How do I log into PAYG app for the first time?

Is there actually an easy way of talking to Customer Services? I've been waiting on online chat for an hour and I'm still in a queue. All I need to do is register for the new Ovo app so I can add credit to my meters. One would have thought registering for an app would be simple and straightforward. Apparently not, as Ovo insist on telling me I've entered the wrong account details. I haven't got time to wait any longer as I've got things to do. Don't Ovo realise that people are busy and haven't got time to sit around all day?

So, I've wasted all that time and still can't use the app. Now what do I do?

Sorry to hear about the issues you’ve experienced when contacting our PAYG Support Team. Hopefully I can save you contacting again about this. Please follow these steps to get logged in:

 

  • Visit https://my.ovoenergy.com/login
  • Click ‘set up account’
  • Enter your email address when prompted
  • You’ll be sent an email containing a link from which to set a new password
  • Once you’ve set a new password, you’ll then have access to the online account (web browser version).

 

Once you’ve got access to to the online account, you can then log into the app with the same email address and password you’ve just set. You can find the link to download the app here.
