built - we don’t have a builder yet this is purely planning. Hoping someone has some good advice. 

where are the traditional pre-payment  energy tariffs on the website? I can’t find them anywhere

The OVO website mentions two 3-rate tariifs - Flexiheat and Superdeal:https://www.ovoenergy.com/help/article/electric-heating/three-rate-tariffsWe are on Superdeal but would like to find out the details of Flexiheat, ie the prices for the 3 rates.  I have tried the OVO chat function but they appear to know nothing about this (and gave a lot of misinformation).How do I find out if I can switch to Flexiheat and, if so, what are the prices?  

I find the use of kWh as a label for time based electrical usage readings really confusing.Why aren’t you labelling the readings as kW. Using kWh for time based measurement readings is really confusing. If it was labelled kW it would make more sense.e.g. one of my half hour readings says 0.46 kWh.Does this mean I have really used 0.23 kW in half an hour, 0.46kW, or 0.92 kW? 

if my meter is not displaying or making any sound how do i top up with a keyi put money on card and put it in but dont no if gone on  i was told by ovo it would still work but its not saying anything just blank  im disabled and need my meds in the fridge so if electric goes then what they just dont want to no very rude on the phone they was

I am presently with OVO for my gas only but would like to have both gas and electricity with OVO. How do I change this? I can’t seem to find an upgrade for both, only gives me an option for a new gas tariff when I attempt it online 

Hi,why does is take a month to get my smart meter fixed. First time I have had to use OVO support in the nearly 6 years I have been with OVO. To say I am far from impressed is an understatement. Anyone had similar issues?

Any idea why my Bright app doesn’t show whole chucks of days ? I have half hour data showing for 8th August only, prior to that just 9th July, 3rd, 5th and 9th June, 30th May.Everything was fine until 28th May. 

was just wondering do you know why I’m being charged 2 p more than I should . I’ve added up my charges that make up my electricity consumption charge and there’s a 2p difference . Is this because they round up the total to the nearest pence ?  his is on my electricity usage page on the app .so I’ve added my electricity usage from for example the 22nd July to the 14th august and it’s out by 2p . I was just trying to get my head round it because I was told OVO round the totals up but I couldn’t remember what they round it up too. It would be great if you could help me .  why do they round it up and down? 

Hello. Around a year ago I requested SSE to install a Smart Meter. They attempted this but even with an “extra large” aerial it wouldn’t connect to the network. So the engineer took it out and put back our old dumb meter. I asked about connecting via WiFi but that functionality isn’t available (which seems pretty dumb imo). My question are these: has the OVO takeover changed anything? Or have Telefonica/O2 improved their coverage (from frankly awful) in the last 12 months? Basically: is it worth trying again? And, as an aside; why don’t the meters communicate via WiFi? My mobile phone can use WiFi Calling so it’s perfectly possible. Thanks.

Took a reading yesterday at 4pm them 9-30 pm message top up required when there was over £500 in my prepaid account. This morning showing over £100 disappeared over night and that's impossible 

Hoping someone can help with this smart meter problem.The little display plug in thing was working fine then suddenly it is only reading gas meter & not the electric meter.I have tried some suggestions about resetting,but nothing has worked.😒

I am currently on THTC but with a single rate for both meters as I don't have storage heaters or other timed appliances.   I am due to have a smart meter installed on Tuesday which I am very pleased about after lots of aggravation over recent months.  Because of the THTC system,  there are 2 consumer units for the different circuits in the flat.  Will the installation engineer do the necessary work to connect both consumer units into the meter?

why should car charging cost less than me heating my house?

Just lately our charge anytime is still charging after the set “ Ready by” time.We’ve set 6am as a ready by time yet the car is still charging at 06:51 after not charging at all between 18:00 and 06:00.No changes have been made to the app.
