Underfloor heating from Permanently connected radio meter.

Hello everybody, Thank you all for your input to my two meter problem. As I said I have two meters and on the 18th OVO we’re going to change them for a smart meter. They said that my radio meter would stop working on the 13th. I told them that there is a sticker on it which says permanently connected but they do not seem to understand that. The cut off date has passed and everything is still working which I expected. I have cancelled the meter change as I do not feel that I as yet have enough information. Looking at the two tariffs that I posted on here I would say that it is going to cost more with the smart meter and as one of you pointed out my underfloor heating which I have never liked would perhaps not be up to muster if it was only used in the off peak times, running it on the peak times would cost a lot more. The smart meter does not seem to me to be a good idea for people with underfloor heating. If I had a house with no underfloor heating I would not have it put in and would consider storage heaters, can they be programmed to only come on during off peak times ? I would expect so. As someone pointed out buying storage heaters is a bit of a minefield as every maker says there’s are more efficient,  but someone told me that all electric heaters are 100 percent efficient which is correct as I have looked into it. I know that gas is cheaper but where I live there is only bottled gas. I am beginning to think that switching off the underfloor heating and going for storage heaters would may be the best way forward. My next question is when I eventually get a smart meter can you still change suppliers even if the meter has been put in by OVO. Please do give me lots to think about as this is a steep learning curve for me. Thank you all. I do hope that I have not done anything wrong by posting here but I seem to have lost my previous posts on this subject, my computer seems as much confused as I am. My excuse is that I am 87.
