Are you already on any of the trials by any chance? As far as I’m aware, there’s none that are currently open to new applicants right now, but I think there’s more planned soon. They’re all usually listed over at https://www.ovoenergy.com/smart-home and OVO usually aims to announce when new trials are launching and able to accept sign ups.

It’s possible that this one might open up soon, but I’m not quite sure just yet. I’ll double check with @Jess_OVO and get back to you.

Have a kaluza smart + charger, tons of smart home tech and took part in a virtual interview with Monica at OVO Research recently where I mentioned I'd be really interested in any battery storage, solar power, heat pump etc.

Signed up to the first battery storage trial a few years ago but think that was only to a limited area not in London and never heard back.

Would be great to have the opportunity to take part in any of these other trials @Tim_OVO  @Jess_OVO  if possible please! :-)

However, now that you’re here, please do feel free to explore everything else we have to offer. The forums are a great resource for tons of stuff and is led by volunteers such as myself. If you ever need help with something, you’ll almost always get an answer if you stop by. :)

I did also have a v2g charger a long time ago but as I changed ev we got them to remove it so someone else could benefit from having it.

Hopefully! There’s new trials that do become available every so often, so you could get lucky.

There’s also something else that actually helps us out a lot too. If you ever spot any weird bugs, glitches or other issues with anything on OVO’s platforms, feel free to let us know here on the forums! 

Some of the volunteers like myself absolutely love bug hunting, so we’re always happy to help with getting the pesky critters captured and squashed.

Have a bug with my kaluza smart + charger where it will only go up to 31 amps even in boost mode instead of up to 32 amps. Anyone else have this?

It did keep tripping the 32amp breaker when charging every so often even when turned down to 29 amps so they changed the breaker to a combined 40 amp unit this week.

Hopefully I'm not just unlucky as the exact same unit I had before that died about 2 years ago which they had the replace

Hi all new to the group just had an ASHP installed last week as part of the trial we had a  mitsubushi  PAC IF073B with 170L tank, so far so good at the moment. Can I get access to the smart home trial area.

I can definitely request for you to be given a key for the Smart Home Trials Treehouse, but I think @Tim_OVO has already gone home and might not be back until Monday. We’ll aim to get you in as soon as we can though. I don’t have ModPowers myself… Unfortunately. 

Please feel free to explore the forums in the meantime though, as there’s quite a lot to discover and we’re always happy to chat.
