Conflict of apps (Volvo / Charge)?

I have a Volvo V60 T6, which my app recognises, but the App charge history is going an ‘unknown device’ and the T6 being charged, which almost double the kWh compared to the charger App and the Volvo App. Any ideas?

after discussions with the lovely Catherine on the phone, I have deleted the App.  My car is actually an MY2023 and doesn't need it, I can do it all through the Volvo App, it is probably the conflict of Apps causing the issues.

Hi @Andy Fewings ,

Might be worth having the team check! Try 0330 175 9678 and they’ll take a peek for you.

Ok, so now, having deleted the V60 to try and clear the doubled up readings, I can’t now add it back, as the third party Kaluza or whatever it is called doesn’t list Volvos… despite OVO listing the car as compatible.. it did once, but not it doesn’t….

I might have to consider paying the fine to get out of the OVO contract and move on..

You need to add it via the Volvo app.

Any issues, call 0330 175 9678 and the team can fix this up.

It’s in the Volvo app, and I can’t see how to ‘add it’ as you say. My accounts are all linked.

Hey @Andy Fewings

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble getting the car re-connected. I did check in with the Charge Anytime team to see if they could offer some support at this stage, though Blastoise186 raised a good point, you can always contact the team directly too.

They did say if you go to the Volvo App, then to the Charge screen and there'll be a Charge Anytime 'Learn More' banner which will prompt you. If you can’t see that you may need to log out/log back in a couple of times and also make sure you have the latest Volvo app version.

If you’re still having trouble after this, please do come back and let us know or reach out to the Charge Anytime team directly.

Let us know how you get on.

@Abby_OVO we have a Volvo EX40 2026 and OVO fitted our hypervolt pro 3, had so many different messages from OVO, last was to delete our OCA app with hypervolt charger disconnected and only charge via volvo app as we were getting double billed. We now cannot charge the car even though volvo is connected to charge anytime (confirmed) and in volvo app shows car as scheduled and ready with hypervolt pro in scheduled mode (not plug and play), but wake up and nothing, losing the will to live!

I had exactly the same issue and it was eventually sorted by the charger manufacturer. (Sync Energy wall charger 2). They accessed the charger remotely and changed its ‘mode’ to ‘plug and charge’. This is not an end user setting, it has to be done by them. The charger now simply provides electricity, to the car whenever the car car asks for it with no prompt required by the charger app, all schedules off in the app and the Volvo App controls the situation and car now charges properly overnight and is ready by whatever time I have set the app to have it ready.

i have also informed Volvo Technical of this.

@Andy Fewings thx, spoke with hypervolt all ok there end, we can set plug and charge via the hypervolt app. Will try this as would replicate what you have shared.
