I just installed Charge Anytime for my Mercedes EQC 400.

I have it set on Min 50% and Max 100%.

My question:

Why can’t it just be set to a 100% charge, or even 95%? I don’t want it to only charge 50%. I’ve tried it twice and all I get the car charged is around 50% but I need the battery to be fully charge for my longer journeys. It’s quite stressful not knowing if I’ll have enough battery or not when I leave the house in the morning.

Is it meant to work like this? Why can’t I just set the % I want it charged at? The highest I can move the Min charge to is 50%. I’ve contacted OVO but they’re not getting back to me.

Thanks.

Since having OVO Charge Anytime my Tesla has charged over night and has been at the set 80% when I get in in the morning. Recently this keeps failing and I’m not getting to the 80%. Now that’s not a problem if I’m doin my normal commute I just have to put it on charge more regularly. A bit of a pain but I can cope.

But recently I’ve had to use public chargers because I’ve had longer journeys and OVO hasn’t. Got me to 80% in the morning. This is despite having 60% charge one time?

I have emailed support but thought I would post here as well.

If this has been posted elsewhere then happy to be pointed in that direction but couldn’t see it with a quick search

Hi @Scoops ,

Sounds like the team need to dig the logs, which we can’t do via the Forum I’m afraid. It’s the first time I’ve heard of this, so I can’t advise from experience.

Try 0330 175 9678 Option 2 though :)

Hi @Scoops,

I’m sorry to hear this.

I can see that some good advice has already been given by one of our forum volunteers. If you’re unable to get a response from the team please let us know so we can see if we’re able to help further.

I would probably disagree a little bit there. Personally a black Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+ AMG Line seems a pretty sweet deal to get from insurance if you ask me. Especially those registered in October 2022 - apparently they were the best month for that model that year. :)

Charge Anytime only sends commands to start and stop charging iirc. The team on OVO’s side have full access to the logs so they can dig deeper. If you let them know about this, they’ll look into it and get back to you.

My EQC does this keeps resorting to 50 % every 10 minutes

Hey @mark3166 ,

That’s currently expected behaviour for Mercedes EVs. That particular integration into Charge Anytime is still in Beta at the moment, so the only way to Charge Anytime to control charging is to flip charging limits between 50% and your normal level. Please allow it to do so - you’ll still get the desired charges whenever an actual charging session is running though!

Ok will try this thanks

Just signed up for Charge Anytime and put my ID.4 charging last night, expecting it to be charged to 80% this morning.  Actually its only charged to 39% which is just below the minimum that I set - it was on about 30% when i started charging.     So my guess is that its stopped charging as it crossed the threshold to go into lower cost charging cost. This is obvs not what should have happened.

Any ideas?

Hi @Anthony Saxby ,

That does seem a bit strange to me. Could you let the team know? 0330 175 9678 should be open for the day within the next 15-90 minutes. They can dig this for you.

Thanks!

Hey @Anthony Saxby

Just checking in to see if you managed to speak with the Charge Anytime team yet? Hopefully we can get to the bottom of your charging issues. Keep us updated on your progress!
