Heating won’t go off after smart meter install

Hi ​@Rastup - you mention thermostats and timers (plural)? Can you post photos of these and your meter wiring (no personal details as this is a public forum).

I guess you don’t have a before photo of your previous meter?

Check your boiler as well, just in case that started back up in a different mode. 

Pictures of your thermostat and timer would be useful. Some digital timers have battery backup, to keep them running during short power interruptions. An extended loss of power (possible whilst the meter was changed) can cause the timer to lose the time and/or settings.

we have upstairs and downstairs controls. downstairs seems ok, but upstairs radiators hot even when heating set ti off at control. weve tried swapping control fronts and changing batteries, weve tried moving the antifrost dial at the boiler as it looked maybe different to normal , if that though i dont understand why it only seems to affect upstairs. thanks ​@BPLightlog 

Presuming that your controls are similar upstairs and down, there seems to be a manual override and off control. 

does that not do anything for the upstairs ?

I must admit that I’m confused how the upstairs/downstairs are separated in terms of delivery … are there controls on the radiators to achieve this ?

Is the Potterton thermostat on the first image the “frost” stat? If so this should be set around 5°C not 20°C. If this is the “frost” stat then it is over-riding the timer/thermostat forcing the boiler on. Why this effects just upstairs I have no idea!

hi the manual over ride does not switch heating off, some radiators dont have controls upstairs and down, the rest do. thanks

I think it should be at 5°C!
