Faulty electric blanket

I also have a blanket that’s been used a handful of times and now no longer works. I’ve tried several plug sockets and checked the connection.
In the booklet it says when the safety feature kicks in it will no longer work and need to be sent back to Exertis. 
There seems to be an obvious problem with these blankets, which is a shame. My daughter has been using it. 
I’d be grateful for someone to contact me about a replacement please. Thank you.

I’ve seen a few people mentioning this recently! It sounds like a common glitch with the latest batch of throws. Before you give up on it, try the 'hard reset' that worked for me: unplug it completely from the wall and disconnect the cable from the blanket itself for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in. Sometimes the safety timer trips and it just needs a total power cycle to wake up.

If it’s still dead, definitely don’t just bin it. You can message the OVO Support Team directly or use the 'Extra Support' section in the app to request a replacement. They’re usually pretty quick at swapping out the faulty ones since they know a few 'duds' made it into the mix.

Has anyone who received an electric blanket from ovo had issues? Mine was working perfectly but the plug has now stopped working and I've tried all the troubleshooting! Does anyone know how or where to get a replacement power connector?

Have you double-checked that the cable is pushed all the way into the blanket itself? Sometimes they feel like they’re in but need a proper 'click' to register. If that doesn't work, since you got it through OVO, it might be worth giving their support team a shout - they're usually pretty good about replacements for faulty items from the support package.

Thanks for this useful suggestion - will be helpful to others no doubt! 

 

Another thing to note with the blankets we’re sending - when the safety cut off kicks in (timer), it wont work again until you unplug it fully and put it back in. I believe this has caught a few people out.

I have tried the basics: tried it in a different plug sockets, checked the fuse, unplugging it and leaving it unplugged, checked for any visible damage (which there doesn't appear to be). Open to other suggestions to try- its just doesnt turn on or heat up...

Hi there,

 

I kindly received an electric blanket from Ovo/Exertis but unfortunately it stopped working after 2 uses. Is there someone to contact for a replacement?

Hello, I have the same problem with the heated throw. Used a couple of times and it was amazing, however the control panel has stopped working. I've unplugged it, tried it in different socket, changed the fuse, unplugged it from blanket and the control  panel isn't switching on at all. Any advice welcome.
