I am currently in the process of installing an EcoFlow Stream 800W microintverter grid-tied system and am wondering what Ovo needs me to do regarding any registration. I have a smart meter and I don’t really care too much about  being paid for surplus generation as I doubt it would ever be much, but just don’t want to contravene any rules! Can anyone help please?

If you’re not looking for any SEG or other export tariff then there’s nothing supplier wise that is needed - it’s useful to let them know so that a sudden drop in usage might be expected.

I can’t quite tell from your post but you know of the requirements to notify your DNO I presume? This is completely different to a supply company.

I think I answered my own question with a little research! All of a sudden I do care about being paid for surplus now I found out about Beyond! :-)

Yes, thanks, I am aware of that. All should be dealt with once my electrician certifies the installation.

If you do want to register for export then most suppliers will ask for an MCS or equivalent certificate. You would also want to get a meter registration (MPAN) set up for registering export.
