Charge Anytime and Ohme connection issue update: important information for our customers

We're aware of a connection issue affecting Ohme customers between 27 May and 2 June. This means that any charging that took place during these dates wont be visible in your savings insights page in the Ohme app. Credit owed for smart charging between 27 May and 30 May also won’t be included in Charge Anytime credit you received at the start of June.

The issue is now resolved. Any missing credit owed for May and June will be added to your account as a separate Charge Anytime credit by 13 June. You don’t need to do anything and the credit will be applied automatically to your account. It’ll show on your next bill as ‘Charge Anytime Credit Adjustment’.

“Savings insights” have also been updated with the missing data in the Ohme app over the period the issue occurred. If you toggle back to May insights the savings will now be updated.

Thanks for the information. I'll give it a go later when I get home, thanks.

I've set up another account on the Ohme app, unticked dynamic charging. Set a schedule in the charge anytime up to be ready by 6.30 am. I've plugged in and it's charging at maximum straight away as shown in the Ohme app.  The charge anytime app says car unplugged.

It did charge eventually, but I presume I’ll only get the charge anytime rate at the point it worked out the car was plugged in, which was ages.

Some vehicles are just faster at checking in than others.

OVO seem to have a very short sighted approach to integration! It's clear that integrating with smart chargers is and will continue to be the most stable solution.

What is the reason OVO have stopped OHME integration? The real reason !

I thought we couldn’t use the ohme app after the 15th and have to use the charge anytime app? When I plug my car in I still need to go into the ohme app and accept the plug in and then wait a few minutes for it to show up on the charge anytime app. Can I keep doing it this way as it means I keep the lock functions on the charger? Also ohme wont let me change to 100% charge even though my car is set to charge to 100% anyone had this before?

You can still use the Ohme app for other functions such as locking the charger buttons or approving plug-ins. You just need to leave the vehicle integration disabled, remove charging schedules/limits and select a random tariff as the Charge Anytime app needs exclusive control over those. Otherwise, pretty much everything else will work.

For the random tarriff it is still on Anytime and I can’t remove it the price cap is disabled. Also I charged the car last night and this morning but I set the car to 80% and it was still charging when it was at 85%, why would this be happening?

Ah yeah, I can suggest a fix for that. If you delete and rebuild your Ohme account (make sure to re-link the new account to the Charger!), it’ll get rid of the current tariff settings and you can then set the tariff manually. That should also resolve some of your other issues. It’s possible there’s a clash going on by both systems trying to control charging at once - rebuilding the Ohme account should fix that.

If you find yourself getting badly stuck, let the Charge Anytime team know via 0330 175 9678 and they’ll dig the logs.
