Have you had an email from OVO advising that you’ll get the payment @Aili ?

No I have not had anything

In that case, you will probably have to apply for it once the form becomes available (supposed to be soon). The government sent eligibility criteria to the energy suppliers but if anyone got missed, they need to apply themselves apparently

Ok thank you

Thanks for the link to the post code data list. Unfortunately my post code does not appear on that list, despite having used oil to heat my house for over 35 years now. So I wont get linked to the census nor will my MPAN be identified to OVO.

There is yet to be a government form to complete to make my claim. Can OVO with all its clout speak to someone in the know, so you can explain exactly what happens now to people like me! It the gov website says the form would be available in “ late February/ Early March. As it is now 5th March I would suggest that both time scales have passed!

I don’t think there’s much OVO can do to be honest. It’s out of their hands other than simply being given a bunch of cash and told who to give what parts of it to.

Hey @Andrew Porteous,

Sorry for the issues you’re having,

When the GOV website is updated with a form or helpline for those customers who feel they are eligible but haven’t been assigned payments, I’ll update this thread with that information.

Hope this helps.

@Andrew Porteous Meanwhile, you might want to bookmark this page and visit it daily. Either there will be a link to the application form, or they’ll give another new deadline.

Thanks everyone. Made my application. Have to now wait up to 6 weeks for a decision. Interestingly the payment(dv) will come from my local council, not through OVO.

So April I imagine, in time for the gin season!

There has been a similar scheme for those that had to apply manually for the Energy Bill Support Scheme that also involved the council, that launched last week.

Good you got your application in early.

OVO refunded me the £200 I was in credit with my accounts but have sent me an email and txt saying it was the £200 from the government because I don’t have Gas. This is my money that I had paid getting into credit then they tell me I have £200 going into my account as I don’t have gas.

Hi @Weefran28

Welcome to the forum.

Good question

The £200 is this from the government as you don't have mains gas.
