Entered wrong meter reading when I moved in - can this be changed?

Hi ​@Marrs25 ,

Long story short you’ll need to explain to OVO Support that you gave the wrong start readings and that you need to have them corrected. Please submit the corrected readings using the M3 version directly from the meter as part of this.

If you don’t know the start reading, OVO will have to estimate it as a fallback.

Sorry to hear this, but I’m glad to see one of the volunteers has already stopped by with some really great advice.

 

You’ll have to get in touch with the Support Team so they can correct this, it’s unlikely that the online system will accept the corrected reading as it’s unlikely to fall in line with the one already submitted so you’ll have to speak with the team so they can fix this.

 

As Blastoise186 mentioned, if you don’t know what the correct opening reading was, the team will estimate this based in the current correct meter reading.

 

It’s likely they’ll want to see a photo of the meter so they can confirm the reading and the meter details are also correct so it’ll be good to have that to hand before you reach out.
