Hi @Vincey456 ,

Sure thing! I’ll get a Forum Moderator to swing by in the morning - they’ll reach out to you directly.

I can’t offer you a specific one, but @Ben_OVO and @Chris_OVO have jumped on a lot of these.

Hey @Vincey456,

keep an eye out for a private message from me. I’ll need a bit of info from you so we can get that replacement sorted out.

Hello. I have just recently started using my electric blanket and I've gone to use it this morning and it won't turn on. I've tried the hard rest but there's no power going to the outlet. Any recommendations please? Thank you

Howdy @Abbs51 ,

I’ll grab @Ben_OVO for that one. OVO Support is supposed to be able to do this as well, so I’m not sure why they redirected you here. But yes, we do have the ability to get replacements sent out via the Forum Moderators.

Bear with me and I’ll get their attention for you!

@Abbs51 thanks for your post. If you haven’t already, please could you try unplugging the blanket, and then plugging it back in. This needs to be done when the safety cut off kicks in, in order to get the blanket switched on again.

I’d also recommend signing up to the Priority Services Register if you haven’t already. You can sign up online here: https://www.ovoenergy.com/register-for-priority-services.

Thanks for confirming!

I’ll keep an eye on this thread and let the Forum Moderators know if it slips the net. They’ll probably swing by again fairly soon though as they check all new replies at least once every day Monday-Friday.

They are not meant to get snywhere near as warm as an electric blanket for your bed does.

They are meant to be used when sitting or reclining on a chair or couch, just pulled around you or laid over you.

Have a look at the pictures here:

@Abbs51 I can’t speak for the OVO-supplied ones, as I don’t have one myself. I do have a very similar electric throw though, and it doesn’t get that warm even when on the max setting of ‘9’.

I can speak for the OVO ones as I’ve got two versions myself.

The one from Purple Chameleon (roughly 2023) gets somewhat warm when you crank it to max, but the one from Exertis (2025) runs a bit cooler. The idea is really more a “top-up” than it is anything else.

If you find yourself getting absolutely desperate and you don’t mind spending a bit of money, stuff like Fourth Element X-Core, Fourth Element j2 and Fourth Element Arctics help a ton with my diving and can basically make just about anyone toasty (they’re designed for Antarctica after all!). If you’d rather not spend the money on Arctics, there are cheaper alternatives out there that work reasonably well and you can probably find a few divers selling their old sets on eBay (they’re machine washable too!). Caution: this stuff is crazy overpowered, please don’t sleep while wearing it as you risk overheating.

Admittedly, Arctics aren’t exactly fashion statements and will turn you into a generic black-clad ninja, but just about nothing beats them if your goal is to keep warm without racking up huge heating bills.

Recently recieved my free heated blanket, which i am very very greatful for, but I have used it twice and now it does not work will not turn on

No obvious signs of damage, tried changing the fuse which made no difference. Is there anything I can do about this??

Hey @Jessyboo4,

I’ve combined your topic with this thread so we can keep all our conversations about electric blankets together. You’ll find some troubleshooting steps in the best answer of the post. If those don’t do the trick, just let me know, and I’d be happy to help arrange a replacement blanket for you 😊

Hi @Chris_OVO
